I always thought that what you've mentioned is possible.  I don't see why the writers original thought form of the character couldn't be cloned.  Also it seems as if you project fairly regularly and can manifest things well so I was wondering if you would be willing to try out something I thought up.  You see if someone can manifest an apple astrally and then manifest an astral object made to make astral objects become physical at a certain location (which should be possible if the vibrations of the apple are lowered enough) one could get a physical object made out of thought.  One could experiment on this, of course you shouldn't try any of your astral dates, but trying something like an apple in my example.  I think that it's possible that it will work but I think an experiment would be important because its possible but unlikely.  I mean giving it a try couldn't hurt right?

I think you bring up some good points, Janette.  I believe there is some validity to your theory that all these "beings" exist "somewhere" and that we don't "create" them....we're simply inspired to manifest them in our art, literature, media, etc.

Frankly, it freaks me out to think that somewhere, it some dimension, there is a "Jabba The Hut" entity crawling around.  [:D]

By the way, welcome to the forum!  Hope you stick around for awhile.

Jeez Jeff, are you trying to scare us!!!

I think creations like this are really common, i just read on another board that someone was trying to create their own astral pet griffon.

I myself am currently experimenting in making my own protector (it helps distract when i feel fear). Its basically a wolf spirit based off an indian carving that hangs next to my bed. Im hoping this spirit wolf will keep negs out of my room.

I would love to meet actual book characters, it will help me write good school essays! [:D]

Thanks for all the wonderful, feedback guys! If you have any theories you would like to share with me it would be my pleasure to lend you my expertise in the matter or just thought in general. And yes anything is possible i have created things over and over that cannot be denied or ignored, and I will continue to do so!

This reminds me of something I did when I lived alone in a small
cabin in the desert. I don't mind solitude and am perfectly at home
being alone. But there were periods when my imagination would get a
little loose about what might be out there in the darkness outside
my cabin. I know a lot of ghost stories, and sometimes there would
be a little nervousness.

I developed a little game. I created a monster. This was a black
demonic looking creature with long horns like a Texas longhorn, and
big yellow eyes. It stood up on its hind legs. Then I would walk to
the cabin door, ready to greet the imaginary monster who was
outside the door, and then open the door and say "hello monster,
how are you doing?" In the game, the monster and I were on friendly
terms.

Of course, there was no one there outside the door. The object of
the game was to form my silly nervousness into a form that I could
deal with. By first imagining some thing to be nervous about and
then going and seeing that there was nothing there, I could dismiss
things in my mind.

But I sometimes wondered afterwards, if I could be in some way
actually creating that entity.

Perhaps you have read of the Philip experiment. A group of table
sitters created a spirit entity who they named Philip, and the made
up a biography of him and gave him a distinctive character. After
they had his history and personality established, the would then
join hands and call for him as a spirit, to rap the table in answer
to questions. This actually worked, the table would rap and answer
correctly. This was later replicated by another group.

The question would be whether the entity that you call up needs to
already exist somewhere. I think you can create it. In retrievals as
discussed on afterlife-knowledge.com, where I hang out, involve the
creation of whole scenes, of great variety. For example, in a
recent post, a mule train of mules loaded with supplies was created
for the benefit of souls killed in the Bam, Iran earthquake.
Our lore includes the existence of an advanced entity who is called
a master creator, who can create elaborate thought forms mentally,
and cause them to become real as thought forms.

It sounds as if you might have some abilities like this.

I know schizophrenics who can create vast menageries from their
imagination, and there is at least some question of whether the
things they talk about are real or not.

Zecharia Sitchin created a tenth planet by writing about it. It
does not exist in physical reality, but it became a thought form
that was picked up by many people and became a delusion in the mind
of Nancy Lieder. Nothing she said about it was true in astronomical
reality. This is told in the post "New planet approaching" in this forum.
Zebrina picked it up, and met a "lady of the red planet", an
imaginary creature.

Know what? I really like the idea that when we create something with our imagination, we are bringing it into existance in another place. Like everything we think, hope, dream, remember, create is caught in the giant "astral net" to exist forever.

Re: astral lovers. I had one once - which was fine until I realised that yes, astral sex does count as infidelity to ones partner, and tried to get rid of him. Ever tried to dump someone in the astral? haha - not easy!

from my experience, NO.... your mind just makes random stuff up ...

but anyway what I'd like to touch upon is not so much that vampires ARE real and you're channelling a vampire dimension.. it's that you're just accessing the collective unconscious of mankind... everyone has heard of Dracula (almost) so you can summon the guy and you'll get what everyone's collective interpretation of him (including your own) is, and he will behave that way, more or less, however your expectations are ultimately in control since it's you dream.

