Hey Skippy, just to let you know, it's very hard to read yours with the background you have.

Is there any way I can change the colour/font of the writing to make it clearer? Ideally, I'd like to keep the backgound, because I like the picture - it's the Bee Gees (in 1970) with their parents and their younger brother Andy.

Hi Skippy

There must be a way, because if you look at my page, I've got the text on a white background, but still retain the image behind.  I've no idea how I did this  :-P

But if you look at the comment from Dalton (ganamoha from the Pulse) which is 4th up from the bottom (on my page), that's how I created mine.

I'm just looking at the editor bit and there is an option for "background colour".  This might be it.  If you change yours to white, perhaps it will put a white background on the text?

I'm not very clued up with stuff like this, but if you get stuck, shout again and hopefully someone else will know the answer!

Good luck

Sarah

P.S.  I'm now listening to the Bee Gees after looking at your page  :-D

Something you can try is put the image in an editor like photoshop and change the brightness/contrast. Because with a black and white picture, no matter what font color you choose, it'll clash -- if it's light, it'll be hard to read against the white parts, and if it's dark, it'll be hard to read against the black parts.
