The current structure of that sentence is making it difficult for me to put together its meaning.

Alright, these seems like the most appropriate section of the forum to ask my current questions, so here goes.

Over in the "Prophecy and Divination" forum, a thread by Oazaki was deleted.  I'm cool with that and I understand it and that is not what my question is about although it is related as you will see...

So, a new thread was created by another member called something like "2004 - 2005 Predictions"  That thread was running smoothly and everything seemed A O K.  Everyone was being polite and considerate and I was having a nice convo with Quiet Storm and learning from his current experience.  So, today, I log on and that thread is deleted.  Apparently there was one poster that got abusive and to handle that, the entire thread was deleted.  Wouldn't the appropriate action to have been delete the abusive post and let the other posters continue their discussion?  It seems highly irregular that to deal with one member you punish everyone who was conversing on the thread.  

If I am wrong, the users of this forum would like to know your reasoning.  I just don't see how we the users can be expected to keep a thread from not being deleted if we have to be responsible for any random person that might come along and post an abusive reply.
