In my most conscious experience I was as conscious as I am right now typing this. The environment was also quite vivid, clear and the colours were very bright. I remember looking at something (a tv on top of a small table) and asking myself how "real" and detailed was it compared to waking life perceptions, I was amazed at how much detail and simple beauty it had. The people there, the sky, everything... was simply as intense as it got for me.  :-)

I was also atleast once in a sort of almost cartoonish world but not really, I say this because the colours were so intense and vibrant it actually seemed like I was inside some hyper realistic animation.

facinating! :D

anyone else?

What is the clearest most conscious experience you have had in the astral? how did it feel? how conscious was it compared to normal waking life? how was it more conscious than other AP experiences?
#3
Anyone else have anything to add? and are you sure about the vibrational devices?

I believe there are devices out in the market which emulate this exact kind of thing.

There is? you sure? can you point me in the right direction here?

Just had an idea which I thought could possibly trick the body into having the vibrations to exit from. Tell me if you think its any good.

I thought before you went to bed you could attach 2 vibrating devices to the bottom of your feet before and don't have them turned on but have them set on a timer so they both start to vibrate around 6 or so hours later (when your asleep probably in REM stage) this way when your asleep you can feel the vibrations (very low and not high to prevent waking up) and you may be prompted subconsciously to think these are the real vibrations thus then the body would prompt itself to cause the real vibrations to start throughout the body. Then if you gain any form of lucidity you can use an exit technique to leave your body.

What do you guys think? not a bad idea or stupid? its tricking your body basically to think its the real vibrations and therefore would create its own.

So in my previous post someone mentioned this method I just wanted to find out exactly what it is. What is this waking up method exactly? I guessing obviously you try to go into an OBE the second you wake up but why must you keep dead still? and does it matter if you wake up on your side?

Please someone fill me in on the exact needs for this method.

What is generally a better more reliable way to AP from? is it from a lucid dream or just normal awake state? what is the generally the most powerful and reliable method? what do you think is best and why?

For experienced projectors: have you ever actually asked anyone like spirit guides or whatever in the astral if what you are experiencing is real and not just all in the mind? what sort of responses and info did you get back.

This is good although something always confuses me with verification RTZ experiments. Why is it that one is able to pick up or handle these verification objects such as card etc. If a RTZ is really a RTZ then a person who is out of their body should be in 'ghost form' so to speak and not have the ability to touch or handle any seemingly RTZ objects such as cards or whatnot. How is this possible?
I hoping someone else can answer this.

I not trying to rain on your parade or anything but this is something that bugs me a little. It convinces me more that the supposed RTZ is nothing more than a psychological hallucination which includes the illusion of touching and handling things. This account is still interesting though.

Thx so far. So anyone actually tried it?

I Just had to ask: is there a way to find out out possible alternate outcomes in your life? I mean could you go back to an event in your life in the astral and see another version of it had a choice been different? what you would be doing I guess is viewing another timeline based on a different decision or even non-decision and seeing what would have happened differently. Is this possible?

Anyone experienced such a thing?

Happy new year everyone by the way.

It doesn't really matter what we believe or say.
What do YOU think?

These kinds of comments really irritate me. Can't people just answer properly rather than this kind of annoying stuff. I am asking all of you on your views on this.

So I am open minded and think projection could be either spiritual OR solely psychological. I came across someones explanation of what an OBE and just wanted your views on if you think this is true and if you think not then why not:

'An OBE is caused by inducing a seizure in the temporoparietal lobes of the brain--you do not "really" come out of your body. You go into a dissociated state and have a mind trip. Although normal people can train themselves to make this happen, it also happens in people with epilepsy and schizophrenia.'

Not an entire lifetime. I was older when it started but saw myself aging throughout the years. So was everyone else around me.

I would say it was a span of about 30 years.

So you lived 30 years in a few hours or so? pretty amazing.

It was spontaneous. I just stayed consciously aware the whole time. It happened during a LD/NPR event.

The weird thing is, I was "energized" the next day. I couldn't wait to post it. I thought I would be dead tired from that adventure.

was it REALLY a lifetime? I mean with how long it seemed you was out there for.
#16
Didn't someone already do this? I recall someone on here talking about living an entire lifetime in a single astral projection session. Maybe someone can fish the story out sometime I don't remember a lot of it or where exactly it was on here but I know someone definitely did do it.

I think in theory its possible but you would really have to be EXTREMELY good at staying in the astral world.
#17
If you get lost enough and keep your body still enough for approx 45 mins to an hour to the point where your body feels numb and non existant, are your chances of OBE increased? I hear the more you feel dissociated from your body then the better your chances are to project.

lol 'light stream wand' LOL!! sounds real creative and all but I personally think its bulls...  well you know what I mean. :)

No sorry to shoot you all down but this is not the case. I get the fast heart rate when I am first starting to relax to attempt to project and is my real heart this is not something like a hallucination that starts when I find myself in Theta or Delta or whatever.

You can still ap with a fast heart rate.   There is another forum where they teach you to focus on the heart and to ap.

You can still project with a fast heart rate? I thought it would essentially interfear as the body would not be in the trance or deep relaxation state if the heart is going fast so there be no projection. You sure of this? what is this other forum also where they teach you to focus on heart rate to project please.
#21
So when I relax with the main ultimate goal to eventually project I often find I get nervous and my heart actually beats faster which makes things akward. Does anyone have the same problem? how do you slow your heart beat down?

Also if you have a fast heartbeat does that basically mean you won't project?

So I am starting a strict OBE series of things and exercises to help me project and wanted your views on my plans and idea's. Feel free to say if you think something won't work.

Hypnosis - I plan to use a 40 minutes hypnosis track everyday or every other day to "drum it into my subconscious" to project. I have found in the past when doing techniques I am always too wary of wondering when the time to project is coming. I will be using binaural beats or some other technique and when I feel I am making progress in my mind I will be wondering if its the right time which totally ruins the process. I feel if I have my subconscious "pre-primed" enough to project due to messages being put in my head to do so after weeks or months of hypnosis audio, then I should be able to let go a lot more and have it happen when my body and mindstate is right.

When I use the hypnosis tracks I really don't expect to OBE there and then but I do figure they are helping prime my subconscious for future obe attempts. The subconscious I do believe plays a huge part in everything we do.

Lucid Dreams - I also am going to change my sleeping pattern to try to project from a lucid dream. If I sleep at night for 5 hours then wake up for 10 minutes then go back to sleep for say 3 hours then the chances are my dreams will be more lucid which could be possible to project from.

So this is my basic plan right now. What you guys think? does it have potential?

what bout if eyes half closed?

That's the beginning of projecting with your eyes open.  The problem comes when the distortions cause your field of vision to change, and you end up blinking ruining the experience.  Projecting with your eyes open, while would be EXTREMELY difficult (you'd have to be able to ignore all visual stimulus), isn't outside the realm of possibility.  :)

what are these distortions? can you explain them more please. You think this would work staring at a flame?

also have you projected like this before? how did it happen please if you did.

Have you? what happened? were you trying? please only answer if you have.
