I've a question about past life recognition...

I've come to associate the inexplicable sensation that I've met the other person before with a possible past life association.
Like Lighthouse and Tayesin said it's an intuitive feeling, a hunch if you will.

I don't have any conscious memories of an actual past life but I've met some people for the first time that I've met for the second time if that makes sense.

What about birth marks and such?  I'd read years ago in a Sylvia Brown book about birth marks indicating something that happened in a past-life, she also mentioned for example, if someone has chronic back pain now it could mean they are holding on to the cell image of a past life.  Like getting stabbed, shot or stepped on by a elephant...[] and once they accepted this, the pain vanished.[^]

OK, I don't ever recall having a memory for a past life, but I would guess that one person would know they're having a past life memory because it would seem like a normal memory.

That's not what I'm questioning.

How do people know that some of the peopel they know now are some of the people they knew in a past life?

Do they look the same or something?
