Unread posts?

The reason for this is that new posts are detected by cookies and not just the user who posted it. So when you next access the site. it will compare cookies and decide which posts have been seen and which have not.

So when I'm reading the posts from four separate computers and routinely removing cookies from three of them, there is a good chance of missing new posts or re-reading old posts? It sounds like the thing to do is to stop deleting cookies, but that is not much of an option. I understand about the amount of data involved for so many users and guests. It really would be a lot to have to store in one place and keep updated.
