Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Resting

Just a quick question, is it a good idea to rest a day between NEW training days, sort of like in weight training, where the day off gives the muscles time to heal and grow, would the same principal apply to the energy body, to keep it from becoming too worn out or over-used?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / A question

Hi all,

This is my first time posting here, although I have been reading the posts here for quite a while.  Anyway, I am having trouble with astral projection.  I start out every time right before bed, so I am relaxed, then I make sure I get comfortable, and proceed to do relaxation exercises for a while, until I am good and relaxed.  Once there, I do some "loosening" exercises, (imagining my astral body floating around me, going in circles, up and down, etc.  Although I don't have the book yet, I saw those exercises in Astral Dynamics, though where in the book, I'm not sure.)  All that goes fine, then I start on the actual projection attempt by using the YO-YO method.  Here's the problem.  I start getting strong energy sensations fairly quickly, but my eyelids keep wanting to open, and a couple times, when I've felt that I was very close to an actual projection, I felt this rush of energy, and I opened my eyes and ruined it.  I guess I have another problem too.  Last time I tried projecting, I got really strong energy sensations, but I seemed stuck there, and couldn't get anywhere.  They gradually faded.  How can I keep my eyes shut and break past that barrier that keeps me from projecting?  Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

I've tried (when my eyes open) to focus back on them and close them, but when I do that, I seem to lose the projection.  I'll try that again though.  Thanks.
