After using the NEW system, did you notice any drastic increase in the control of  your energy? How long did it take for this to happen for you?
#2
What exactly causes blockages in your system and how are they best dealt with?

Theres no need of scientific proof, try Chakra excerises for yourself and come to your own conclusion.
I believe it is real, and have been doing Energy Work for a long time now.

If you can seek the truth within yourself (By putting it in practice),
Why wait for the opinion of someone else? (You trust yourself more than any other person right?)

Regardless of Degrees, and/or Education, There is a difference between Theory and Practice.

For those seeking to work with Chakras, I recommend
"The Chakra Workbook: A Step-by Step Guide to Realigning Your Body's Vital Energies " by Anna Voigt.

I stated earlier that I'm not look for infalliable, scientific proof or whatnot. I have my beliefs, but on an objective viewpoint, I just want to know where do this beliefs come from and what causes people to continue to say they exist?  I have done my own work, and had my own experiences, but sometimes they can mislead you. Out sheer curiousity and interest I want to know WHY do YOU think chakras exist. It doesn't have to make sense to you. I have my own reasons for asking.
#4
Okay, first let me elaborate that i'm not hear to debunk any of you or sound like a skeptic, nor am I asking you to pull out infallible, scientifically proven facts on the matter...I'm just asking, out of curiousity, how do you really know Chakras truely exist? Give me an example through either experience or expertise...

Thank You all. This really does help me. There are so many accounts for Kundalini, it's confusing cause no one ever gives an "interdisciplined" describtion of it. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but people always start talking waaaay above one's head and the person really does do a good job at making you understand what they are saying.

I believe it is your energy amplified and the kundalini is a state of being, do to all the accounts I've been hearing for months. Since it is hard to control and direct.

Again though, thank you all.
#6
Okay...I'm confused about something. The energy you feel during a kundalini experience....do you feel as if this energy is your own, just strengthed considerably by certian means or do you think its some kind of union with a deity? (As alot of people I've talked to believe).

And....How vast was this energy you felt during your experience.

Any replies would help me a bundle.

Once you are attuned, you remain attune to this energy always, right? I mean, there is no need for another transfer after a while?

My initial sensations weren't that strong, though, when I PRACTICED some of the techniques in the course guide, I felt substantual  power flowing through my body. Especially when I tried the meditation. I tried to heal people like crazy after I was attuned, but soon, my life got swamped and I haven't been able to practice it lately. I'm wondering will it still be as strong as before, since I haven't done it in a while.

Or, should I just try it and see instead of wasting your time? Lol. I should. I just wanted to be extra sure.
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Detecting ghost/spirits
October 16, 2006, 19:05:47
Okay, we all hear ghost stories and watch alot of movies and/or specials on ghost/spirits.

Most of us don't believe in them at all, some of us do, and the rest are in denial.

I for one, believe in them with a passion, although I've never quite been in the direct presence of one.

Its not the I fear the fact that ghost exist, or the ghost themselves, it just how they tend to appear or pop out of now where that gives me the chills. I hate surprises.

Anyway, I wanted to know if there was a way to detect or sense them before hand, so any troublesome spirits won't have the pleasure of making you tinkle your pants.

Also, I'll generally know (albeit, at least vaguely) where spirits reside in some places, so I can prepare myself for shock before hand.

I know i sound kind of cowardly or timid, but really, who wants to have their heart jump out of their throat when this happens to them? The best thing you need to do is stay calm. The ghost/spirit may be a friend trying to give you a message and you don't want to scare him off, do you?

So, I want to know, will building psychic/energetic abilities build my sensing of spirit beings around me as well as my awareness of them?

I'd appreciate the feedback (hope it's soon).

Thanks for those encouraging words, Stookie.  :-)

I was really going crazy with this. My dad is the kind of person that will surpess most of his emotions with the exception of anger, and having an argument/debate with him one time left me questioning what is strength at all?

Fortunately I have alot of caring people and friends who have helped me through this problem.

My current will is to be strong and positive, and I do believe its possible, but first I had to find out what those terms mean in the first place, ya know?

I really appreciate the help^_^.

What is strength? What does it mean to be "strong"? Internally?

Does it mean always holding back your tears or top notch control of one's emotions?
Does it mean never letting what others say ( friend, family, or otherwise) get to you?
Is it having faith at all times?

I have heard lots of different definitions on it but I still haven't been able to access what it truly means...

Is there a difference between feeling  hurt or down and wallowing  in your sadness?
Do the strong cry, get angry, or flustered?

