Hm, i think you are right that these were some sort of astral parasites; but don't worry, cause i think your mother in the dream represents your higher self, your higher being; also, obviously as a result you learned how to raise the energy in the astral; the physical injure is weird - once i had a dream, that there is a wasp nest into my palm; when i got up, there was pain in my palm; but dont think it was coincidence.
Not long ago, i had an OBE and when i realized where i was i saw a fat worm feeding with my right hand!! Nasty feeling, no doubt; I used a conjuration on it and the worm dissapeared.
Parasites are always there i think; Basicly this is their way to 'live'; To get rid of them you have to fight with the egos.

one at a time I'm sure I could handle these things, but I think whole swarms of them see me as an easy target.  I guess now I'm more aware of them I can shoo them off a bit more easily.

The other morning I had the strangest dream.  I remember with perfect clarity but its hard to describe.  I was in a room which was unfamilar, surrounded by family.  There was a nature show on TV, only it was no ordinary nature show.  On the screen were images of strange, glow in the dark (shades of blue) creatures in a variety of shapes and sizes, floating around like jellyfish but in a black void.  The voice over (which was coming from my right) was stating that these creatures are non toxic, and merely feed off their hosts.  I reached out to grab one (at this point I was imersed in the scene previously shown on the TV, and I felt the presence of someone beside me) and it latched on with claw like arms.  It was about twice the size of my hands.  It then inserted a long, needle like fang into my little finger, which caused no pain but I felt a draining sensation.  I flicked it off and it withdrew, and i looked at my finger which had a tiny hole in it, but no blood was coming out.  Then I heard the voice of my mother telling me to breathe the energy.  Since then I've found doing energy work as easy as breathing.  I just imagine the energy being drawn into me as easily as if it were.

My own opinion is that I was shown astral parasites feeding on me, and that I can raise my energy, and that I can flick them off.  The fact that it left a hole was a bit of a worry because it implys that some kind of barrier has been breached and left open which could be an easy target for parasites.  I wonder how long it takes to heal.

Also, the finger which was affected has a sore on it which I don't remember actually injuring.  Maybe its a coincidence.
