hi there everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but have been interested in AP for a few months, when i was introduced to it by a friend.

i get sleep paralysis quite often, and there is always some sort of noise or movement around me when this occurs. i have been told that this could be entities of the astral or some other dimension. my problem is that, although i really want to project, i can't get over my fear of the paralysis. even when i attempt to AP i get extremely scared. does anyone else feel like this, and if so how did you get over your fear?

Yeah, just about everyone have been scared to AP sometime in their lives. But try not to think about the entities. It will only make your fear worse (which negs feed off of). Or if forgetting them doesnt work, try visualizing yourself being covered in brilliant golden light. Ask God to protect you or something. Just think about the fun and happiness that will await you once you pass the obstacle known as "FEAR".

Sleep paralysis is scary however I find AP is not.... I found that even though sometimes I was scared of AP the few times I was able to do so, I ended up being so happy and excited that I was just able to get out that I was too busy exploring to be worried about anything scary....

During sleep paralysis, hallucinations are quite common - and I think that's what you experienced (heck, I had some seriously freaky hallucinations at 4.00am this morning). Realising that they are just hallucinations often helps to tone them down a little.
I think there's a lot of misconception over negs. Most of the 'attacks' people experience can be attributed to hallucinations. Don't take for granted what other people say, always question them. For example, this morning, if I had believed that it was negs causing havoc in my room the hallucinations would have gotten MUCH worse.
Personally I don't think negs exist, and if they do, they are a very rare thing indeed, much rarer than people claim and probably can't do a thing to harm you anyway. If they could harm you during sleep paralysis, they could harm you while you're fully awake!

Because this is the Astral Conciousness area of the forums, I'm going to be a lot more forward than usual.

Negs don't exist. They're a creation of your mind. The reason anyone believes in them is they are a personification of your own fear of the unknown. They 'feed' off negative emotion because it's your own imagination that creates their existance.

Realise they're just like a tree against the window, or a loose floorboard. Sometimes when you open your mind to allow a broader perspective, you get more than what you expect.