I spent too many years in depression, thinking myself weak and all that. I overcame it eventually, getting respect for myself and valuing my life.

I absolutely do not want to go back to that, I'm so afraid of doing so.

So, please help me out.

Is one who gets overwhelmed with emotion still strong? If they do so, are they weak?

Can anybody here help me out with this?

I'm looking for information on where the idea behind the "energy body (bodies) derived from? What page in ancient history started all this? I want to know this because mostly out of curiousity. It is common for information regarding a certian pratice/theory can be changed over the years due to the flow of time and different cultures.

If any one can help me out by pointing me towards some of the oldest ideas regarding the energy body (or subtle bodies or whatnot) I'd really be appreciative.

Thank You VERY much for your support and help.

"Where awareness goes, the chi will follow". Most eastern practices call this the "Concept of Yi" which means Intention or Will.

It seems no different in what R.B. teaches, using your awareness to guide the energy in your body (and outside energy as well) to your energy centers to stimulate them.

So I think the best thing one can do to truly advance in energy work is have a good mind and concentration. It really has little to do with feeling physically more that it does actually holding  your awareness in one spot, no matter how you may do it.
#13
True, Tactile Imagining is powerful, but what works for one won't work for another and vice versa.

It's the simple matter of being able to maintain focus on one specific area (like Novice stated) with all your concentration. How you do so may vary, some people find Tactle Imagining is easier to use when it comes to this but your not limited to that. Try and do things out of the box and see what works for  YOU and you alone.

Awareness leads energy, so wherever you awareness goes, your energy follows. So if you focus on a specific point that just so happens to hold a energy center, energy will be circulated there. Just so long as you have good concentration and a good sharp mind.

Moving awareness is easy once you are able to focus. You are somewhat aware of your entire body at once actually. What your doing is learning on to pinpoint a specific spot. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Think of , you get hurt in a certian part of your body and you try to concentrate on something else to ease the pain or you can feel the warmness of a flame when your hands are close to it, and can easily become aware of that feeling.

All and all, just keep pratices and remember, keep your mind strong and always do what works for YOU. You don't always have to go "by the book".

Truly hope you succeed at this.
#14
Can energy centers be affected by thoughts or whatnot? Like, negative thoughts drain power from your centres well positive somewhat restores them?

If that's the case, what's REALLY effecting the centers then? You awareness, right? Which is a extension of your MIND.

So, one could say a strong mind (along with devotion and pratice) is all thats needed to advance in NEW mostly?
#15
So in reality its actually your awareness that does the stimulating, not your physical, mundane sense of touch?(because that just wouldn't sound right to me?)
#16
NEW is pretty versatile and has many beneficial results, from what I've read.

But, I have to ask, what really are you using to stimulate your energy body? Your sense of touch (tactile sensations) or your awareness?

Could it be that we only use tactile exercises in NEW because we only need it to pinpoint are awareness better? RB did say over time, that you will not need perform any pre-tactile exercises once you got used to the system, since you're awareness would be trained to automatically travel to any place within you.

So, I know the tactile procedures are important and not saying they aren't necessary at all(note key words: At all). But really what lets you progress in NEW, your awareness or how well you can feel (which is not easy for all of us).
#17
How else have you been benefited? I know there a ton more out there that has experience in you. Please share and don't be modest!

Here's an additional questions
6)Since starting, have you felt a little more powerful that usual? ( Not just in terms of strength."Active" too. Like, are you less lazy   ).

I'm wondering if NEW can help aid in combat, thats my reason for asking this particular question.

KEEP POSTING!!! PLEASE!!!

Quote from: gnomadWell, the intention of the track is to help take you into trance, and then provide some audible cues for working with the chakras.

Robert Bruce recommends not working with the chakras until you've practised for a few months with general energy body stimulation - so if you like, you could adapt the audible cues for this purpose instead.  For example, when you hear the first sound change, focus on the feet - then legs, lower spine, upper spine, arms, hands, full body (or similar).

Just passively listening certainly isn't going to do you any harm - you need to be doing visualizations and actively trying to work on your energy body to bring about effects.  So maybe ease yourself into it.. listen passively a couple of times and just get used to the feeling of relaxation it induces.  Then start to bring in visualizations of simple energy exercises - eg, see Robert Bruce's tutorial here.  Then only when you feel you are ready, bring in chakra work and AP visualizations.

That's it? Just focus on that one body part? Can you visualize the centers there opening or energizing there to if you want, or do you have to perfrom new to stimulate these only? I need kind of a jump start with NEW, seeing how my practice is going very slow. However, this may help me a great deal.
It truly sounds like a wonderful track. I already downloaded the rest of the MP3's on the site except Abyss...I'll get to that soon though.
Great Job!

