Avatar Help, Please!!??

For avatars you can't use web urls.  What you need to do is save that picture onto your harddrive and then in your profile click the add avatar link and then a new window will pop up where you need to click the browse button and find the file on your computer.  I am hoping you can figure out what to do after you find the file.  But the image MUST not be on on your computer. To add it as an avatar.  As I recall it even says in the avatar upload screen that web urls can't be used.

Just for future reference, a topic like this would go better in our Forum Bugs section rather than obe discussions. I went ahead and moved it there for you.

Also, there was a topic called "Free Avatar Website" in the Astral Chat forum a while back. In that topic I posted a website that has avatars very close to the optimum 64 x 64 pixels required here at the Astral Pulse. I also detailed the proper way to "upload" an avatar.

You can find that topic by using our search engine. Type in the name: 'Free Avatar Website' and a search should bring it up. If not, pm me and I'll find it for you if you want.

How do you properly upload an avatar on this site?  I can do one for my quote section but not anywhere else...and it is getting mighty frustrating.  I sent a question into the staff and haven't gotten a reply, maybey I can get some help here.

I tried uploading the following image into the box in my profile that says, "Picture URL"  but no luck...

I loaded this image into my quote section and 'voila'! It works.  But... it doesn't work if I repeat the process in the picture URL box, what gives?



Help, anyone help me, please???
