Opening Song for Yusuke anime
available to rent in English in a video store near you
gee ain't it great to have kids
so we have an excuse to enjoy cartoons again
vicariously through them

"Hohoemi no Bakudan" (Smile Bomb) by Matsuko Mawatari
"Running in a crowd in a faceless town,

I need to feel the touch of a friend.
In the country side
I wander far and wide,
The isolation
gets me again.
I don't know where to go,
When I feel like crying
oh my,
It's time to open myself
to something new,
I want to
STOP
and grow up a bit.
Then suddenly
my power and confidence
starts swelling up
magically erupt,
And it's all because
of kindness that I feel,
From people
I don't even know.
Then suddenly
my intuition
and my wisdom grow,
And then I know,
That most of all I sense
compassions wield
into strangers
wherever I go,
Thank you for waking me up."

Ending Theme Song :
"Homework ga Owaranai" (Neverending Homework) by Matsuko Mawatari

"The pointed second hand
counts down the life I lead,
Marking off my legacy
of worldly deeds,
Tick
Tock,
Tick
Constantly I think of things
I can't complete,
Well it's time to throw them into the
back seat
... Son of a Gun!
Life's a fleeting dream
don't let it go
... Ya gotta make the most of it
you know.
Don't stop now,
don't let it slip away,
oh no
Live it up while you can
and don't delay,
oh no
For the fleeting dreams
they never stay..."

Sweet! You like anime too, I wouldn't have guessed, I like you more now. I still have yet to see Yu Yu Hakasho but my friends say good things about it. I saw a pic of the main character and his blue energy blade (at least I think it was the main character) and man he looked cool, he'd be fun to cosplay. Have you cosplayed?

LordoftheBunnies

If you guys like Yu Yu Hakusho, you should also check out the Bleach manga.  The series is similar, in it the main character becomes a soul reaper who saves lost souls and fights the ones who turn into demons.  The manga can be downloaded online.

Tyciol: The main character is Yusuke, he uses a "Spirit Gun."  Kuwabara uses the sword, he's a main character, but not the main one.  I haven't cosplayed.

Bleach is cool, but I don't understand their choice of opening and ending music.

Cedar

Bleach is a great manga.  And you don't really have to use your kids as an excuse to watch anime.
Life doesn't end at 40.
