I do not believe in such a thing as karma, and reincarnation is one of the hardest aspects of spirituality for me to take seriously.  That endless billions of people are born and reborn time and time again to learn. Learn what? That putting my hand on a firepit hurts? To learn compassion? Or to let go of all earthly desires and ascend ?   If there is such a thing as a creator, if there's life after death, which seems to me to be something people who are afraid of death are firm believers of, then it shouldn't take an almost endless amounts of lives for an equally almost endless number of individual beings in order to learn whatever it is.

Why would an all-powerful Force of Creation need to experience mortal life in order to learn? Well, it could  be that if there's really something as a central station hosting the Origin of all life, maybe that thing is bored out of its wits and needs constant stimulation in the form of people being born, suffering, growing old and dying to stave off boredom. Kinda like how if a malevolent Alien species came to Earth and forced earthlings to fight each other and broadcast it for the rest of the Universe to watch the spectacle.

I don't know. Until proof shows itself to go against what I believe, I'll stick to my guns and say that the lot we have in life boils down to luck. You are either lucky to be born into the English Royal Family and be raised to be a King, you are born with the talent and the right gene pool to look like Errol Flynn, or you have the bad luck of being born with lame legs in some mud village somwhere in Africa. Kinda hard for me to believe that those who happen to live in Brazil, Africa, China and so forth are either paying karma debts or living beneath human dignity to learn a lesson.

But there is a lesson here, nevertheless.  There is only equality amongst the elite of men.

Many accounts people/entities say you have lessons you want to learn when you incarnate usually. (You can always take a break).
Being too hard on yourself may very well be a lesson you have to learn, and to move on from your mistakes, dont fret over the inevitable incarnation that you will have no clue as to what it will be, and become a better you generally speaking!

If such a thing as reincarnation does exist, its probably random. I mean. What could someone possibly do that would warrant such a reward as being born to become Brad Pitt?

And it would also be a recreation based upon the way you see the story.
That's the thing with a book vs a movie.  In a movie, you have the visuals and "life" of the story already sussed out for you... so chances are good, that is how you'll see it.
With a book, you create everything in your head.  Imagine Harry Potter if there were not any movies.  How would it look to you if you were to immerse yourself in the Potter world?

That take on it made me wonder.  People could have two ways of going through these experiences.  They could have a custom-made adventure set out for them by astral projecting into a movie and just relaxing and enjoying the scenery, or they could activelly take part in the developement of the story, like 'choose your adventure' books back in the day and tailor their own experience to their own liking as they go along. Wouldn't surprise me if I was to find out some famous novelist uses astral projection as a source of inspiraction.

Is it possible to astral project or remote view into a novel and to experience ''life'' as a character, like watching a movie from within the book itself?

QuoteWhat's the point of killing yourself because of an illusion (maya) ?

He can get a better soul contract.

QuoteAs long as he is happy (to give love) it can be pretty much irrelevant if he is loved by his woman or not.

That is pretty much non-existent. that kind of people.

How can somebody be happy for feeling an illusion?

matter of fact, happiness is an illusion heh.

QuoteNow you are just being selfish.  :naughty:
I'm being selfish because I'm being realistic?

Half the world is dying of aids, hunger, diseases, war, and he should bring more people to this planet?

well, looking at they're usual songs, we can say this one is a love song

lol, the singer uses a mask with spikes to enhance his voice.

when the spikes penetrate his flesh  the pain makes him scream like he does meh.

If you like they're masks you should take a look at the Finnish band "lordi"

Vermilion Part 2 -Slipknot

She seemed dressed in all of me
Stretched across my shame
All the torment and the pain
Leaked through and covered me
I'd do anything to have her to myself
Just to have her for myself
Now I don't know what to do
I don't know what to do
When she makes me sad

She is everything to me
The unrequited dream
A song that no one sings
The unattainable
She's a myth that I have to believe in
All I need to make it real is one more reason

I don't know what to do
I don't know what to do
When she makes me sad

But I won't let this build up inside of me

I catch in my throat
Choke
Torn into pieces
I won't - no
I don't wanna be this

But I won't let this build up inside of me

She isn't real
I can't make her real

Like  the moderators say on the " Spirituality & Sexuality " thread. "Love" is an illusion. sex is an illusion".

what's the point of living for an illusion?

and he might 'fall in love' but who can assure the other person is going to fall for him?

There are too many people on the planet. if he doesn't have kids it's for the best.

(unless he has a HIGH IQ worthy passing over)

Quote from: CANNIBALEXi feel that if someone truly wants to die, they should have the freedom to do so.

i spent hours arguing this point with my theology teacher

True. if people are trying to legalize Abortion, so why not suicide? a person goes into a little chamber, gets gased, dies quickly and bam, the world suffers less from over population.

win-win situation.

I love you too honey.

if i saw the utility of loving you  ;o

but thanks for that sweet post :)

I'm 22.

i got one when my grandfather died and another when my grandmother of the other side of the family died.

the part above is for the user who posted before you, nay.

but since we're having an hippie moment, i love you too nay

Depends on the situation

if i gain something by becoming friends with the person, i do it.
a
fter getting what i want from the person, i get rid of her or him.