(projection, whatever, you get what i'm saying)

but umm if astral people are real, the "loving" should be a lot more realistic than it is for me, but given my complete lack of experience with women I very rarely get realistic action, nor do the women look normal for very long... they often times turn into me.. actually.... probably becuase i'm a lot more familiar with my own body than I would be of women, despite pornography's influence upon me.

but umm yeah if there are real people out there i've yet to have any sensible conversations with them.. i think it's possible though but maybe i'm not developed enough.

as for trying to create something and manifest that in real life.. i tried it with a few hundred dollar bills with no success... and with an amp.

and the concept of an astral pet is a great idea, i made one once called Steve the bear... I recently resummoned him in one lucid dream for some reason, but he didn't look quite the same and his chain gun was missing....

I should try to summon him every night so my mind becomes familiar with him and he can perhaps grow stronger/smarter or something, or just automatically be with me at all times to protect me from nightmares, etc.

Very Interesting thoughts I might add, and I have taken them all into consideration but I do not ask for explanations because there can obviously be many of them. I've been doing this for some time now they are quite real, we interact in every way possible and of course I would be summoning from the vampire dimension I might add that I dabble there myselg *grins*

i've always thought it would be pretty cool to go to Hogwarts in the astral, hehe (yeah, i'm a harry potter dork[:P]) i mean, i have oftentimes had lucid (or atleast semi-lucid) dreams where i have a wand and i'm doing things with harry potter and all of them, it's really very fun... it would probably take a lot of concentration to actually create the astral Hogwarts, tho.... but it'd definitely be worth it![:D]

Chances are my friend that it already exists considering that millions have not only read the books but seen the movies.

Hehehehe..I have to admit that would be great!

Interesting..the things we find fasinating or just plan love, either from a movie or book..ect. we often "dream" about and have very realistic interaction with those characters.  I will not go into details to avoid complete and utter embarrassment, but I have had some great dreams with a few actors in my years..HEHEHEHE, and once the fancy of them was over...so were the dreams.

P.S. Janette..I use to love that show, Forever Knight...it didn't last too long though.  I totally went through a Vampire thing when I was younger, thanks to Anne Rice. [^]  I sooo wanted Lestat to come and take me away..[:P]

Nay. [;)]

Janette_DuCharme

Im glad someone else shares the same love nay! i never thought I would come across another FK fan its rare now a days but the ones who have stayed true, still flourish here and there. The sites are unbelievable, and still hopeful to revive the show, im looking at getting the first season on dvd which they FINALLY brought out after how many years. It's quite unique and the storylines and characters were great. Not to mention I live in the city of the Knight, Toronto! and yes, I to am a huge Anne rice fan she is my favorite author undoubtedly.  Lestat is my all time favorite vamp aside from Nicholas, Janette and LaCriox :)And harry potter is another of my favorites, I can see the excitement it must bring when you have vivid dreams and encounters with such characters, it spices up such mundane life doesn't it!

After letting the lover within myself search for an equal I found her in the astral. She wasn't human, rather she was like a giant cat/human hybrid. Strong, beautiful, passionate.

The astral is nice but I want more, I want to find her in this world, in this lifetime. I know I was seeing her inner form of who she really is on the inside. I have to be willing to be patient and realize that her human form could be different. she may be some short jewish girl or someone that is far different from my desire of a tall, athletic love goddess.

In regards to characters from tv and other entertainment. I once did an evocation using the pantheon from the Buffyverse. I summoned Willow who was very cordial and I learned a few things from her.

I agree Meg, whats more, the more people imagine it the more real it becomes.

I first thought about this after reading Lord of the Rings years ago.
The amount of detail poured into this world by Tolkien and then obsessivly memorised by all the fans must form a strong inprint in the astral somewhere. This can only have been reinforced by the advent of the movies recently.

If there is a fully formed Middle-earth out there then I want to go there!

btw Meg, hows the channeling going, I remember a few years ago you were experimenting with automatic writing and got some results. How are you getting on now?

Janette_DuCharme_
Never mind all that Buffy tosh, every true vampire fan knows that Anne Rice rules. While Buffy etc are good in their own right, even most Buffy fans I talk to recognise that Anne Rice is on a totally different level. Its like opera compared to tv show.
In fact, some serious vampire fans who mostly adore Rice, are quite annoyed with the Buffy show as it has 'mainstreamed' and 'dumbed down' vampires to an extent that Rice fans dont like.
Lets face it, the vampires on Buffy ARE crap!

Lestat cannot be beaten, hell I'm a guy and straight and even I fancy Lestat!

btw is it just me or is it only the first three books of the VC that are great and after 'Queen of the Damned' they start going downhill?

