Thanks for the answers everyone.  I'm glad it hasn't happened for a little while so I'm feeling a bit better now  :-)

Thanks for the reply.  I think it was more in the sleep state that I was shaking and it just shocked me so much it woke me and took me a few seconds to snap out of it.
Nevertheless it could be anxiety too though.  I'm glad for some input in any case  :-)

Hello everyone, I hope I'm putting this in the correct place  :|

Anyway I went on a search and found this forum and am really hoping that someone will give me some advice.
A little bit of backround.  I have an anxiety disorder called GAD with panic attacks and am doing well but lately I've been having some freaky experiences.  I've been having bouts of sleep paralysis and hynopompic hallucinations and false awakenings.  This is not a continual thing but bothers me a bit.  Anyway I tend to dream a lot where I know I'm dreaming but I'm not sure if this is lucid dreaming or not because sometimes I don't have full control.
So to his mornings story. I woke up at 04.00 am and could not get back to sleep until about 07.00am.  I was dreaming that I was in a classroom and the weird thing is that I was convinced this was really happening.  In the classroom I wanted to answer one of the teachers questions and tried talking but it came out all slurred and garbled and I felt like I was going to faint.  The teacher said oh no you have forgotten your heart equipment so you will die.  (I know this sounds deranged but please bare with me :-o) so for some reason I decided to just die, the next thing my whole body felt like I was sinking and I was vibrating from top to toe, I could hear a sqealing noise and very distant voices.  It was the strangest feeling I've ever had in my life.  I then woke up and my body was still shaking.  I felt like I landed on the bed with a thud.
I would appreciate any imput please.  I'm very worried.
