On my most successful AP, I did not see my physical body in my bed.  I looked at the bed and the sheets, and while something did appear to be there, it was oddly blurred and obscured.  But the room was dark...

So I walked over to the light switch... 'click'.  I felt the switch, I heard it click and i thought the room brightened for a split second, but it was still dark.  'Hrm...  the lightbulb must be out again' i thought.  I walked through the doorway of my bedroom and into the bathroom.  My hands feeling the wall for the light switch -- 'click'.  Again, I thought for a second the room got a little brighter but alas it did not.  Then i remembered..  Lights don't work like conventional lights in this place.

Wow  this place is kinda odd, kinda eerie, but not scary.   I looked out the window of the bathroom and found a very different scenery which would not usually exist outside my home - a densly packed residential type setting.   Filled with homes restricted to 3 stories in height -- all houses looked very similar.  All homes were made of brick.  It did look like a chilly night -- a greyish tinge to the air.

I noticed a distant window on one of the houses was illuminated as if someone inside had a light on, and suddenly I appeared inside this home.  The home did not appear as any i have seen before and seemed a little foriegn in design, but nonetheless an every day home.  Very small, kind of english looking, but clean and orderly.  Everything appeared just like it would in the physical.  Hardwood floors with a red throw rug layed down, a sofa and a staircase leading upward.  The white painted brick fireplace was not lite.

I could see into an ajoining room clearly as i was facing the entrance to this room.  A room that looked like a home-library.  A wooden bookshelf on the left wall filled with books from floor to ceiling, a window on the forward wall, and a white painted wall on the rightmost wall.

One lady and one man occupied the ajoining room -- dressed in long pants and woolen sweaters.  Both were sitting in thier own upholstered chairs.  Thier backs towards the bookshelf.  The man i could fully see was closest to the window facing me but seemed involved in the newspaper he was holding.  While i could only see a foot wearing a winter sock of a lady sitting to the rightside of the man and closest to me.  The rest of the 40 year old lady was behind the wall and to the side of the large entranceway of the room she was sitting in.  A small, round, wooden table with a redish/dark brown stain sat between them -- a table used for placing ones drinks upon and a yellow mug sat on this table.  I knew there was tea in that mug.

The lady reached for the mug on the table and at the same time noticed my presence.  She placed her orange covered hardback book on the small table next to her mug and stood, focusing her attention on me.  The mans attention moved from the newspaper to me as well.

They were startled when they noticed me, and i could tell they were partially offended by my abrupt presense.   While they were calm, appeared polite and seemed slightly puzzled  I had the feeling that i wasn't wanted in their home.  So... i tried to leave, but I was experiencing a bit of difficulty with moving around.

I  did want to leave.  Honestly, but i was unsuccessfully in moving to the door which marked the exit to the home.  Being a sloppy AP'r I then knocked over a medium size vase used to hold flowers which stood on a table close to me.  It did not seem to bother them, but it embarrassed me.  I knew they weren't scared of me and they seemed to be compassionate to my ignorance.

The man lightly smiled as if he was chuckling inside without making a sound.  The lady then politely asked me to be on my way and stated that it was rude to have entered.  However, i geuss they could tell that i couldn't move around too well.  I just stood there while trying to will myself off the ground.  The tips of my feet left the ground a few times but came back down quickly.

The lady walked over to the window and motioned me forward and i was able to float over to the window.  She pointed out the window as the point of exit.  I could see the building i came from perfectly.  I  said 'im sorry, but i cant seem to move too well'.  She said 'picture yourself there'.  I tried..  Hovered a little bit and stumbled even more.

As the embarrassment built, i remembered to just wiggle my toe to awaken.  I did so and awoke in my bed, remembering the entire trip.

Any idea where i was?  Is there names placed on each plane of existence?   I thought the people in this newly found world would be distinctly different looking.  They looked very physical to me, and i felt like i appeared as a ghost in thier living room.   Being an amatuer, i wondered if they were physical people (in the sense of everyday reality) and also wonder why they could see me if this was the case.  I wonder if next time i will learn how to move around a little better. :)

I can only guess that my mind interpreted thier true form to something i would understand (even though my mind has physically seen my own spirit vividly one time in the past and is very aware of other entities around me).

My second AP experience was not as vivid nor as lengthy.  I popped out, looked around my bedroom, sat in a chair and tried to see my physical body laying in bed (which i could not) -- then i awoke.

Hello gents and ladies,

Thank you for the AP website!  This is the first website i have visited about AP.  I have read through quite a bit of the messages posted on this board, and have enjoyed the reading of others experiences.

A sudden pressure to figure out my strifes has become overwhelming for the last 2 days and i am compelled to post a message.  So many times have i found that if one simply follows thier heart, answers may be uncovered.  Hopefully someone may be able to lend a hand and offer thier guidance.

I will try my best to keep this post as short as possible even though i have the desire to write a novel.

I have attempted to perform OBE's for roughly 17 years now.  I haven't had much success, only twice have i successfully projected.  Both times around the age of 19.  Both instances were nothing like the NDE i experienced as a child, and while the desire to experience an AP/OBE to see if they were similar to an NDE is gone, i still have the strong desire to learn how to induce an AP/OBE.

Problem is, i can't seem to project too well at all.  I'm not too sure of terminology of many older techniques, but I have tried using the exhale of silver smoke/creation of a bodily form and cord above myself, then concentrate on awakening in that form.  Have tried the concentration of being at a point above my physical self.  Have also tried the ROPE exit (which for me places me in a hieghtened sense very quickly - thank you for this newer technique!).

I can reach the vibration state without much trouble (no problems remaining completely body relaxed and asleep and mind awake) within a few minutes.  The vibration state can be further advanced into what i believe is called the rising of the kundalini(sp?) Where one feels waves of fluidic motion and electical pulses running from an area below the feet to an area above the head and back again -- body is no longer felt at all at this point.  (is this state considered as the kundalini rising?)

I am still very much awake in mind, and can be focused and concentrating on my current state, or think about pretty much anything without breaking the heightened state.

At this point one of many things will happen:

a.  Will simply fall asleep on rare occasion (usually after 45 mins to 3 hours in vibration/fluidic state).

b.  WIll begin to fall asleep (into a dream) then awaken back in vibration state.

c.  Will begin to feel like a very tiny tiny person hovering slightly below the back of my head.  Fall down about 12" out of the back of my head, then bounce to the back of my head again.  Rinse and repeat.

d.  Fully awaken while body is asleep but still in body.  Can see everything around me in 360 degree vision, but unable to move or feel as though i am seperated.  Not maple syrup stuck type feeling, but mind completely awake while body is sleeping and unable to step out or away from body.  Concentrating on instantaneously traveling to another location awakens my body and I fall back into vibration state.

e. Feel a rocking sensation (back and forth) and a pulling/ripping sensation.  This is probably due to me training and attempting to loosen my spirit from my physical self.  Eventually I feel seasick and heightened state abruptly ends.

As for the successes:  I have always heard and felt a buzzing sound which slowly gets louder and louder till it forms into a deafening roar prior to a successful AP.  This noise eventually appears as a physical boundary to pass through before projecting.  Its scary, and kinda painful if i push through it.  However, if i push through this sound barrier, I POP through this barrier of sound and find myself fully awake in a successful AP.  Many times i have faced this boundary of sound and either been too afraid to pass, physically awoken by the intense noise, or proceeded to push through the barrier and awoken in an AP.

I've run out of ideas on how to reach this barrier of sound regularly or how to project by bypassing this sound barrier.  Any suggestions on how to project properly after obtaining the vibration or fluidic motion state would be deeply appreciated!

My love and thanks!
