I haven't read Robert Ludlum but I have been reading William Gibson for quite awhile now. He has a very interesting style which is pretty cool. He manages to convey a pretty dark dingy techno future whick most geeks would probably embrace! http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

Muzza- have you read "Burning Chrome"?  It's a collection of short storied by Gibson.  I haven't read any of his full length novels, just the aforementioned book.  I find his style refreshing and even a little challenging.

Ludlum, on the other hand is the author of such books as "The Bourne Identity".  He's not the greatest writer, but he will hook you.

Astralmaster- who is Stephanson and what does he write?

I myself am on a big fiction kick right now because I had been reading almost all non-fiction works for quite a while.

astralmaster: Neal Stephenson rox. I have Cryptonomicon, Diamond Age, and Snow Crash. He seems to have taken over where Gibson left off. Intelliegent, gritty, and deep.

For those who like Stephenson and Gibson, Tad William's "Otherland" series is one of the better neo-cyberpunk epics out there. It explores Gibson's VR Matrix conception even better then N.S. in Snow Crash.

a.k.

Hey PW,

Yeah I have Burning Chrome on my book case at home and it comes out quite often. All the stories in that are good. I haven't been reading much sci-fi lately...been into a spiritual book phase. Reading bits and pieces about meditation, Buddhism and things like that but I'm sure Burning Chrome will come out again soon now after this discussion! http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>
