I was born a Muslim and after rethinking, I saw the flaws of the religion and for the last year and I am an atheist. But after a while of thinking about atheism and their disbelieve of a second live, I'm kind of confused as I succeeded before in astral Projection and I believe that human actually evolve to have a sole or a projectable double as Mr. Bruce named it.

So what do u guys think ?

An atheist shouldn't disbelieve in a second life, they should simply view the probability - based on current evidence - of such a thing existing as being extremely small. A seasoned atheist would also not view one or two personal experiences (in seclusion) of astral projection as conclusive proof, due to the many unknown factors in the experience, how it occurred and our current knowledge of mind and brain. It's perfectly possible to project and be an atheist, it simply means you remain open minded and don't buy into any particular belief system regarding what AP is.

But, Mr. Jingo, wouldn't that make the person an agnostic, and not an athiest? Athiests believe in no afterlife. Agnostics believe in something, they just don't claim to know what it is.

At least, I'm pretty sure that's right.
There are in every man, always, two simultaneous allegiances, one to God, the other to Satan. Invocation of God, or Spirituality, is a desire to climb higher, that of Satan, or animality, is delight in descent.

An agnostic simply doesn't make any decision regardless of the presented evidence. An atheist decides that the probability of a god existing is incredibly small based upon the currently available evidence, but doesn't discount the possibility of a god existing entirely. For example, a Christian would be considered atheist in regards to ancient Gods such as Thor and Zeus.
An anti-theist disbelieves in the existence of any god. people usually confuse atheism with anti-theism.

Ah, I see. Anti-theist...

Thanks for clearing that up.

Thank you guys for this great explanations, but I was looking for a definition to what people that think that human evolved to a species that able to have an after life. My theory is, that we are living this life as a stage in our life cycle like a butterfly going from Caterpillar to fully butterfly. And I think we are in this stage to just charge our subtle bodies in order to survive in the after death. I also believe that sleeping is kind of gift of evolution to give us a glimpse or a training backyard to learn how to live the after life.

Oblivion

I dont believe in religion, religion dictates what is and is not and can sometimes steal peoples free will instead of allowing people from birth to find things out for themselves. I went to a church of England school and was brainwashed into believing in Jesus etc but once I left and began learning for myself my belief system has changed dramatically, I believe from evidence that a life after death may be possible but I do not believe in heaven or hell and I certainly dont believe in a supreme being that created everything.

Instead of organised religion why cant we all just believe what we want and keep it to ourselves, I have no intention of starting my own religion off and building a church, my beliefs are my own, if someone shares the same beliefs good for them but I feel no reason to force them on someone else and I certainly wouldnt build a primary school specifically for spreading my 'faith'.

I am not religious and I am not an Atheist, they're just false categorisations. We shouldnt try to place ourselves in a category, just believe what we believe and leave it at that.  :|

If I had to give you a label, I would say you're a spiritual person, and would leave the theos aside for further consideration.  After all, it's just a label.

However, it just occurred to me that you described it sort of in a confusing way, or maybe it's me- if we are subtle bodies which are having a physical experience as part of an evolution (which sounds perfectly reasonable to me, btw) then that would mean that the soul (or whatever you care to call it) preexists the physical- which begs the question- is it eternal? Is it subject to time at all, or does it evolve a body to exist in spacetime?  So you see how the question of God outside of the objective comes about...
