'School and work are both slave-labor going toward the benefit of someone you'll never meet'

If that's how you perceive it, then so shall it be.

To be honest, I don't disagree with you entirely, but what I would say, is that in EVERYTHING you do, there is opportunity to gain in one respect or another.

Yes Mydral, I get your analogy, and I agree with it.

Let's take it a step further... the harder (or smarter) you work, either at school or at your place of employment, the more you acheive and the better your life will become at home - be it for financial reasons, or family reasons etc. The better your life at home, the more you are able to deal with things that come up during your day at work / school, because you feel better supported in life and more secure.

There is a positive feedback effect from both parts of an individuals life and they act upon and enhance each other.

:-D Hooray! I had another RTZ OBE last night.

Vibes came on strong, no fear... in fact I really enjoyed them last night. Then out I popped.

Vision wasn't there at first, thn it all came good.

I think there is a lot of wisdom in some of the responses given above.

I first spontaneously projected, completely without intention, back in May this year. I then read Astral Dynamics to try and find out what was going on and feel that I have had my eyes opened, for want of a better expression.

For me, my limited OBE's have given me a tiny glimpse into the nature of existence. They have proved to me that my physical body is not required for my consciousness to exist. I know there are people here that would argue it proves nothing of the sort, but for me, I know that I will exist beyond physical death.

I would say that the development of an individuals spiritual character (and that encompasses OBE's, Astral Projection, Dream Analysis, Healing et al) is vitally important to their physical life on earth. One complements the other: the spiritual side of us perhaps helps us recognise the opportunities we have in our daily lives to learn, develop and grow: opportunities that may have gone unnoticed had we not spent time developing this spiritual side.

I've done this, and amazed a guy at work with it too. I've also shown it to my fiance who was and still is a little skeptical.

I just look at the target cloud with a positive/neutral feeling, feel a 'link' stretching between the cloud and my brow and imagine a hot energy dissapating the cloud.

That works for me.

Also, I get a strange swimming effect in my eyes as I'm about a minute into this.

Great post Synergy!

I can empathise with much of what you say. I also recall sleep paralysis incidents as a child and I recall that I saw a shadowy black figure in my room upon waking from a dream when I was about 6. Could this have been 'a dweller on the threshold' type experience?

I started spontaneously OBE'ing about May this year, and I had to tell people, because it was the most profound thing that had ever happened to me. To my surprise, my mum described a phenomena that she experiences which sounded a lot like what Robert Bruce describes as the 'remote eye'.

Luckily for me, my fiance is quite understanding, and she believes me when I recount my experiences. She's even helping me with validation tests!

I think all humans have this ability,  although sadly, I think that most have closed off belief systems. In my case, I've always been interested in parapsychology and the paranormal, but my OBE's have helped steer my life towards a destination that I feel comfortable about. Perhaps that is why they started - to give me the change in direction I needed to make the most of my life journey.

Anyway, great post... I'll have a look at your e-book.

Take care

Hi FrostyRose,

Thank you; there is much wisdom is your words! Perhaps I am a bit lazy as I tend to practice every night in bed before I go to sleep, which I've now read is the worst time.

I'm going to do more morning and lunchtime meditation, starting today.

All my past OBE's have occurred near the time of full moon, so I'm hoping for an experience tonight.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again.

Hi Everyone,

From about May this year I have had some great spontaneous OBE's. After the first one, I was scared which lead me to read Astral Dynamics, Journey's Out of The Body etc and I got over the fear.

I've had a couple more, but my last was mid July.

Despite a lot of energy work and attempts at conscious OBE, I've been unable to experience anything at all. I'm really dissapointed, although the upshot of these experiences has been to positively change the direction of my life. I'm quite happy that I feel more connected to myself and the world around me.

Has anybody else experienced this sudden loss of activity? Do you know how to 'restart' spontaneous OBE's?

Thanks

Matt

in reply to question 3, Robert Monroe says that by acknowledging urges and telling yourself that you'll attend to whatever urge pops into your thoughts after you've acheived your primary objectives, the urge will stop dominating you and allow you to get on with what you were doing.

This has sort of worked for me with irrational feelings of fear. I've yet to test it out on the sexual urge!

Have you always projected so frequently? Do you do any energy wok prior to 'getting out'?

Take care

re: Royksopp - that is a brilliant song. Must go and buy album!

Absolutely fantastic post! Well done. I can't wait to give this a try tonight. Thanks a lot.

Thanks everyone, I'll try the 'looking upward' technique.

Coincidentally, on Saturday I had been at a family wedding, had a few beers (which affects me because I don't drink very often) and after I had got home and gone to bed, I awoke and simply 'fell' out of my body!!

I had no astral vision and was still drunk. Because I didn't feel in control and couldn't see I felt vulnerable and pinged back to body.

Funnily enough, that was the first time I have ever dropped downwards... I usually float up.

Take care

I suffer from migraine and have done from the age of about 12.

I've been having spontaneous OBE's for the past 3 months (basically, since I became interested in the subject and began trying for them). I also recall as a child having some very vivid OBE-like expereiences.

Does anybody else here suffer from migraine?

