Question about the any evidence thread.

I see the opposite happen every now and then. It will show that someone has posted, but when I go to look at the post it does not exist.

You need to check when and if the message was edited.  When an earlier message is edited after the last post the edited message appears as the latest post in the various links that lead to the newest post.  If you don't understand what I am saying let me know and I will try to clarify.

For example, if one of you were to edit your post after reading this and then follow a link leading to the newest post in this thread it would direct you to your post not mine even though mine is lower on the page.  It is more noticeable on pages that you have to scroll on because you are initially displayed a message somewhere in the middle of the page and not the bottom or top like normal.

Links, I know about that. That is usually the case, but there have been a few times when I could not find any edits. I don't see it often though. And I rarely see Mustardseed's problem, but I may just not notice it.

I saw this happen once when I deleted a post of mine after finding the person to Pm. basically, somone posts, and then immidiately after deletes it. (it's the recycling can icon)

In the thread "any evidence.......", I read that I have been the last to post, and that did so on the 17th. When I open the thread I see that I posted as the second to last on the 16th and Beth actually posted the last post on the 17th.

Why is that.
