Okay there really isn't any division like that. Magick is magick. It depends on what you decide to do and who you decide to conjure.
Probably the best and most effective piece on magick was done by Lyn Bucnanan. It's on you tube under remote influencing. He has a little flashy thing that makes you think he's going to curse you if you do soemthing bad with what he teaches. I wouldn't worry about that. It has an intimidating effect on people who have paranoia and are otherwise too mentally imbalanced to be playing on that playground.

In order to do magick you need to be a proficient psychic. Other wise your firing your cannon in the dark. You may hit, you may miss and it probably won't turn out like you want it to. 

After you learn and have decent proficiency as a psychic then you can start to work on projecting influencing ideas out there.
So the order of working is Scrying/remote viewing/ mediumship skills/ psychometry and related skills..... spirit contact and communication... then projection skills.
