the taliban wiped out 99% of the opium trade from afghanistan

Hahahaha You are kidding, right? Come on, you gotta be pulling my leg. Wait a minute; cite a source that isn't biased and which actually uses facts for their information and you might come up with the right answer.

http://opioids.com/afghanistan/opium-economy.html
This website states the Taliban banned the growth of Opium the year before they were removed from power. Convenient.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium_production_in_Afghanistan
wikipedia talks about it.

My point is, what are you trying to say about the taliban? Think deeply before you answer, because I know several people who have died because of the Taliban.

I am by no means racist towards all muslims, but the majority of the world's major problems have been caused by religion. The religion of choice today is Islam. Catholics have been at blame before, as well Jews have suffered for no reason.. Religion is easily the biggest cause of war and suffering. It's just the way it is. I'm not saying all muslims are to blame, nor am I saying there are no muslims to blame. What about the comics that caused world-wide protesting? I don't go out and burn embassies because someone from their country made fun of catholicism.

Of course Islam itself isn't to blame. Neither was Catholicism during the crusades or inquisition. However, it was a major factor. You can argue if you want, but the fact is clear for the eye to see..

The best thing for humanity is to be able to see past religion, and see things for what they really are. I don't judge somebody because they are brown, or have a mohawk, or wear black clothes. I base my opinion on things I have seen and experienced. I don't let people tell me things they think are true, nor do I listen to a book to tell me everthing I should do. Like the Bible, or any other religious book.

If I judge something to be right, even though someone or something tells me it isn't, I trust what I feel inside myself. I don't listen to other people who tell me what to do. It is this ignorance which is giving EVERY religion a bad name. People should make their own decisions, regardless of what someone else tells them is true.

Thank you Jelal, I'm only doing what I hope others will do when I can no longer. Everyone's support helps so much, especially with my deployment starting in 5 months.

I will continue with the exercises, hopefully I achieve more "concrete" results..

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid/visualisation(?)

Several times I've had experiences where my mind gets carried away in my thoughts. Literally.

For example, today I was bouncing around in a LAV (Light Armoured Vehicle) and I was dozing off in the back, even though it was bumpy I was still able to almost sleep. I felt like I was drooling, so I immediately woke up. As soon as I was awake, I felt as if I was something falling down the front of my armour. I could see it with complete clarity, the colours, size proportion (because I was closer to it), and even the folds in the kevlar as I "slid" down. I came to after a couple seconds, but it happened again soon after, I can't remember what I imagined then.

It's happened before, where I've thought of something, only to have it come to life in front of me. It doesn't last long, but I always seem to be dreaming during it. Even though I'm wide awake (kinda).

I'm just curious as to what this is and what I can use it for..

I don't want to come off as if I am attacking vegetarians, or anything like that. I just have an honest question and also an opinion.

I do not see what is wrong with eating meat or drinking milk. I do my best to eat as healthy as possible, I try to limit the fast food I eat, I usually eat 4 or 5 meals a day, drink a lot of water, eat tons of fruit and vegetables.. I eat a LOT of food because of the amount of excercise I am getting, but that's beside my point. I feel the healthiest when I drink a lot of water, eat a lot of healthy food, and keep my high level of fitness up.

I just don't understand why animal products are said to be so bad. Maybe I just haven't been in a position to see exactly how bad they are, but even if I wanted to become a vegetarian, right now I have no choice at all. I could limit the animal products I do eat, but I don't really see why.

Again, I'm sorry if I come off as rude or anything like that, I'm just truly curious.

So if you are cleaning your weapon, think of nothing else (nothing at all) except the weapon you are holding and what specifically you are doing with it.

There are several things that I could do and shut everything out, I will do my best to work on placing all my focus on the task at hand.

Thank you Novice, I will work on that and report back when I start getting better at it.

Hello all! I've been part of this forum for a few months, but I haven't really had time to post or lurk much, which is kind of my situation overall.

I have been very interested in Astral Projection, Meditating, Metaphysics, and almost anything else similar. I haven't been able to have an OOBE yet, although I have been trying, at least I was a couple months ago.

There are a couple things I would like to ask help with, because I'm at a very important time in my life. I'm 19 years old, and I am in the army. I've been training for the last year and a half, and I will continue to train until I go to war in 7 months. With all this training, it leaves little room and energy to try practicing for an OOBE or AP or anything for that matter. I want to put more energy into it, but my current situation leaves little room for anything other than 100% concentration on what I will be doing in the near future. I need to find ways I can still develop spiritually and continue to focus on my training..

My other problem is a little harder to discuss, especially on an open forum. It ties in with what I will be doing half a year from now, and some of the things I can do to cope with it. Feel free to pm me so I can share a few more details, because help would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you for your time, I am open to any advice at all!
