I think people who don't AP shouldn't be forced into learning how to do it or even of its existence in the first place. Nor should the people who can AP, be told that they cannot.

Dude, I totally agree...  I found out about all this just this week, but I just happened to come across it on my own, through a bizarre series of events.  It's without a doubt a personal thing.

Before this week, if ever someone asked me what astral projection was, the only thing that would come to mind would be a low level wizard spell from Dungeons & Dragons.  But after hearing this ridiculously off-the-wall yet somehow highly believable interview with William Buhlman on a radio show on coasttocoastam, coupled with an accumulation of a lot of weird, seemingly related events that happened to me recently, I basically became convinced that this was something I've been able to do my entire life, yet was completely blind to it.  So today, being payday, I decided to blow some money on "Mastering Astral Projection: 90-Day Guide to Out-of-Body Experience".  I was initially looking for one of William Buhlman's books but unfortunately I was only able to get it by ordering it.  So, impatient like I am, I decided to go with the only one they had that seemed to be relevant.  At first I thought the book seemed rather lame and it came across as a cheap self-help or weight loss program.  But after reading the intro, it seems to be the perfect guide for a beginner, so come 3 months, I'll see if it was thirty bucks well spent.  If it proves to be just a huge load (which I'm getting more and more convinced that it isn't), well, at worst I'll have learned relaxation techniques, how to clear my mind, and maybe even how to lucid dream, which, IMO isn't all that bad.  But, if I do phase out to another dimension, I'm throwing a retarded, insane astral party and everyone's invited!

Anyways, if you've gotten this far, thanks for reading, and I think it's cool of you guys to have started a community like this!

BTW, here's the link to the radio interview (8 parts, 10 minutes each):

Anyway, take it easy, and happy travels!
