I'm sorry about that.  I posted it here because I find it fascinating that no one has solved this case and if anyone could travel backwards or somehow contact her spirit, maybe it could give some answers.

http://blackdahliasolution.org/orientation.htm - I know this probably isn't the best way to bring this topic up, but once you read this wesite, you will not stop thinking about this woman and her brutal murder.  This killer needs to be brought to justice or at least identified.  I came across this website by accident after looking for the movie trailer and it's the saddest, most twisted story I've ever read in my life.  If any of you can travel back through time, help solve the murder of Elizabeth Short.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to get some opinions on what happened to me yesterday afternoon.

I woke up around 7:00 a.m.  By 4 o'clock, I was ready to lay down and rest.

Well, I was able to close my eyes, but not fall asleep.  I was conscious of what was going on around me, but then I dozed off.

The next thing I remember was being asleep, but feeling awake.  I wasn't trying to astral project or anything.  I haven't been practicing actually.

I don't know if I entered some kind of lucid state, but I had cloudy vision.  I remember a figure hovering over me.  I didn't see it's face, I couldn't even tell if it was human, but it had long hair.  I only saw it for a second.

The very next second, I remember experiencing an intense choking feeling, like the air was being sucked out of me.  I also felt an intense amount of pressure on my chest as if someone were pushing on it or sitting on it.

I remember trying to move my arms, but I couldn't.  I couldn't move my legs.  I was gasping for air when all the while, I was asleep yet conscious.  I thought if I didn't wake up soon, I was going to die.  I could feel myself slipping away, but I was aware that I was asleep and awake at the same time and I think that's what actually pulled me out of it.

But I'm wondering:  What the hell happened?  And if I wasn't trying to project or anything, why did it happen?

Please let me know,

I know your frustration.  I'm ready to give up already...it's very disappointing.  I've tried several methods:  imagining where i would like to be and creating a mental picture, focusing on breathing, starting at the blackness when my eyes are closed, hypnosis mp3's, nirvana II mp3 - nothing seems to help.

I read the post he was talking about, but I still don't understand...what is the triangle method?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Progress?
February 23, 2006, 10:27:50
Hey everyone,

I think I achieved some progress last night, but I'm feeling drained this morning.

Last night, I was trying to project.

I kept telling myself that my body was becoming lighter and lighter.

I did this for probably an hour and a half when I began to notice that my body had fallen asleep, but my mind was awake.

It almost felt like my mental half was on the left side of my body and the sleeping half was on the right.

However, after 2 hours of feeling like this, I simply opened my eyes and tried to go to sleep, which hasn't happened yet.  For some reason, I just couldn't go to sleep.

I am feeling drained.  Did I do something wrong or did I achieve the mind awake/body asleep state?

Hey,

I was trying to project last night, but instead of doing that, my entire body (except for my head) went numb.  When I gave up and rolled over, it felt like your foot does when it falls asleep, but I felt it everywhere.

What does it mean?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Chanting...
February 07, 2006, 18:08:00
I've been thinking about doing some silent chanting while trying to get my body relaxed.

I keep telliing myself that I'm floating over and over again.

Does anyone think this would be effective?

Please let me know what you think...

If it's better not to focus on your body, does that mean it's better to focus on your mind?  I have been wondering if silent chanting would help with this at all...any thoughts on that?

I will definitely try to focus on my breathing.  That sounds easy enough :)

I'll let you know what happens, hustler

Thanks.

Thanks, hustler.  I will try to imagine that I am floating next time I try.

I tried to do it this morning, but when I closed my eyes and started breathing in and out, I became conscious of the fact that I was trying to do it.  Then, I happened to remember the dream I had right before waking up (but I couldn't wake myself up during the dream or tell myself to stop the dream).  It involved a bunch of characters from Smallville (haha).  Then, I became aware of the fact that I was more hungry than anything, so I just  had to get up and wake up.

I also tried to do it last night as well.  Everything was going fine until my mind started going off on its own.  I had thoughts coming in and songs playing in my head.  At one point, I grabbed my head and told myself, "I just want to go to sleep!"  Finally, it was 1:59 in the morning and I just kept thinking and thinking about daily things, memories, etc that I got up and went into my living room and wrote something down.  After doing that, I thought it would help me go to sleep (to release whatever it was that was keeping me awake).  However, the thoughts of daily activities and what I need to buy, how much money should I spend, should I buy this, remembering co-workers from my job, etc continued.  Finally, it was 3:30 in the morning when I last looked at the clock.  It's 9 a.m.  I feel rested, but I have no idea why.

I'm one of those creative people who can last the entire day with only four or five hours of sleep.  That's why I had to write some thoughts down (I write songs, too).  That didn't help, so now I'm upset because sometimes I can't shut the thoughts off.

Ok, sorry for rambling.  I will definitely try using my imagination the next time I do it.

Thanks hustler.

Every time I wake up and think about doing it then, I just fall asleep.

is there any way that I can tell myself to wake up during my dreams without having to write anything on my arms or use sleep deprivation?

I have heard that it does help to do it after you wake up, but I really hate sleeping in.

Just like last night:  I did the same thing I normally do.  I felt all the tingles and little muscle spasms, but after an hour and half of that, I just decided to go to sleep.

I suppose I could try.

Sometimes, my problem is actually doing it every day.  Sometimes, I just don't feel like it.  What's the best way to over come that?

Hey everyone,

I am new here.

I have been trying to astral project for awhile now.  I've been having some problems.  It seems that I can relax just fine.  I can even hearing the ringing noise that everyone talks about, but I can't seem to focus on it for very long.

After awhile, my body starts tingling - it almost feels numb.  I've noticed that whenever this tingling is going on that my hands seem very heavy.  I also notice that the tingling starts in my legs and then goes upward.  I also feel a lot of twitches and little muscle spasms going on in my hands and my legs.

It seems that I can get relaxed just fine, but after that, nothing happens.  I usually spend an hour or more doing it whenever I can, but after awhile I feel tired and have to stop.

The only thing remotely close to an AP was waking up one night feeling as though I had fallen from the sky and hit my bed hard.  That only happened once though.

I'm trying not to get discouraged.

Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on how to get further into it?

I'd really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
