   hi selski

I've also noticed that their is little difference between OBE/LD/ASTRAL/PHASING. i have basically stopped trying to label things. In my opinion all of these experiences are more a area of consciousness/concentration then anything else. i stopped questioning the experience and now just enjoy the time "out".  I find that RTZ is different then any of the other types of OBE and astral projection, LD and phasing are very similar. Usually when i record a experience in my dream journal i would label it. I'm trying now to focus more on sensations and getting down every detail in my dream journal, instead of giving it a name like "RTZ".

i have had sleep paralysis with attacks from the same type of being your describing. just like the picture you posted but scarier looking.

I have had a couple eye open obe. in one of them i could i could see both in the astral and in my bedroom at the same time. it was a very strange experience, it was like my vision of the astral and my bedroom was overlapping.

hey all, I have a couple quick questions. Is there such thing as astral projecting to much? if so, what would be a moderate amount of projections per month?

hey bishop, my dog sleeps with me in the bed sometimes and i project with her several times a year. i haven't noticed any problems trying to project while having an animal presence. i also have a pet lizard that has joined me in obe a few times!

maybe just give the medication a chance. it could take months to get adjusted to the new meds. as for the voices, i had ones that seem like friends and also ones that were negative. unfortunately for you to be well, both side of the voices need to go, the positive and the negative. i would start shutting them out, they will eventually have nothing left to say. might take a couple years for them to totally go away. try new hobby's and stuff to keep your mind off of them, also concentration methods could help. i developed my own concentration techniques from meditation. try focusing your attention on getting well.

Hi Frozen Silence, i think i might be able to help you out! :-) i have suffered from paranoid schizophrenia for 5 years. i was on Risperdal also, but now i take omega 3-6 along with balanced diet and exercise. I'm still under my doctors supervision and i see her regularly.

as for the voices and hallucinations i have had my fair share believe me, its scary and would never wish it on anyone. have you every tried talking back to them? I'm serious, like tell them who is boss!! no joke your in complete control. my doctor actually told me to try that, and ever since then the voices are almost all gone! i started talking back to them 2 years ago. when i say talk back to them i mean in you mind, not out loud.

i have learned many techniques to combat allot of the symptoms of the illness, maybe you could be PM me and we could talk about this more. if you feel more comfortable talking on the boards no problem! :-D

hi Psyrek, where i live there are power line directly behind my house(like 50 meters). i haven't noticed being trapped by them during obe or lucid dreams. i do find that when i fly i am aware of them and make a point not to get to close to the lines, or hit them because i think it might bring me back to my body.

hi erynys :-) i don't really see how your post seem fake, but seems like you have a very active imagination. I'm not saying you making up your experiences. i just thought that because i used to have similar experiences when i was young and my imagination was in over drive :-)

Hi orionx,

I don't know much about magic, but i think meditation could help you with this problem. or maybe find things to distract your mind from your spell work, like music maybe.. or like a hobby of some sort...lol. i dunno but i find those things work well for me when I'm dwelling on stuff. :-)

Hi all :-D  i just confermed what i believe to be a validation experience. this validation came from a dream i had on the 23rd of this month, and i had also recorded the dream in my digital voice recorder. ill explain the dream quickly

on 4 23 07 i had a dream about me my buddy tyler and rob. we were in my house and i was smoking weed with tyler, and rob was sitting at the table. i don't smoke weed in waking life ..but anyways i remember rambling on about the weed, then walked over to where rob was seated and noticed that he had a fairly big bag of weed  and he was rolling a joint...but he doesn't smoke weed in real life either because he has sobered up and hasn't smoked for 2 years or so. he had gone to rehab and everything so sobriety has been a big part of his life!

anyways i remember saying to rob "hey.. you have weed to" then he said "yeah" and i said " oh cool". i still didn't clue in at this point that anything odd was happening. so i don't remember much about this environment and the next thing i can remember we were at an arcade. i was browsing around looking at all the different games when i bumped into a friend from high school. right away i became completely lucid and started asking him questions about rob. it was weird because somehow i knew it wasn't my friend from highschool but almost like  a way i could get information, or so it seemed?? it felt like i could ask him questions and he would know the answer to them, so i asked him about rob smoking weed. i said "so rob has been buying weed from you" and he said "yes". then i asked him "is he doing hard drugs" and he replied "nope he doesn't do hard drugs". then i said "so how long has rob been smoking weed for" he said "5 months".shortly after this i had woke myself up so i could record the experience while it was still fresh in my mind.

so today i was at my brothers house and rob was there. we were just hanging out and he lite up a joint!...lol i was like "ROB YOUR SMOKING WEED" he was like "oh i know i started up again"....i asked him for how long has he been smoking for, and he said "a few months". so i said "5 months right?" and he looked at me strange and said "yes just before Christmas".

if anyone has any input feel free to tell me what you think

people find "soul retrievals" productive...more like what
Frank taught...

