What is Astral Projection?

Historically, the terms Astral Projection and OBE refer to exactly the same thing.

Nowadays, the term astral projection is sometimes solely used to refer to the notion of projecting to ``nonphysical`` astral realms, whereas the term OBE may refer either to a projection into these other realms or to the classic experience of finding yourself in ``a second body`` in what appears to be normal physical reality, but is called the "real time zone".

In practice, however, these terms are still used interchangeably.
