Hi, i think that the white Light thing, even if one is self
fooled into thinking it is real, helps, though with the feeling
of Love added, that would make the difference, when one is alone
and stressed it is often hard to feel that emotion, this is where
friends can be of great assistance, and i mean true friends that
have geniune compassion and a wish for your wellbeing, No one should
have to go through the tortures You have described alone,I`m sure we all know what it like to have a careing sensitive friend, then there
is no aloneness unless is is wished.
One often only has to ask for that,You`d be surprised how many people
really care, even someone that will juts listen. You can see that quality in people that care for plants
and or animals, it`s there, what better way to show ones Love than to be there for a friend.
wishing all much Love `n Light

It is quite possible to go into trance while staring at a light source. Even the base of a candleflame will do the job.

I do not and have not followed any religion for a very long time, but this is my explanation of the afterlife. If you  believe strongly enough that you will go to a christian hell then that is what you will create for yourself, and the same is true about heaven. Some spirits create something they were comfortable with in the physical world,so they create a house they had when they were in a physical body. How do I know this you might wonder. I gained this knowledge from communicating with true angelic beings and true guides.
Of course before I do anything I do a short protection ritual, which involves the use of protection symbols. I also burn
protection herbs twice a day,and pull the smoke over myself for purification. Plus I put protection around this house.

The best thing to do when something approaches you and says this thing or that thing is to place a symbol of protection between you and it. The symbol can be visualized or traced in the air.
If it's a good spirit,the symbol shouldn't bother it.
If you can't see it then place the symbol between you and the sound of its voice.

This light on your ceiling sounded like some type of trickster spirit to me.

I too have sympathy for this model. Another extension to this is that sufficient humans have to belief in the afterlife (insert version) idea for it to continue to exist and be energised. Another thought is that due to the waning of religious belief in some cultures alternative beliefs need to be introduced a la ETs.

Can someone explain to me what they feel when they go into an altered state. People talk about meditation. From what I hearing I can do it without the full relaxation. Many times My awaressness is with only my eyes. But not really there. I can go into a gaze and experience nothingness. No feelings no thoughts but yet something is there. Something wanting to tells me something but yet not being able to. I have also been able to do this when taking tests. I could project my notes in this state and then see the information I needed. this is something that has been normal for me and I never looked at it as an altered state. My mom knows when my attacker pulls my attention to him. She thinks my mind just drifts off and that I lack attention.

There is something else I thought of. It would be interesting to test. Our voices are distinquishable by tones, vibrations, waves. This is physical hearing but I know my attacker's voice it's the same as his physical voice. If there is a device to measure the wave lengths of voices and you can distinquish two voices from another I won't if there is a device that can distinquish voices through telepathy.
I think telepathy can be scientifically proving and attacks the same way. I would think that two brain waves would show up in a person's minds.
Think of it like a multipersonality. An aggressive person should show a different pattern then a passive person. You would then have two different wave length. You could also measure wave length's of telepathy. I had a website for the frequency or wave length it was. You should be able to measure by the means of radio or microwaves there is another wave. I no longer have the website although it might be in my notes somewhere. I know it's detectable. Alice Bailey talks about the three ways of telepathy. I will have to look up the information.

I don't feel anything when I go into an altered state. One minute I'm here and the next I'm in an altered state. That's for most altered states anyhow.
Sometimes I will close my eyes and peer into the blackness. When I do this I am still aware of my physical body, and I also have more control over when and if I need to pull myself out. I mostly see various spirits when I do this, and I find that I can react more quickly to an attack. Don't do this technique unless you can protect yourself very well. Once I saw a pair of arms reaching toward me from the blackness. I pulled myself out right away. I don't know if it was a negative, but I really dislike unknown things reaching toward me.

Crim,

From what I've gathered from reading posts about meditation on this site for the last year and a few bits, is that meditational states and trance states are different from person to person, based on their psyche, how their thought processes work, that kind of stuff. Some people can drop into a trance pretty quickly and easily. I've only ever had what I'd class as a full-on, detached from the world trance a couple of times in my life. My mind tends to be very cluttered, so it takes time to get it quiet.

Generally the same cind of conditions seem to apply to each person - a feeling of disconnection from your surroundings, the feeling of turning inwards, and the passage of time becoming meaningless. What happens after that point I feel is up to the individual.

Dark Knight,
That's a really sad story![:(]
I can't even begin to imagine how that must have felt.
Please forgive my purely analytical thoughts here regarding your eysight, but I simply don't know what else to say. If you were that ill, if your blood pressure dropped significantly, you could have had a lack of blood supply to the eyes. Being that the capilliaries in the eyes are so fine, its not at all unusual for people under these conditions to start losing their sight. I've an old aquaintance that was legally blind as a result of an erratic blood suply to the eye. When the supply dried up, he would loose his sight from the outside first, then it would black out to a small spot of light closest to the centre.