Hi runlola, what is a soul retrieval?

Anyone have any input as to what is a productive experience in the astral? rather then flying around, exploring and meeting people in the astral.

Lately i have been trying to work on concentration and longevity, so that one day i can have longer and more spiritual experiences. I think i have a problem with creativity when it comes to obe because i have been finding it more difficult lately to think of new things to do.

I was just wondering what people consider to be a productive obe, any comments appreciated! :-)

yeah i agree with rodentmouse7 100% weed can really mess up a persons life. i smoked pot for 9 yeas before i quit!!! i was chronic also, every single day.. when i was a teenager i loved it so much, but once i became an adult i wanted more things in my life besides smoking weed all the time. The main reason i wanted to quit was because i had a spontaneous projection that lead me to persue a more spiritual life, and in my case weed had no part in that journey.

I know what you mean Solas about the sweats and the vivid dreams, the dreams are probably so frequent because weed stops you from having normal REM sleep. You just need some time to adjust. it took me 6 months before i was getting proper sleep, but well worth the struggle in every aspect of my life! :-)

Trust me if can do it you can to!! I was hopelessly addicted to weed, if you had to ask any of my friends 3 years ago if i would ever quit they would say i was hopeless or a lost cause..lol but there the ones still smoking.(and they actually did say those things when i first stopped)

so keep it up.... it gets better everyday, so many pros to quiting weed, and very little cons.....

i can honestly say that i owe everything to my spirituality, and coming on these forums have been a huge part of my recovery from drug addiction :-)

Very interesting. I just arrived in St Maarten April 1st, to join a  38 ft boat across the Atlantic. Have not yet met the skipper but he will be arriving on the 15th. I found out he sunk his last boat down here and just bought this one and have not sailed it for a year as he led me to believe. The guy who does his charter also said he is not a very experienced sailor but a nice guy. The boat is not ready for a crossing no safety equipment inferior coastal radios and tattered jib. He plans on going due west into the trades against current and wind. Hmm

The Atlantic is very big and a scary place . A friend of mine crossed a few months ago and encountered 60 ft seas off the Azores.

Now I need to decide am I afraid or am I using my intuition. Fear is an interesting subject. A lot of fear is imaginary but some is definitely not. The ocean will be the ocean and I think it wise to fear it, for many have drowned in it. Any of you are praying folks or can send me some good energy it will be appreciated. I have a decision to make, based on...............well thats the question.

Regards Mustardseed

Hey Mustardseed,

i think what your doing is truly amazing! i will pray and send lots of positive energy :-)

have a good one!!

Hey Alaskans

I don't know why, but this dream reminds me of legend of Zelda for Nintendo..lol :-D. Your dream recall is very detailed, i not sure what meaning it has tho. I thought it was cool... kinda mystical in a way! :-)

Hi Alaskans,

I too have problems with this groggy feeling when I'm having an obe. I find getting out of the house is the best way to have this feeling go away. always when i exit from my bedroom i have this problem, its like all my senses are diminished, but then soon as I'm outside it always goes away. I usually run as fast as i can to the front door then once I'm on my street i no longer groggy.

As for going threw walls and windows i agree with kiwibonga, just do it!! and let go. A technique i use is i imagine my astral body as a gas or like a plasma and i  can slip threw glass with no problem. You can even imagine a hissing sound kinda like when you push down the button on a cigarette lighter.

hope this helps :-D

Hi DH, thanks for your reply :-)

I too was doing well with my meds, but i always felt like i was hiding behind the medication. My doctor would always say that medication is only temporary and that i should always strive to get off the medication, when i and confident and ready to do so. Now that i have been off them i feel alot better, I'm not as sleepy and i have more ambition. I still have a very long ways to go, and by no means am i "cured".

I feel that the most important things for me is family support and scheduled visits with my doctor. When i first went off of them i had alot of anxiety, but i used deep breathing to calm me down. Fear is the worst it almost feeds the illness. So that is one thing i am constantly working on. I found the more fear i had, the more intense the paranoia and delusions would become.

i dunno tho everyone is different. Going off the meds is very risky, but at the same time antipsychotic medication has some nasty side effects especially after long term use. Its kinda a coin flip in a way, there is pros and cons in both ways of coping with the illness. For me tho this seems like my best option for now, and its working out just fine :-)

hey MIsterJingo,
I agree with you, there is still alot to learn, and i really do think everyone does means well. I also think the medical system can do some good to, it really helped me with the first few years of my illness. i really do feel like I'm on the right path and my doctor supports me 100%.

I think that fear can play a major role with schizophrenia, especially when it comes to voices and delusions. I found that once i started obe alot of my fear was lifted away maybe that is why i have found it easier to cope. :-)

thanks for sorting out my quotes, lol..  i really appreciate it :-D
