soooo didnt really know where to post this but here it goes...

My dad bought this "thing" from "somewhere" and gave it to my mom who had hemorrhage issues when she wore it.So she stopped wearing it but we recently found it...
So i wonder what is it,and what is it used for.As far as i got is St.Quentin floor pattern....
Anybody has one of these? Are they really harmfull as they were with my mother(or the hemorrhages were coincidental)

Thanks!

It's a labyrinth, and it's a device used for meditation.
What you do is trace it on the floor (w. chalk or some other thing) and then walk it.  Walking in symbolizes the spiritual principles of the tribal or group dynamic as it evolves and knowledge becomes interior, and when you get to the center you're 'there' in the center of the univesrse, where wisdom is, and they you walk out slowly, which symbolizes bringing back to the cosmos that which you learned when you were in the center.

In your case, it may just be a decoration of a labyrinth and you're supposed to mentally meditate the path, instead of walking it.

If it did cause your mother harm, it may have been charged  as a talisman by someone, but the symbol itself is what I said.

Yes, like with chalk, or outside, where you can make it big enough for walking.

If you don't have the resources to walk it, then follow the lines with your finger or your eyes very slowly and meditatively.
The ancients used to do this (they made both mazes and labirynths for this purpose) and later on Christians adapted this and put them in some churches or  cathedrals for the same purpose.

Here's a few links to church labirynths you may like- even though most of them are to be walked on, some of them are in the walls (in the last link) and were traced with fingers.