On the other point, I agree that we can summon all kinds of beings of our imagination but while you believe that they all exist already, I would say that we create them, as thought forms, and over time they can become sentient.
Someone mentioned the 'philip experiment' this experiment to create a 'thought form' worked and the concept of thought forms has long been known to  occultism, where magicians create thought form familars or even create 'ghosts' to guard locations, that soon gain a life of their own as locals begin to believe in them and fear them (which provides them with more energy). This is how many hauntings begin. There have been stories about how some thought forms have grown too powerful and rebelled against their masters, but I dont know if there is any truth in this.
Im sure there was a story about how Madame Blavatsky (founder of theosophical society) travelled to Tibet and met up with some shamans there who told her how to create a thought form. She created a spirit in the form of a monk, who actually became visable and took on solid form. however, although he was kind and helpful at first, over time he took on evil characteristics and became spiteful and dangeous. It took a lot of effort to dispell the thought form, although she managed eventially.

I have a book by occultist Basil Crouch that details how to create thought forms, the process requires a lot of people working together and actually mirrors the 'phillip experiment'.

nor do the women look normal for very long... they often times turn into me.. actually....

strange
I always used to and still do fantacise about this character who is like me but had talents and skills i could only dream of. Does this mean that this person, this version of me is a real thing in the astral, that it is wandering around doing things, it kinda creeps me out, but it would be intresting to summon it, what do i do, call its name?

Yes it could possibly exist elsewhere.  To summon or create it, whatever it maybe you just sort of will it to be there.  At least that's my understanding.

OverDriven

Of course these places and things exist because we think of them!  Thats the way everything psychic works.  Telekenesis...you think and believe strongly that an object is moving, and sure enough it does exactly what you want it to.  Enery manipulation...you imagine a ball of energy between your hands.  If you have a strong enough mind, you can even make it emit light.  IMHO, everything that is not physical is made of pure thought.  With enough thought power, some of these things can even be manifested in the physical.  I like to call the Astral the "Thought Dimension".  Everything there is just thoughtform...whether its your own or someone else's.  Why do you think its so easy to manifest anyhthing you want there?  The spirit is thought, and so the spirit dimension is composed of thought as well IMHO.

Janette
how can you say the vamps and Buffy are crappy?..
...OH WAIT, They ARE! LOL!
I also enjoyed FK, I felt that if tehy would've gotten some better directors and writers the show would've lasted longer.
The French Fry seen had me thinking, "WOW! They CAN act", twas sadly short lived. Wish they'd do a remake.

I loved Queen of teh Damned. Ever read Lost Souls by Poppy Brite?

Xander

Janette_DuCharme

Yeah, buffy vamps are crappy lol but I'll admit i watched the show in it's entirety for 7 years, call it a habit but the characters were addicting, sort of like a soap opera lol.And spike although a crappy vamp from buffy he was one of my fav characters you gotta love the cheeky lil bastard. And yeah FK was way to short lived although they did have alot of good plot lines, just not enough budgeting I think. But who knows what could happen in the span of a few years I'm still hopeful, hey I could replace Janette were like identical twins , she could be my mom or sister or somethign haha! And yes Queen of the damned the novel was one of my favorites and I'd have to say that the movie did not do it justice I found myself screaming out Marius did not make lestat in the theatre lol call me an avid fan but movies are never as good! Although if you don't compare it to the book it was an amazing vampire movie and well stuart townsend who played lestat was my kind of man *grins* lol

Gandalf -

Stuff has been pretty quiet for me the last year or so, astrally speaking... I went back to uni to build on my interesting but impractical bachelor of arts with a teaching qualification and its pretty much absorbed me for the last year.

Mostly this year my projecting has been just a bit of flying over the fields near my house and trying to visit my brother and my step-kids who live far away (with partial success ie. getting to their dark bedrooms and fumbling around in confusion for a few minutes) There's been a few fear manifestations of scary entities but I did have one really good guide experience too.

But its nice to have time to be checking out the forums again and getting reinspired.

I'm curious if anyone else has had an astral lover come to them, instead of actively seeking one out first.  Long before I knew what astral projection was, I started having dreams about a man I had never met.  He's told me in dreams that he was real, not just my imagination, and once he showed me a picture of me as a child, with him sitting behind me (he was about a year older than me in the picture) and he said, "See?  I was with you even then."  He still appears in my dreams to this day, and those first dreams started around 6th grade.  I'm 23 now.

I've only fully consciously projected once, and the experience was very short so I didn't get a chance to go see him.  However, I projected into the astral from two dreams and found myself with him, where we were floating in a dark void and I was actually able to touch his skin and REALLY feel it.

I really want to project again just so I can be closer to him and share more experiences with him at a deeper than dream level.
