And I am *POSITIVE* I clicked that when I signed up, just as Im positive I changed the email to hidden 2 days ago and 5 minutes ago again, and yet my email is still exposed to the public, FORUM BUG.

did you check while you were logged out or logged in, just asking because if you're logged in it'll still show your email to you only.

Yup, mine is still showing as hidden.
If you're logged in and viewing your own profile, it'll still show you your email address... but it'll be in italics, meaning that it's hidden. 

The system looks to be working just fine.

There were some updates done not that long ago (could it be a year now?) and I think some things ended up different- it's possible that it's what happened.