Nah, i keep some friends, i keep this girl, I'm conducting an experience on her, I'm trying to find out  the amount of time and effort it takes me to make her fall in love with me. at least she thinks i have feelings for her,as a friend, and maybe something more.

I just see  her as a lab experience :D

of course  i play a whole different role as a person, the type that cares about her, etc etc

It's all in the name of science.

but really, i don't see myself as negative.

i have never beaten anyone, stole or anything like that.

I see myself as Neutral.

Neither good, neither bad.

Perfection IMO :D

I'm sorry for not being full of love for mankind, I'm not a Jesus Christ.

he's a great man. i have huge respect for great males.

See how i don't deserve immortality?

Quote from: NayLOL.. *shakes head*  Whatever you want, oh dark one.

It's getting really sad to see so many with the same attitude.  Why so negative?  Isn't even a small part of your existence, worth half a smile?

Do you have no friends?  Do you have parents that beat you?  Do you have a mate that beats you?  Are you so hideously scarred that people run from you?  Are you missing a limb?  Are you dying of Cancer?  Are you hungry right now because you have no food?  Are you going to have to sleep outside tonight in a cardboard box because you have no home?  Are you having to use a old computer?  Are you having to play stupid old video games because you can't afford them?  Are you being harassed at work?  Do you work?  Are you being beat up at school?  Do the teachers treat you like shite?

WHAT?

Negative?

I'm not negative lol

Yes  i do have friends.

Until they stop serving their purpose, that is.

my parents have never beaten me,No.

I resent that though.

No, I don't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend. they have no utility to me

Scarred? I'm quite cute, so they say

I have all of my limbs, and i don't have cancer, or any other disease. never had one. Not even an headache ;o

I have plenty of food.

I have 2 houses.

Nah, just bought a new computer. capable of playing  all the games.

Unfourtony, i was never beaten at school or treated badly  by my teachers

I'mm just not interested in Immortality.

The most beautiful thing about this world is that everything ends.

Everything has a   purpose.

Now, immortality. it has no beginning and no ending.

And I'm not interested in god, wouldn't mind having his power, but  i can't so...

To spend eternity as a Little mass off energy? not my thing, sorry.

And the chance of being incarnated as a female? NO THANK YOU

yeah, yeah, i know, i might have had female lives before, but i don't remember

I'm quite happy with my life, that's why i don't want anymore.

I'm getting really annoyed at the continuous lectures of how ' we are all connected,we are all one,god loves us'

I don't want love. I don't want Oneness, i don't care about anyone but me

I remember this book , don't remember
There was god, and god only let the best specimens of the human race live after death.

and he chose this math teacher, one of the best, and this guy had it all, a beautiful wife, a daughter, recognition etc etc, but he, as i didn't wish for immortality.

Nor did this god. he got fe up with immortality so he recruited the most brilliant minds of mankind to come up to a solution.

he wanted to die.

Life is overreacted, is not really that big of a deal.

of course, if the specimen is by any chance a DA vinci,Stephen hawking's,Alexander III, etc, now that's worth living.

but for the great majority life is always the same.

Not really worth all the trouble we have with it.

Anyway, is there any  possibly truth to my previous statement, about going away from god's light equals spiritual death?

thanks for the attention.

Quote from: NayYeah he did.  Many wonderful souls were so selfless that they decided to go through such a horrific thing.    Well, horrific thing to us now, here.  But when you are on the 'other-side' it makes so much sense and is understood while not in this physical body, it almost becomes a beautiful thing to see souls working together for the ultimate good.

Those people not only learned many lessons for themselves, but they also did it out of love for others, so we could learn from  it too.   I thank those people who chose such hard lives, to help me learn without having to go through it myself.  I believe when a soul chooses such hard lessons, they advance, for lack of a better term, a lot faster than us folks that choose to just skate through this life without learning anything.  What a waste of time.  If I'm going to come to this hell on earth, you can damn well bet, I'm going back with lessons under my belt.

I know I've learned from every abuse that was acted out against me.  Maybe not at the time it was happening, but I learned and grew from it sooner or later, and I am the person I am today because of it.  And I actually have them to thank for it.

A thought about Hitler.. Don't get me wrong.  His soul, IMO, was far from God's light to begin with and he has many, many, lives to live before he feels the light.  But he has a role in the grand scheme of things.  It took me many years to actually feel the words I'm speaking now.  I do not hate Hitler the person, I hate the actions.. but they were necessary.  And I give my love to those who chose such a fate in that incarnation.

is it possible to make our soul go so far away from god's light that it ends up dying?(the soul) ?

Hm, maybe by that actions i  lower  my soul vibrations and when  i reach a certain level i cease existing.

IAh! I have my next incarnation chosen!

you don't need to reach a specific state, this process goes on all the time but normally you are not aware of it, it is part of the subconscious just as job said.

I'm not aware because it doesn't happen in my case :/

and thing, souls like Jack The Ripper,The Zodiac Killers, Hitler,Genghis Khan, are connected to me? i don't think i like that.

Shouldn't those souls be destroyed?
