Chatrooms

I was wondering if the astralpulse hosted any chatrooms? It would be nice so we can talk directly to eachother.

Oh definitely. Chatrooms can produce conversations that forums can only have after maybe 2 weeks worth of talking back and forth.

I'm not saying that the forums aren't great, but I'd like to talk with people who are also intersted in this field. I just think it'd be nice to have a forums to ask the huge questions and then have a chatroom to talk with your friends about whatever you want.

You may want to ask Adrian to install something like the X7 chat system http://www.x7chat.com it's free and integrates directly into the phpBB user database so usernames and passwords are the same in the chat as the forum. It's really quite nice and easy to install ... I have it installed on a couple of mine

If you really want to chat why not sign up for a free system like http://www.sigmachat.com then just set a time and let people know. If you pick an interesting topic and a good time you can get lots of people chatting.

You might even start a shoutcast and run the chat simultaneously so people can comment live

I think if this site had a chat room it would make it that much better. I would probably gain more activity also. So I feel that this site should have a chat room.

Interesting. I didn't know that, I guess there wasn't as many people as there as today. Maybe it will work this time around...who knows?

I was thinking about chat rooms and there is this chat room on another site that is listed below. What we could do is sign into that room then type /join #TheAstralPulse. Then we would have our own chat room to discuss things. I hope that this would work.

I hope Adrian doesn't mind I just borrowed his logo and added a simple java chat system (Sigma Chat).

Try it out and if you can handle java try setting up a chat time and topic. If it becomes popular perhaps Adrian would consider adding a nice interconnected chat lik the X7.
