Hello!

I wanted to get opinions on what people concentrate on:

1. What you concentrate on when trying to relax your body.

2. Any specific mantra's you use?

3. What technique(s) have you been most successful with?

The reason why I'm asking these is I have been away from AP for awhile and I'm trying to get back into it but for some reason either my mind set or my heart has not been in it or I keep thinking of some bad experiences I had with AP.  There have been a couple of times where I know I was out of body, but I felt as though something prevented me from speaking and from moving. :-(

Any advice on how I can reincorporate myself into this would be great!

Much Thanks!!

Jarrod

When meditating I count my breaths and try to think about nothing but the numbers.  1 - 100 and then repeat because if I go higher it takes longer to think the number than it does to take a breath. haha

Back when I required to relax my entire body, I'd do a progressive relaxation... you can probably find the method here on the Pulse somewhere, but it entails relaxing your head first (fully) then focusing on each body part and bringing that sense of relaxation into each of them.  Apart from that I don't really concentrate on anything... I prefer to keep me mind relatively quiet as I do this.

Nope, I don't use any.

Quote3. What technique(s) have you been most successful with?
I do a type of projection called Phasing... and an exercise to do it, called "Noticing".
You can find both here: http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/06/what-is-phasing-and-noticing/ and http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html

Those are some tough blocks you've got there.  But nothing you can't hurdle over with a bit of practice.
Let us know if you're still having troubles later.  :)
