When there is grogginess it is the other way around for me. It happens during the meditation and goes away as soon as I stop. In any case, grogginess is not a good thing. It is very uncomfortable. The first thing I'd suggest is making sure that you are getting enough sleep and exercise. Taking care of your body in general helps keep the channels clear. If that doesn't help and it doesn't go away on its own after a week or two, it could be that you are encountering resistance of some form. It might be necessary to evaluate your associations with other people, work situation, living conditions, to see if you are stuck somewhere in unhealthy conditions. If you could be more specific, please, about the posture you use, the technique you use, when you meditate, when you take your meals, and how your work and sleep and socializing fit around your meditation it might me easier to be specific about things to try.

I didn't bother to mention this because  I think it's in a post somewhere else on this site, but I'll mention it now.
I have a wooden headboard on my bed,and a spirit was tapping that headboard like crazy. Another spirit was tapping the Maxim calendar on the south wall. He must like the look of the woman's picture for this month.  Tap tap tap tap tap. It finally stopped tapping after I burned some purification herbs. I just about turned my eyes red from the smoke.
Before I meditate I call my guardians. I do passive meditations. Where I just close my eyes and wait for something to appear. I also do other meditations where I meditate upon a specific thing or circumstance. I listen to repitive sounds like drum beats as well. I either lie down or sit when I meditate. I usually lie down because of where I am living I can only meditate in my bedroom. I still ground myself though.
As far as eating and exercise is concerned that is fine.

its not so much groggy for me but having to  develop a new mood from scratch.
like if im hyperactive pre-meditation,   this will be gone afterwards and i am left to  go about my business as if it were a new morning.

Sometimes when I come out of a meditation I feel really groggy.
