Importance of vibrations, and the not so dependable brain

Well, for my first post...I would just like to use it to get people to think a little.  I am not sure if this belongs here- so feel free to move it if need be.

Have you ever truly thought about the importance of a vibration in this physical life? Everything that is perceived by the not so dependable human brain is due to vibration. So it is fair to see that we owe our entire earthly existence and consciousness to vibrations. For those who do not understand what I mean, I will explain. Growing up in school, we learn that everything is made up of either a solid, liquid, or gas. Aside from the chemical properties, have you realized what is the factor that truly separates these three things? You guessed it, vibrations. We know that the atoms in solids vibrate at a much slower frequency than liquids and gas. This is what keeps the object a solid. Molecules are continuesly vibrating and interacting off of each other within a smaller space. As they vibrate off of each other, they lose kinetic energy which in turn slows them down. On the other hand, these very same molecules are found in gases but since there is such a large space for these molecules, they rarely bounce and vibrate off of each other, therefore they dont lose as much kinetic energy and vibrate faster. Gases also lack effective attraction with other particles. Now to move on to perception of these objects (vibrations). To be able to see with our eyes, we need light. Light is simply vibrating 'waves' of energy. This vibrating energy, bounces off of an object (vibrating atoms) and is reflected towards the lens located in the eye. This light is then bent inwards to converge equally in the back of the eye, at the optic disc. Light vibration is then converted into electrical vibration, which is sent through the optic nerve and to the brain where the vibration is interpreted by the brain (vibrating atoms). Unfortunately, the brain is not able to interpret all vibrations of light or many other types of vibration for that matter...i'll touch on this a bit later. Again, light that is able to be recognized by the brain has to be of a certain vibration, otherwise our brain cannot interpret it. This, as I said earlier, makes the brain not so dependable. The vibrational range of light that can be interpreted by the brain is so small, and so many other types exist around us at all times...we just have little or no consciousness of it. Infrared, ultraviolet, X-ray, and Gamma ray's are just a few examples. These types of lights are around us all the time, but we have absolutely no consciousness of it....does that make it not real? Of course not. That is the problem though....we live in a society in which seeing is believing. Think of what is existing around us right now that is of a different vibrational range and all of the possibilities.

These same principles apply to each and every one of our five senses, not just vision. Take hearing for example. Sound is also a wave, which contain different vibrations. Higher pitch sounds have a higher vibration/shorter wave length while low pitch sounds are of a lower vibration and lower wave length. These vibrations hit the tympanic membrane in the ear, vibrate the ossicles of the middle ear, and send vibration down the cochlea. The electrical energy is then interpreted inside of the brain. Just like for light, there are sound vibrations that are outside of the range that can be understood by the brain. Again, just because our brains aren't able to interpret them, does not mean they do not exist.

I got off topic a little, but the purpose for my post was to get people to think a little. Look at what all has to be done for our brain to interpret something, and how high of a risk there is for error during the process. Not only is there high risk for error, but our brain is not capable of understanding even a small amount of what exists on this earth. So think of what all may lie outside of that small vibrational range. You will begin to think about the spiritual life, and different realms. You will realize that the physical and spiritual planes are very similar, and are only separated by different vibrations. Each of these realms, such as etheric and astral, exist on a different vibrational frequency that is just not understood by the physical brain...but they are able to be understood, but thats for another conversation.

Great post man. The universe is far from solid, calm place that we like to think it to be. Everything that we perceive with our senses is essentially a vibration of certain frequency. What we perceive as 'solid' is actually moving with speeds so absurd that we're unable to detect. Which makes me think. We're stuck in the middle of this vibrational chaos, limited to a very small part of the scale (technology widens it a tiny bit) of detectable vibration. We can't perceive anything out of bounds of our own frequency, so I suppose if it is possible to heighten your own vibrational level you could perceive much more. And possibly become invisible at a certain point.

I like to think of the world as one giant equalizer. Whatever is done in it, the equalizer ...well, equalizes it. Like a string on a guitar, you pick it and it will vibrate for a certain amount of time and after that it will stop. Same thing happens with whatever we do: action -> reaction -> cooldown. My point is that whatever the 'great plan' might be everything always comes down to the same basic procedure.

I think there is but one thing in the Universe that defies vibration, and that is our consciousness.

Maybe perhaps this should be moved to philosophy?

Thanks Imp- its pretty amazing if you sit down and think about it all.....

I was just thinking about the same thing today. All matter occupies the same space but is differentiated by it's vibrational frequency. An anology of radio waves comes to mind. They occupy the same space but are entirely independant of each other.

If we could perceive higher vibrations with our eyes then I guess we would be able to see into the spirit realm. I think... :-D

And you could say that every physical thing has a non-physical, higher vibratory counterpart. Perception of the "spirit realm" would be done with the non-physical counterpart for our eyes, which would probably be considered the "3rd eye" or brow chakra.

Good point stookie- I like to think of the 'higher vibratory counterpart' as a spirit and/or soul. Yes, there are many ways to perceive these higher vibrations whether it be through projection (my personal favorite),energy work, being clairvoyant, intuition, etc...There are other ways to perceive information other than the 5 senses...we are not limited to physical aspects....

Another thing to think about.....isnt it amazing how each cell in your body is individualized, and functions on its own, and vibrates at its own frequency, yet it all works together to create life.  Its also amazing how one is able to put their awareness into a certain part of their body and communicate with those specific cells to be able to feel certain things..which brings me to another point.  Where there is a brain, there is consciousness....but where there is consciousness there is not necessarily a brain.  Each cell in your body has a consciousness....and what I mean by that is- it is proven scientifically that certain cells/bacteria react to certain stimuli whether it be light, heat, etc... so it is fair to say that they have a certain amount consciousness to them. Pretty neat to think about :).

I often wondered if we have a higher self and if the higher self is aware of the lower self but not vise versa. And then again maybe there are no "selves" and just the "one" with each of us just a tentacle.
