Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid Dream to OBE?
November 19, 2002, 10:41:50
I was having a dream which became a Lucid Dream as normal, and I was feeling bored, so I imagined myself lying in bed and then i rolled over but I started to think what if my phisical body was rolling over because that is what it felt like, but i decided I would only smack my head and wake up if it was my phisical body moving so i carried on.  When i rolled over I fell off the bed towards the floor and floated suddenly to the ceiling, I couldn't see too well and thought i should go explore the house but when i tried to leave my room all i could see was black so i just thought of my body and woke up as normal.

After thinking about this for a while i went back to sleep and quickly found myself in another Lucid Dream and I was eager to try again but I was very restricted in movement and it felt like my head was stuck but the rest of me was floating around.

Anyways the question I am asking is do you think it was a Dream/Lucid Dream or could it have been a real OBE because I can't tell.

Welcome to Dreams! / Hello

Hi my name is Daniel and I am 17, I have been a Lucid Dreamer longer than i can remember, Only in the last 2 years I have realised that Lucid Dreaming is special (special to me anyway) This is the first place I have found that has people with the ability to Lucid dream. I am not a very creative person and I sometimes get very bored in my Lucid dreams so i carry on with the "story" sometimes. In my dreams I levetate, use magic, heal dream charaters, im invincible so if im shot or something it doesn't affect me and i can change the dream landscape. I am very eager to share my experiences and learn from other peoples.  70% of my dreams I know I'm dreaming but i only act on half of them because I find normal dreams fun, but i do use my "powers" of levetation and such to my advantage.

Welcome to Dreams! / What do you do when lucid?
January 04, 2003, 21:01:21
Hello Cainam,
You sound very similar to me i made a similar post to this one ages ago, when i Lucid Dream, I like to fly/levitate, use magic, create money (always fun if you want to mess the with the dream charaters) talk and ask questions to the dream characters, change scenery, normally I can't feel pain although one time I did when i was lucid.  I can really think of weapons and make them appear if i thought of a gun it would give me a plastic one, I think its because I don't like violence.  I do like to create dreams into stories especially if they involve me saying a girl or going on an adventure.  Its very interesting to hear what you do for fun, I hope I've provided other ideas.  Don't forget in dreams you can do things you never get to do in real life, so have fun.   :)

Hello The Long Road,
It Sounds like you started off in a dream/Lucid Dream, have you been watching "Ground Hog Day" :) I haven't encountered waking up in a different dream as many times as you say you did, it only used to happen a few times with me.  It is very interesting you managed to stay in the dream for such a long time, My Lucid Dreams are not very long but i have multiple ones, I have had very detailed Lucid Dreams and I have experienced pain and sadness I once woke up crying which is silly because I'm not a child.  I am not very familiar with Atral Projecting so I can't really tell you about that.  Jumping off a cliff or tall building in a Lucid Dream would normally wake me up or send me into and OBE. Sorry I can not be more helpful but it was interesting to read what you had written, good luck.

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid Dream to OBE?
December 27, 2002, 10:17:28
Hello EndeWiggen, Sorry I have not replied, I havent had much time to visit the boards.  I don't normally use a technique to Lucid Dream as it comes naturally to me, but when I am not up to Lucid Dreaming I would repeat the words "am I asleep or am I awake" while I am awake, i would repeat this a few time and then check that I was awake. I would do this a few times a day and after a while I would start asking myself it in my dreams.  Sometimes I couldn't prove to myself I was in a dream but I was Lucid.  Lately I have been scared of going from a Lucid Dream to an OBE because if I use the Rolling Over Technique (Nice name isn't it :p ) I am scared i will suddenly wake as i'm rolling over and make my body to roll over and end up hitting my head on the bed side table.   I am sorry again for not replying.

Hmm I find this topic similar to experiences i've had, but the experiences are when i am trying to get to sleep, normally I feel the Jolting twice a night before I fall asleep, I always considered it normal but i'm very releaved to know what it is, if it is that.

Oh dear I'm such a freak, hehe, I had another Lucid Dream last night and theyre becoming more frequent, I don't mind but being concious in nearly every dream is making me ill I think.  I don't mind too much but my imagination is rubbish, I tend to keep doing the same thing over and over in my Lucid dreams.
Well i have had my rant and i feel a little better.

I am not sure what projecting is but i will definitley look it up, I have tried going from a Lucid Dream into an OBE, I'm not exactly sure what happened but I will probally write about it later.  I did kill a few dream charaters, even though it was a lucid dream I only did it as self defense.  I don't bother with the dream charaters much because they are very dull.  I tend to just explore the dream place, I had a Lucid Dream last night so I just went around going into peoples houses and having a look around, they should learn to lock their doors.   :)

Thanks.  I don't really use a  for tecnique do induce lucid dreaming because as soon as im sleeping i know im dreaming and i choose whether to act on it or play along with the dream, I think its bad for me to be Lucid all the time and that is why i really enjoy it when i have a "normal" dream.  One way of inducing Lucidity I found on a website was to ask yourself if you are dreaming at different times of the day, then hopefully if you do it often enough you will ask yourself in the dream and you will become Lucid, one other way I know of is to read the same bit of text twice, in a dream the text is never the same if read twice.  I did have trouble once because I couldn't tell if I was dreaming, I was wandering around my house asking if i was dreaming and I couldn't find one bit of evidence to prove i was dreaming.
