Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Strange coincidence

Thanks guys for your input. It might be that all this was just a dream with false awakening and as you say "malfunctioning electronics" indicates it. But there is one more thing I forgot to mention, I went to the toilet before going back to bed and my mom said in the morning that she heard me.

All these reminds me of Holographic Universe book by Michael Talbot where he refers to something he calls "synchronicity" among many other different things he writes about. There seem to be some kind of invisible connection, where our brain is a kind of antenna.

Anyway, I am still trying to "phase out" each night but although I remember quite clearly between 2-3 dreams / night I cannot seem to make it happen for the reason unknown. 2 years back it was a piece of cake when I first tried it, for the first week I tried it it nearly always happened I could try, I didn't do it but at least I had a chance.

cheers guys

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Strange coincidence

For last few days I have been trying to do OBE, with the method I found on http://research.obe4u.com/.

Last night, I set my alarm clock for 6 am and shuffled deck of cards, pick one without looking at it and placed it face up on the windowsill. I also turned my mobile phone off (powered down), I do it every night.

About 10 min after 3 am I woke up and noticed that my mobile phone was on and the screen was all white nothing on it, it was frozen so I couldn't turn it off the normal way I had to pull the battery off. I went back to bed and slept till morning, didn't get any chance for OBE... In the morning I checked the card and it was 3 of diamond.

Strange that the card was 3, I woke up about 3 and the phone turned itself on about that time. I remember from emily rose film that the 3 is the number when evil mocks the good.

Right I get it, what do you belief personally, are all your projections in your opinion just personal thing or you regard them as a lets say "common play ground"?

Thanks Szaxx for clarification, I am going to keep on trying until I all the corners in my peg are round :)

What about the planes themselves can you actually meet with someone there for real or are they just personal spaces? Lionheart do I get it right that you have been sort of in someone else's dream to help him?

I have read your Astral Blueprint and I have to say it's very good and explains a lot but after reading it I am a little bit scared or maybe worried if I should proceed further with my quest of NPR. You are saying that some of the people have actually experienced a "hell dimension", Robert Bruce wrote similar thing in the email you receive when signing up for his free astral dynamics book. I quote

"I can now get out of body and astral travel almost
instantly. I've explored the upper astral heavens, met
angels and ascended masters, and I've been to the lower
devilish realms, and encountered demons."

I have a question to not only you szaxx but everyone who is doing NPR. According to what I read so far on this subject, It seems like it is am accepted believe that this non physical planes of existence are not just each individuals imagination but a common place where thoughts, feelings projections are being transferred during sleep, NDE and death. Kind of a centralized database where everything is being continuously stored from the beginning of time (if such exists). Do you believe this theory? Because if you do this means that heaven and hell exist quite literally and after death we will be in one of this planes.

I had a personal experience of my thought been transferred to someone I know during sleep, which has made me profoundly worried because I realized that there is much more in life I previously thought. I am a bit torn now, what to do If I open this "Pandora box" I might not like what I find inside and it may be to late to go back then because once you know something it changes everything and nothing looks the same anymore (as they say ignorance is bliss) from the other hand I can't stop thinking about it.

What are your thought about it all guys?

It is quite helpful Bedeekin, this is exactly how I feel falling into the "other side" kind of like dropping down suddenly. Reminds me the scene from the movie trainspotting, when the main character is laying on the red stretcher after taking some drugs and he sinks into it.

As you say when trying to do it when not to tired mind is just jumping through different thoughts and keeping it clear is very exhausting and leads to frustration, with me is that when I realize that I already have been laying like so for an hour lets say I just think, oh well it is time to let it go and sleep so then right after I release my mind I fall asleep quickly (unfortunately unconsciously) so I think I still need to find this balance where I feel the moment of falling asleep so far I only once felt it and it was natural I wasn't looking for it. Good I at least know how it feels so I know what to look for.

Thanks Szaxx, I will read it. (I couldn't reply PM as it is disabled)

p.s. Funny thing this night, I had couple of dreams and I remember them quite vividly. In one of them I was in a school where there on the notice board was an invitation to the Astral Projection classes (How did I not realize it is a dream...) anyway I got interested and some girl said her friend was taking this classes and called her so I could speak with her, she answered while being in a TRANCE, Damn! again  I didn't realize I am dreaming... But it looks like I am getting closer :)

ChopstickFox you might be right, I am so busy thinking of not to think or about rope or other technique that it is preventing me to relax enough, (damn it is hard ;) ) I will keep trying, and will post my thoughts about it

I am practicing it every night and as many have said it ain't easy but I hope to join this elite circle eventually.

What is best to do while doing it, try to not think at all or to think about leaving the body (i.e. rope, ladder... whatever)?

I try to be alert when I do it but when I strictly keep my mind clear as described in the treaties it is somehow preventing me from falling asleep, my mind is just to busy keeping itself clear (I know it sound silly). Probably I need a lot of training so it is not so hard for the brain to sustain this state.

Is it allowed to let imagination loose so that my mind would be more relaxed and just keep my attention on the process of falling asleep? This way I would actually have some chance to get asleep.

Hello guys.

I'll start with a short intro. Few years back I had what I think it was a Lucid Dream. I was fully aware and the dream istelf was super vivid and real the only comparison I can think of is that it was like a Halucination never before I had anything like it and I remembered it perfectly. I enjoyed it so much that I got interested in the subject.

I tried for a while without much luck to get similar experience and eventually gave up (in the time of few months I only had 2 LDs and none of them was even in 10% of clarity and vividness of the first one).

Then few months ago after long trip I slept about 8-10 hours but when I woke up it was still night (I went to bed early), so I he decided to sleep more. While I was laying and trying to fall asleep, after not long, maybe 10-20min I started to feel or maybe better describe it as hear in my head a buzzing noise it was only few seconds but it was the feeling of falling into a Trance state as I recently read in Robert Bruce's Astral Projection Treatises.
Whole happening was like this, I felt buzzing and in a split second I felt sudden quick drop through bed down to a dream (Trance) state, I didn't loose consciousness at all. I found myself in a fairly uninteresting dream as it was a room I never seen before and things were a bit different than in reality so I am assuming it was an Astral Projection of a kind.

Now to the point.

After reading Adtral Projection Tretises. I tried only couple times so far the technique described there to achieve AP. here's what I do:

  • lay down in a bed and relax first
  • then I do breathing meditation to clear mind
  • lastly I think about either going down the ladder/stairs or climbing the rope (depending if I try just Trance or to get an OBE)

Now my question is, what to do to get into the trance? If I lay and constantly think of not thinking to clear my mind it tires me a bit but my mind is to active to fall asleep. When I unleash my mind and let it imagine I fall asleep quickly but I am loosing the awareness of whole process. Sometimes I try for an hour or longer and nothing I can't get into.

How do you guys do it?
