well orignally rap was sketchy because the people were mainly using rap to explain their frustrations however now it is basically all just booty shaken three word songs (and probably 2 of the 3 dont even exsist) who for some reason are in tire commercials now.

Immortal Technique rocks. I have some videos of him freestyling that are great.
I often hear people say "I don't like rap, but this is good..." There is a lot of good hip-hop out there with talented people and meaningful lyrics. It's just not on the radio, like most good music. Don't limit yourself to one genre - music is music.
