Bruce's book, Astral Dynamics, is a an excellent example of an inspired, independent, courageous and open spirit who also retained balance and grounding. He pointed out that one could excounter negative experiences in the "non-physical", but pointed out that "demons" and other such "entities" were reflections of ones own beliefs and perspectives, not essences in themselves. He was careful not to spend much time on them since he was well aware that to do so to any great extent would only serve to attract "psychic" experiences of that nature. He was not out pandering to those looking for a new chapter from the Tales from the Crypt. He was also very approachable. Yet, in visiting this site after some long time, I was taken back. It was now as slick and up-to-date as one finds, extremely well organized, and designed to get the vistor to a very detailed membership screening process. Surprisingly, with no e-mail access to Bruce except through the forum which requries going through the membership process. And, the site features strong and new emphasis on the need for protection from the "non-physical." It seems in such stark contrast to the Bruce in the book, that I wondered if the Department of Defense concluded that he was just too good to be left out there on his own. As you probably know, the DOD spends significant amounts of time and money looking at the paranormal and its potential for practical application. So, I wonder if this site is now operated by them with or without Bruce's cooperation. Paranoid? Perhaps, ...
