   Hey , Lets look at this from a different perspective, shall we?About 30 yrs back, this end of the world craze was  existant and back then another date was given for this event , and even the yr 2000 was considred to be the end of this world! My point is , we human beings because of our uncertainity of our future tend to be over paranoid and come out with baseless conclusions and inferences such as the end of the world and stuff and this would keep happening.The mayan calender ending, for example, does that necessarily pronounce the end of the world?Like somebody pointed out before, a calender has to end at some point or the other! , it doesnt mean something drastic is going to happen that would change us forever.
  How many of us even know what the calender is or everything about the mayans?Who are the ppl who come out and make the claims they make, are they credible?,cos everybody who claims such stuff is selling a particular product and none of this information comes free.All this might be some elaborate marketing scheme, giving us somebody's baseless creativity and associating it to our reality and thus attracting gullible people !Well , u can argue by saying ,they need their income so they sell information  like all other people who sell their products or info(normal financial structure of our society).Agreed, but what concerns me is what their info is , its about spirituality , its abt psychic powers, abt law of attraction, 2012 etc i.e something which we are amazed by. If they can practice what they preach, they can give this info for free and help us believe they are genuine philanthropists and attract their income through other sources, right?or showcase their powers in public or atleast to ppl who are open to learn,right?
  Now, abt the countless prophecies, these are interpreted by us and they can be interpreted in any possible manner.Well any smart person can make  paradoxial ,hazy ,metaphorical statements having a particular notion in his or her head, but that can be interpreted in a different manner by somebody else according to this other person's belief or ideas in his or her head!Its biased,right?So we cant be absolutely  certain abt our interpretations.
  Hence i would conclude,2012 would be just another year,but there would be progress as we all are progressing inch by inch( u have got to agree we are better of then how ppl were 1000 yrs back).Anyway this is just one way of looking at it,but thanks to the uncertainties in me, i would say, i could be wrong as well.So go by ur discretion!
 

Sounds like you are naive. If humans think so alike then why don't we all have the same cultures? Pyramids are one of the common things that different cultures share. So if you truly believe that pyramids don't mean much like I said you are naive or maybe you just didn't think of that.

Hmmm....369, what u r pointing to has just abt the same probability of being a fact as that of what mydral said.Everything which has been said here are mere opinions and nothing with absolute facts and experimental details, and even if u have sources , these sources are also just speculations again.So everything here is an opinion,and none of it could be a reality,so lets not make anything here our bible and be similar in a way to some zealots we have in our society and learn to be flexible.
  I might be slightly inclined to what mydral pointed to , are we giving our history more importance than what it should be given? To understand our past, all we have to do is understand us now,cos in abt 10 000 yrs we have definitely not evolved so much as to distinguish a difference( evolved genetically  and wrt dna that is)! We have always been fascinated with nature ,our environment ,always questioned and tried to understand and always been creative!Thus i have to say we human beings are very much alike though in the past we had been divided.
   So now to come to the pyramids, look at their basic structure and look around and what reminds u of a large base and sharp tip?there are many natural structures, to start with lets just say a mountain(agreed it isnt a perfect pyramidal structure,far from it, but it can give rise to an idea thanks to our inherent creativity). Our ancestors should be given due credit, cos they were just like us with the same intelligence, and hence perfectly able to create the monuments they created then and attributing them to their beliefs and culture.So if i have been able to express myself clearly, u might wonder now whats so alien about the pyramids or any other structures?If not, just take a paper and draw something whatever comes in ur mind,there u would see ur creativity with some element of logic, and hence then u might believe with some effort structures like the pyramids can be constructed by humans!So now,we can deduce, pyramids have just some historical significance!(abt it being aligned, tht can be done again with time and effort).
   Now abt the aliens, this concept is similar to the concept of GOD!If we cant explain something , y do we always bring a greater force?Why dont we accept we are not intelligent enough to understand our universe completely?We could be just like chickens trying to understand quantum physics( that is if they try to )!LOL, but then again this is my opinion , u could be very well right abt aliens,astral, god and stuff.So i guess we should be open minded and not be fixated to any idea or lash an idea however preposterous it might seem.

anyway...i guess there might be some genuine and some crappy info out there in the net.....n we have to use our discrimination to choose the right ones..
Anyway i saw The Secret...it sounds very interesting and good....i agree with the fact that positive thinking affects ur performance,ur confidence,ur moods n stuff.....but that is in a psychological level!!....n do u guys believe it is actually possible to manifest what u think ....do u have any experiences with it??

