For some reason I am unable to upload avatar pictures or attach images to posts. Any ideas?

Make sure the size is correct. You can also use Photobucket to upload and then put them on here. I use that one, it's very easy.

I actually don't believe the "upload" works... has anyone here uploaded their avatar in that manner?
The easiest way to use an avatar of your choosing is to do what Nay suggested, and upload it to a picture site or your own personal webspace and just link directly to it.
