Hey everyone!
okay the past few months I've been having these really cool experiences but I'm not completely sure they are obes. I will be sleeping but semi-conscious and I will feel like I'm being pulled from my body or am lifting out of it (my head wont move though, its just my lower body that starts floating upwards); I dont do any exit techniques or anything (Ive tried but so far havent had a conscious projection). I always think "wow im coming out of my body" and then the feeling will usually go away, only to come back again a little bit later. My body feels like its kind of buzzing and I will feel myself kinda being pulled downwards. I remembered thinking once that I wanted to lift out of body and see myself on the bed. I think after this I fully awoke. Always after I awake, I have this distant feeling, like what I just felt didnt really happen or maybe I was just dreaming. Could these just be dreams? Or am I actually lifting partially out of my body? Arg!!

Someone mentioned that lots of Tool songs fit this topic, which I agree with as well (they actually got me interested in all this stuff)...

-the climax in lateralus always makes me think of leaving my body (see below)

With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going...

anyways there are more, so many Tool songs seem to have a metaphysical side...

Hey guys...
about a week ago, I had woken up early to go running. Being really physically tired when I returned, I laid down to take a nap. I was drifting off to sleep and was having some dream imagery or something (I remember thinking I was frying eggs in my kitchen or soemthing...) All of a sudden I became lucid, like I knew I was falling asleep. I felt myself being pulled downwards, and gave into the feeling. There was this really loud noise and all this bright white light was swimming in front of my eyes. It was pretty intense...soon after all this, I felt like my legs were floating high above me. It felt like my whole body was being lifted out, except for my head. I remember trying to will my head up, but it didnt work and I ended up waking up pretty soon after. I remeber my vision being really cloudy. Anyways this experience was pretty damn awesome and I'd love to hear feedback (and ways to get completely out, not just my legs). Thanks!

Hey guys...
sorry I'm new to all this so I will probably have a lot of questions.
Anyways, last night I was laying in my bed practicing my deep breathing an jut trying to be really relaxed. With every deep breath I took, I was imagining being filled up with energy. I got really focused on this and eventually felt this wave of heat and energy pass through me; I felt like I was spinning around really fast, or falling sideways. It was a cool feeling! However, I think I got too excited and lost my concentration and the feeling disappeared. Am I on the right track? How do I not get too excited and lose focus? Thanks!

thanks for replying...
is sleep paralysis a positive thing then? What I mean is, can I embrace it and use it to help me eventually project out of my body? Sometimes I want so badly to give into it, but there is too much fear...

Hey everyone...
I've just recently become interested in all this stuff and I think it might explain these strange symptoms I've had the last few years~

Sometimes (usually during the day, when I feel tired and take a nap or whatever) my body will feel like its pulling me under, and I will feel like I'm shaking or having seizures. I'm not sure if I'm actually moving or vibrating, but it feels like it. Anyways I always want to "give in" to this feeling, but I'm too afraid to and I force myself back out of it. Does that have anything to do with any of this? Or do I just have some weird health problem? I'd just like to know what that all means, if anyone could help...thanks!
