Hey, just some random poems I've written through the past year or so, not the best, but I guess writing is more for the author than the reader. Anyways, I hope you enjoy.
Poem 1
A final thought of innocence,
Like two children holding hands,
Never caught yet always coined,
A trick for corporate brands.
A desperate cry for happiness,
As if such a word was found,
A too common misconception,
Its a shout without a sound.
A shot at love is all he asks,
But his eye is weak in aim.
He sets his sights far too high
And finds only himself to blame.

Poem 2
When I was sick I couldn't sleep.
She said, "Maybe if you dreamed of me."
Now she's gone except in dreams.
And yet I still can't fall asleep.
Ive counted all these endless sheep.
Played Houdini in tangled sheets.
I pray to God my soul to keep.
But it feels like hell in all this heat

Poem 3
Maybe I'm addicted to that burning in my lungs,
Maybe I'm addicted cursed my mother's tongue.
Maybe I'm addicted to the happiness of life,
Or maybe I'm addicted to fleeing from the knife.
And better still, an addiction kills
I've seen many attest to that.
So maybe I'm addicted,
But I don't want to ever go back.

Poem 4
The sun shines through this day
But my mind follows the shade
An abyss of black, the coldest gaze
I see them through the fog
Eyes locked in an attempt to keep them safe
Hands running marathons down her body
Buried under the influence
Her nails claw for freedom into his back
Lustful lips lovelessly lingering,
Gently moving, softly speaking..
Whispering sweet nothings to each other

Poem 5
Day to night the words have shifted once again,
Into the dark, into the lonely.
The world lost in rivers and streams upon our cheeks.
Each drop a promise, only to be broken on the ground.
Our eyes, restlessly searching for a home
Until they meet and find each other
Let these tired eyes rest upon yours,
hear them gently whisper my intentions,
none as true, none so blue.

Poem 6
My heart falls with the sun
As the moon greets my eyes
The coldness of the stars
Reveals my disguise

And as the night passes
Your face fills my mind
A soothing sunshine
Like none of it's kind
The warmth of your heart
Melts the frost in my eye
The strength of your love
Delays my goodbye
