Usually when people attempt things like that, they place the object to be acted on under a container to minimize possible air disturbances.

What are your goals in practicing this?

Just practicing making ki balls and seeing them with my third eye, ill make stronger one's and practice on bigger objects

It will matter of your age, like i'm 14 and i induce sleep paralysis just before my bedtime and it takes me 5 - 10 minutes.

I recommend sleeping 4 - 5 hours waking up early like 3-4 am and then going into sleep paralysis because all your energy is recharged and its easier to go into sleep paralysis.