Hey guys!! I have come to understand most of the information given in this site , but what is still fueling my skepticism is why is their so much of commercialization??Most products i have come across regarding spiritual development are advertised repeatedly.....just the same as products by some profit making private company trying to run a biz!!
  My point is....if this is a benevolent gesture in order to improve the lives of all human beings...y should it come with a price tag?? Well..take the documentary THE SECRET for example, well i agree they have to make the money they spent making the video!!....but what is raising my eyebrows is the fact that they are charging 5$ per view,and there r so many of us browsing the net these day...the numbers could be in millions...and if each of us are willing to spend this very little amount ,the ppl who made this video would be millionaires in no time......and the video could be just another crap to feed you with likable and believable insights ...and ppl tend to believe nice and likable things..!!....and the same thing implies to all the other products being sold !!....so the commercialization is definitely reducing the authenticity of these kind of products and services....making it even more dubious !!..a lot of ppl i know..think of all this to be a scam!!....anyway i hope u guys have understood my problem here....

okay i am a rookie and i have tried attempting to astral project and even use the law of attraction,well and i am not too sure abt the results!!...well the little experiences i had could be cast away as my aberrations. well i wanted to believe in this astral so badly,that i might have somehow created those dreams of astral projcting(which was very hazy)...i hope u guys get what i mean...!!
so whats bothering me is if all this is just made up,the law of attraction thing just to beguile the masses into believing that their is a purpose behind everything!! ...well...and we getting choushed by these extraordinary claims of richness and happiness and fulfillment of desires.we just tend to put some money on all this stuff(the products ppl sell)...and voila those ppl earn millions by selling a fantasy!!..so can this be a con game??cos there are so many ppl selling their products online!!..all similar stuff!!...so if all these things were true, y not just give the secrets for free(i mean if they have the intention to enlighten masses)...and can always find means to attract wealth (if their teachings are true)..( 40$ is like 2000 rs..thats a persons salary for one mnth ..here).....if its free or  a lot cheaper....ppl in poorer economies can benefit(and dependent ppl(students)...whose parents are unwilling to splurge too much on things they dont believe..as in my case))
well , this mainly goes toward the documentary..THE SECRET...!if its such a life altering thing...y not just give it free, and try distributing it to evry person in every corner!!
So, this all could just be a con game to fool the gullible and get some easy money by giving the mass what they want to hear....get it??
anyway...i really dont want to hurt anybodies sentiments here.....this thing is just bothering me a bit...so just throwing some amount of skepticism

well i am from a conventional society, so usually free sex,masturbation is considered wrong or detrimental to your spiritual growth, i though being slightly more open to all this(sometimes feel guilty)...so i want to know if i perceive it as right,does it become right and vice versa...get my drift???

well like all things,even ur dreams have a meaning(although they r not often direct)!! well even i have had these strange experiences , once i was in the same state u had described earlier(paralyzed)...but i was very much conscious and aware!! Just then , an evil entity(a demon child....or something like that)...tried to enter me...and when it was trying...i was fighting it and the moment i won and threw it out...i woke up!!..well ...i have an interpretation which i made according to my intuitions!!...the same way..only u can interpret urs....!!....although....neway there is no such things as absolute evil and good....they are only relative perceptions!! Like all other things in ur life they r just mere mental constructions so as for ur soul to experience these various situations!!...well and i believe u can manifest ur own reality by controlling ur thoughts...!!....so the way to counter those bad lucid dreams....would be just to be positive and telling urself nothing negative will influence u in any way and u dictate ur own reality!!...neway...there are a lot of ppl here who can throw some brighter light to these matters....stick to this site and u will learn a lot(...and i am learning a lot from it....)....neway..cya
