K i was lying in my bed and just doing breath awareness and such to clear my mind, i was like this for awhile, then my body started like thumping, which it felt like. Not sure how to describe it at the moment :P. Anyways a little after that i think i started feeling vibrations, cause it felt like my whole bed was moving back and forth and i was like "whoa, okay stay calm". Then lol i heard a very loud sound outside my window, it was like a gust of wind followed by lots of rustling leaves, which haha freaked me out. Then i believe i lost the vibrations because i got freaked out by the sudden gust of wind :P. So after this i look at my bedside clock and realize whoa it's been 35 minutes since i started. When i was lying there it sure didn't feel like 35 minutes. Well anyways that's my story for now, i still haven't given up, gonna try again later today. Any comments would be appreciated.

I tried again today with no luck, i tried entering the trance state, but couldn't really keep my focus. One good thing though during my try i got a call from an employer about a job woo woo. So not all that bad. I can get into the trance state sometimes, i just think i need to work on my focus.

Congrats! hearing success stories on this board really makes me feel good. Soon enough i'll join you with a success story of my own hehe

I was laying on my couch and trying to get into the trance state by just laying there and listening to the humming of the ceiling fan. it was working then i my body felt like it was floating and i felt so relaxed.  then i i tried using the rope technique, it was going good for awhile, but what i noticed was that it wasn't a rope it was a chain. Something i noticed as i was doing this, then i don't know i kept trying but couldn't get out, also  my head started to hurt the more i tried to pull myself up. So i ended it and just layed there for a bit and thought.
Any insight would be appreciated

sounds cool, i'll try and increase the rocking next time i'm in that state, then an exit technique, am i close to projecting?

earlier today i was doing some energy body work, primarily on my legs, i started the energy work after i had done a full body relaxation thing, and breath awareness for like 5 mins. What i'm wondering now is that when i was doing the energy work i started feeling as if i was slowly moving backwards and forwards, i was sitting in a hard backed chair at the time, and checked to make sure i wasn't involuntarily doing it myself. So my question is what was the sort of pulsing i was feeling, i felt it for awhile too, it only stopped after i had finished a little before i had finished my energy body work. If it helps at all i'm using the book "Mastering Astral Projection".

hi, thanks for all the info, ya when i did feel the pulsing it think i wasn't expecting it and then i couldn't concentrate at all, it felt like all these thoughts came in. that was probably my first actual good attempt at projecting.

hi, i've been into astral projection for the past few months and just recently got back into trying to project again, last night was my first good attempt i believe. i was trying the Robert Bruces ROPE method. I was lying in my bed with my arms crossed at the wrist, i was climbing the ROPE when i started feeling this pulsing sensation around the area of my chest and where my arms were crossed. My question is what was that pulsing? was it anything at all?