I have a thought, just a suspicion, that when people do die their eysight will fade due to the lack of blood supply, and contract to that small point of light just before their "astral" sight takes over and they start feeling like they're then in a tunnel moving up to that point of light. A friend of my wife's family has been clinically dead 3 times, before being revived. He describes that classic "moving towards the light" scenario each time. Thing is he also felt something stopping him moving further, and heard a voice telling him "it's not time yet".

Kind regards,
James.

Might I say something?

I did not say to stair at a light, such as a light bulb.
I said in a totally dark room you should see a white light and do what I said from there.

As I said before do it or not it is all up to you. You won't hurt anyone but yourself.

shaman

Hello Dark Knight,

I really do hope that you feel better these days!

As to the light you saw it could be of course as the answer of the eye specialist wrote. I have experienced that "blindness" effect while staring at myself in the mirror without blinking. I know that when one does not blink and does not move her/his eyes the picture dissapears and I knew it is biological.

Now, if it is not that eye effect, it could still be a physical effect. I must confess that if I do not sleep for 2 weeks I might end up in the hospital... sleep depravation can be devastating and I might even see things that do not exist. I know some person who had to be hospitalized because of sleeplessness. So it can surely cause you to see things and hear things that are not there. The problem is actually the depravation of dreams. That is, without dreaming for 2 weeks one can actually cause irreversible damage to the brain and to the mental health (thanks God that did not happen to you). During sleep, and especially during dreams, the brain is getting rid of its toxic chemical that it is producing while awake. If the level of these toxic chemical is too high, some research has shown that people can really "lose their mind". In short, not sleeping at all for more than 2 weeks can irreversibly send people to the hospital. So, all that to tell you, that if you did not sleep for that time, and did not get irreversibly mentally affected, still you could see things that are not there. My main guess would be that if you don't sleep you might have been in a half-sleep state (hypnagonic state) where you would hear and see things like in the dream world, but while you are awake.

And third and last (sorry for being so long), you might have seen the Light that NDE people sometime see. Then they usually after a little while actually "go" to the Light and have a feeling of Peace (often also Love) engulfing them. They clearly see that they are leaving their body, their room and the whole world to get to a place where the Light now looks like a being of Light, and that's when they are told "it is not your time to die" and they get back to their room, body to tell us their story. But, unlike you, they see that experience as wonderful, and not as terrifying. These poeple who had NDE are not afraid to die anymore, they just see it as a transition, and even as "getting back home" to the place where they feel they belong and they are "loved".

Again, sorry for being so long.
I would just summarize that either you were in the hypnagonic state (awake but with some dreaming) or you might have been inching toward and NDE (or just your guardian angel was warning you).

Let me suggest you to have a look at the follwing NDE site:

http://www.iands.org/

look for public disccusions boad and there look for NDE narratives.

No entity can push you out of your body, you are the sole owner of it, by God! The power of your will (and of everyone's) is much more powerfull than any "small black cloud like entity" in the astral (if there is any such).

You will see from the NDE site, that when you die, there is always a "loving" guadian angel to take care of you and that you are actually never, NEVER, alone. You do have guardian angel always with you at all time (and everyone does). ANd this light being takes you to a higher place.

I wish you all the best and do not hesitate to post or even to leave a message (by clicking on the name of the member) if you feel so.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with this. I have  not dreamed for over a year. My attacker tried to place images in my mind to influence me thinking I had a dream and it was telling me something. He then decided to go though  the dream with me. I told him not to bother because I wouldn't believe it. He then stop forcing the issue of the dream. Your dreams can also be influenced through attacks. I have proof of at least three people that have been attacked through their dreams. It's a proven fact that your mind is still active when you sleep. What exactly is going on is left to be unsaid. There are several things that could be happening at the time which is left to be proven or told.
If you listen to what one tells you about your dream you are living their perspective of it. I'm being told what my dreams are means. There are books on dreams and what their meaning is. You can't go by this. You may use it for a guideline but your dream has meaning to you.
There are several types of dreams, you can find your fears in dreams. You can find you are being attacked in dreams. You will find you consciousness has traveled in dreams. You can find answers in dreams.
Lack of sleep can also put you into an altered state where you will also see visions. But lack of sleep is also a way to train the mind to an altered state.
Repetition of any activity will let you go into an altered state.  An altered state is where your mind is focused at the time. You maybe focused on a physical event with no thoughts occurring. This would be one state. Your mind would still be stimulated do to the activity of your brain sending out signals for your body to move. Another state would be thinking when you are in activity. Here you would be using two parts of your mind giving you another state of awareness or two states of awareness.  There is also the awareness of your physical body.  There are 7 main charkas each with a separate consciousness, I would also assume that you could possible have 7 different states of consciousness.  Science has only been able to detect four different brain waves. They just found that the brain emits gamma rays. Just because science hasn't proved atleast to the public doesn't mean something else doesn't exist it just hasn't been proven to the point that people believe it.

Dark Knight

I could join you on that one Crim.

