Avatar problem

The new avatar I have should have a transparent background, but in internet explorer its showing a blue background. At first I thought it was a problem with the image, but on every other site I've used it, it appears transparent in the same browser, one of the sites even uses the same forum software. I'm not sure why this would happen here?

Oh...but I'm not using internet explorer... 

It seems to be a weird IE error? I tested it in firefox and it looked fine .