Most of you aren't giving me a straight answer to these...Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your feedback, but I still would prefer to get me questions answered (preferably if your more experienced).

Sorry, I hope that didn't come off as rude or anything, I just need a answer to these...I'll post them up again.

1) After working with NEW, how long has it taken you to actively feel out your energy? (EX: Better feel of it flowing through you)

2) What is the benefit of developing the full-body circuit and can it change you? How did you change?

3) How much do you think has your personal energy has increased since you've started this program?

4) Is energy automatically raised when you store energy into your Sub-Navel, or do you have to do any extra directing on your part from that point on? (EX:if you into martial arts, taking the energy from your sub-navel and directing it towards your arm)

5) What else have you noticed that is different?
#20
Glad your enjoying your practice!

Thanks for sharing also^^

Anybody else wanna share their experiences concerning my questions?
#21
Yo,

I want to ask all you experienced NEW practicers:

1) After working with NEW, how long has it taken you to actively feel out your energy? (EX: Better feel of it flowing through you)

2) What is the benefit of developing the full-body circuit and can it change you? How did you change?

3) How much do you think has your personal energy has increased since you've started this program?

4) Is energy automatically raised when you store energy into your Sub-Navel, or do you have to do any extra directing on your part from that point on? (EX:if you into martial arts, taking the energy from your sub-navel and directing it towards your arm)

5) What else have you noticed that is different?

Thanks for you help, please be sure to reply to this soon if you can help. I'll appreciate it greatly.

  Its turns out, I was wrong after all!

I asked Robert Bruce himself about this (which is something I should have done in the first place) and he confirmed it for me.

So, thanks, I am happy to admit I was wrong on this.

Then either everything I've  read over the past years is either  a misconception, or I am still missing something.

I have alot of articles saved over from the past for years about the Root. I only ever heard of the Sub-Navel until recently.

But every article stated that the root was located 2 inches below your navel. I'm a martial artist too, and this is where my teachers tell me to draw energy from.

Combine that with all of the post dealing with that center on this very forum, so of the people here refered to it clearly as the Base/power center.

Oh, well, none the less, better see what other replies I get.

Thank you: runlola, GOTHIKA and Orygbus for your replies as well.
#24
Okay, this has been confusing me.

It has come to my attention that the Sub-Navel and Root center are both generally stated to be located in the same place (below the navel , in between pubic line).

So, this leaves me to believe, since Robert Bruce uses Western Terminology in his works, could "Sub-Navel" just be another title for the Root/Base Dan tien?

If they aren't they same, this is all terribly confusing for me.

Please someone help me!!!

Indeed there is alot more to energy raising than one thinks. And yes, I agree with you that their are different types of energies, but they all stem from the same source.

I really didn't mean it that we don't have to focus on our chakras, by all means no! You'll be missing out on a grand thing if you do, I was just stating that our chakras work continuously without us even trying to do so, much like you can breathe (like CDtraveler stated) and not have to think too much about doing so. And we are merely becoming "aware" of our already divine nature.

I really don't know what to think about energy - and maybe that's my problem - I think too much. My parents and friends have told me that I over-analyze make things much more difficult than they already are, when they should just be relatively simple. It's a habit I'm continuing to work on.

When I first started energy work I did nothing but base it off experiences my friends have had, and gone with their philosophies/definitions. I already proved ki to myself prior, but nothing on what they claimed(?) to have done(I don't know if they were sincere or not, but hey, I was willing to believe them. Heck, I still believe them to be sincere, although they be mis-interpreted on ki, which is common).

A long time ago I came up with a notion that all one needs is a strong spirit and a strong mind to get good at ki.
My friends told me otherwise.

Now looking back, I see that listening to they every word and eating it up was a grave mistake that wasted so much valuable time could have used to discover the truths for myself.

That's why I usually don't post in forums unless something REALLY is eating at my mind. I also find that others ask the same question I do sometimes, so it saves me trouble.

Now, I'm more independent when it comes to energy work, considering everyone's experiences but finding the truth on my own.

So, here is what I guess I was trying to say: We must become aware of the powers/capabilities we already have inside of us, has CDtraveler stated.

As for that horoscope thing, I haven't checked mine in a while, so I'm not so sure what house I'm in, but I'm an Aries, and they have alot of passion, which probably explains my obsession to understand/gain knowledge (also makes me stubborn   )