I haven't had a dream in 5 years.

shaman

Dear Dark Knight, Crim and everyone actually,

Everyone dreams each night (if you sleep) and so when you, Dark Knight, write you had no dreams in years, it only means that you do not remember your dreams, but you DO dream everynight, and more than once each night, at least once every sleep cycle. A sleep cycle lasts for more than an hour (say about 100 min), so that within a night you can dream 5 times, and each time can be pretty long with many stories, etc...

There is not such a thing as "I haven't had a dream" for years, or even for last night... As the night pass you have more chance to remember your dreams. If you wake up early in the morning and sleep much less than 8 hours, then the chance are that you will not remember any dream. After you have slept 6-7 hour in a night, if you continue to sleep (say and reach 8h at least of sleep) then you will start remembering the dream you had in your last sleep (just before waking up). If you do not remember your dream, it does not mean you are not dreaming, but only that maybe you do not sleep enough or that  the "barrier" between your conscious and unconscious part of your mind is very strong.

There are some very good books about that by very good psychologists, the one you will like is the one from Young ( a disciple of Freud) who is even depicting some of the things we are writing here (collective unconscious, etc..).

I wish you sweet dreams and :

If you want to remember your dreams you need to sleep 8 hours and not to wake up with an alarm clock. You need to wake up all by yourself and make the effort not to get up and stay still in bed and try to remember. Also before going to sleep repeat to yourself you want to remember your dreams. Get a notebook and write in it the date every time you go to sleep and write in it that you want to remember your dreams (autosuggestion). And if you have any memory of a dream write it down. It takes about 2 weeks for autosuggestion to start working.

Dark Knight

I'd like several opinions on this.

The quote below was made by joe225612

quote:
The easiest way to get rid of psycic vampires at night is to lie in bed and look into the blackness of the room. Stair at one place on the ceiling till you can't see anything else. After a while you will only see that spot. After this you will beguin to see a white light. Try your best not to blink till the room is completely covered by this light. It will destroy all the evil in the room and you can keep the psychic vampires at bay. If you feel as though a vampire has you then immediately when you see the white light, streach it to look like a net. You will trap the vampire. After this imagine a blue energy going to clear and then green then absorb it. You will drain the psychic vampire at his/her own game.

The quote was made in Metal Ices thread about Psy Vamps.

James S replied with this:

quote:
What you're describing is part of the natural physiology of the eye, an effect thats known as Troxler fading.

Troxler fading is where peripheral vision fades untill all you can see is a point in the centre of your vision, which relates to the centre of the retina called the macula, where your vision is at its strongest. The retina of the eye has photoreceptors that use a light sensitive chemical called rhodopsin, which only works for a limited time and quickly bleaches. the bleaching of rhodopsin is also what causes afterimages. When you blink or move your eyes, even that short period of changed light levels is enough to allow the rhodopsin to regenerate. If you stare at the same thing for a long time, the rhodopsin isn't allowed to regenerate and so your vision fades from the peripheral areas inwards, as the photoreceptors in the peripheral areas of your vision are the most sensitive to light and react quicker.

This is a natural part of the eyes behaviour and as such that little spec of light is really all that is remaining of your normal vision until you blink again.

As much as Troxler effect has nothing to do with anything psychic, lying in such a state which could become trance-like is probably a good indication that you are allowing your mind to become both detached from the physical world around you and focused on the non-physical world.

Regards,
James.

I really need help dealing with this and I need a few more answers, that's why I started a new thread.

Some of you that read my original story know that a few days after I was "killed off" back in April 1998 I was very sick, vomitting everything I took in, and eventually reached a state where I was lying on my couch in my living room, too weak to move. The phone rang and I couldn't get up to reach it...I forgot about the answering machine. Next thing I knew I heard the voice of a friend of mine come on the answering machine, she was calling to see how I was doing. I started crying because I couldn't get up to reach the phone to ask for help, thought I would be dead by morning and really believed I was hearing the voice of my friend for the last time.

During my data download last Feb/Mar, I was kept awake 24/7 for 2 weeks. Drank four water glasses of Cream Sherry Wine and not only did not go to sleep, I never got drunk or had a hangover (I should have been wasted after the first few sips). At one point, I was once again, alone and isolated and too weak to move, lying in bed, unable to call or talk to my family. I saw the little light appear on the ceiling and I was told that I was dying and would be dead soon. My sight was becoming like an aperture on a camera...closing in from the inside out till all you can see is the center. I really thought I was in the same boat, dying alone, was getting ready to move through the tunnel of light to take me to heaven or hell (I wasn't even sure I would go to heaven...I thought I would die and be ripped apart by these things with no one bothering to even lift a finger to help).

The feeling of dying alone,  with no comfort, with no one knowing what happened to you, why it happened, or who is responsible...is one of the ugliest, helpless, frightening things that could ever befall another human being. I would not wish it on anyone.

If anyone else can shed a little more light on this topic, I would appreciate (yes I'm willing to hear the worst, that entities probably were trying to push me out of my body so they could use it for themselves).

I need answers and I need support because this is just awful.