Incidentally, during my last migraine, I found that NEW Energy Ways excercises had a small but welcome effect in reducing the severity of the attck.

Hi MisterJingo,

Thanks for the response.

Yes, at the beginning of all my projections to date, I have experienced full body vibrations, which to me felt like a huge juddering in my head, a racing heart and a massive amount of vibrations throughout my body.

Perhaps you're right, and my recent localised vibrations are simply energetic movement resulting from my earlier energy work.

#16
Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.

I've had a few OBE's in recent months. They always start when I am awoken with strong vibrations.

Everynight, before I go to bed, I do energy work, activate my chakras and before getting to try my projection techniques, I fall asleep!

Last night I awoke with very subtle vibrations in my arms. I wanted to make them grow so that I could project, but I seemed to think about this too hard, and the vibrations subsided.

I was quite dissapointed by this, as it has happened a few times recently.

Are there any techniques that I could use to increase my vibrations at this stage and then conciously project?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards

Matt

Has anyone read 'A Course in Astral Travel and Dreams' by Belzebuub? It get's good reader reviews on amazon.

Someone started chatting to me on Messenger and was quite pushy asking me to do the courses. Got a sinister feeling about this.

'Dweller on the Threshold' by Van Morrison. In fact, from the title of his album Astral Weeks, and some of the themes running through his songs, I think he is (or was in his younger days) very much into all things to do with AP.

My favourite AP song is 'And She Was' by Talking Heads. The lyrics are so obviously about OBE that it makes me laugh that people I know who really like the song, don't see what it's about!!

And She Was

And she was lying in the grass
And she could hear the highway breathing
And she could see a nearby factory
She's making sure she is not dreaming
See the lights of a neighbor's house
Now she's starting to rise
Take a minute to concentrate
And she opens up her eyes

The world was moving she was right there with it and she was
The world was moving she was floating above it and she was
and she was

And she was drifting through the backyard
And she was taking off her dress
And she was moving very slowly
Rising up above the earth
Moving into the universe
And she's drifting this way and that
Not touching the ground at all
And she's up above the yard

The world was moving she was right there with it and she was
(Hey, hey)
The world was moving she was floating above it and she was

Hey, hey, hey

She was proud about it... no doubt about it
She isn't sure about what she's done
No time to think about what to tell him
No time to think about what she's done
And she was

Hey hey, hey hey, hey!

And she was looking at herself
And things were looking like a movie
She had a pleasant elevation
She's moving out in all directions
Oh, oh oh

Hey hey hey (repeated..)

The world was moving she was right there with it and she was
Hey, woo hoo
The world was moving she was floating above it and she was
Hey, hey

Joining the world of missing persons and she was
Missing enough to feel all right and she was

How about 'And She Was' by Talking Head? This has got to be one of the best.

Hello all.

In the past 2 months I've had my first three projections. Each time I've awoken from sleep with the vinrations, and through will I've projected upward and bobbled about near my ceiling, until I get scared and 'snap' back to my body.

Anyway, I'm no longer scared, and yesterday I tried for a conscious exit. I got some energy sensations, but didn't get vibrations and couldn't exit.

Last night, as I was falling asleep I kept myself awake and thinking as coherently as possible, recognising the beginning of dreams and stopping them.

I had a gap of conscioussness for a few minutes and the next thing, the vibrations started. They weren't as strong as during my previous experiences (I put this down to the fact I've been doing lots of NEW exercises) and I exited really smoothly.

I was excited, so I thought I'd get outside as soon as possible as I really want to go flying!! However, as I willedmyself through my bedroom wall to the hall, I found that as I passed through the wall I was in a 'parody' of my bedroom, where things weren't in the right place etc.

Not to be deterred, I willed myself through the wall again and ended up in another similar copy of my bedroom. This staretd to freak me out so I snapped back.

All in all, I was happy with last nights projection. It was great and left me feeling very happy.

Any ideas what these reality fluxes are all about? And why couldn't I get outside.

BTW, I don't recall having a body, rather I was just a point of conscioussness. Does this mean anything?

Hope you're all well.

Hi All,

Last night I received my first attunement for Kundalini reiki 1, from Stefan Kammerhofer of www.xehupatl.com.

About half an hour before I had arranged to receive it, I performed the LBRP and lay down in my room and relaxed.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical about whether I would feel anything.

I was wrong to be skeptical.

About 10 minutes into the time period, my hands felt as if they were 'vibrating' and my head became very light.

This sensation was then followed by an incredible sensation at the point of my third eye. Words can't describe what it felt like, but I'll try anyway: It was like a 'magnetic' pressure being applied to the point between my eyes, stretching up a little into my forehead. I had a distinct spinning sensation which made me feel as if I were on a giant cartwheel. This lasted for a long period of time and I began to feel a little bit frightened.

It eventually subsided and all the sensations stopped.

I went downstairs to see my fiance, and before I had said anything to her, she asked what the red blotch was between my eyes. I ran to the mirror and coldn't believe what I saw: a red mark about half an inch in length between my eyes - in the exact point where the sensation occurred.

Is this normal? What does it mean, if anything? Has anybody else experienced similar sensations during 'attunement'?

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Many thanks

Matt
