Very well written majour ka, couldn't agree more.

I believe we have all chosen to be here. We have decided to grow and this life is our chance to do so. Maybe the only one, who knows.

Great post man. The universe is far from solid, calm place that we like to think it to be. Everything that we perceive with our senses is essentially a vibration of certain frequency. What we perceive as 'solid' is actually moving with speeds so absurd that we're unable to detect. Which makes me think. We're stuck in the middle of this vibrational chaos, limited to a very small part of the scale (technology widens it a tiny bit) of detectable vibration. We can't perceive anything out of bounds of our own frequency, so I suppose if it is possible to heighten your own vibrational level you could perceive much more. And possibly become invisible at a certain point.

I like to think of the world as one giant equalizer. Whatever is done in it, the equalizer ...well, equalizes it. Like a string on a guitar, you pick it and it will vibrate for a certain amount of time and after that it will stop. Same thing happens with whatever we do: action -> reaction -> cooldown. My point is that whatever the 'great plan' might be everything always comes down to the same basic procedure.

I think there is but one thing in the Universe that defies vibration, and that is our consciousness.

Hey Tiger, nice to see you here.

hi catmeow nice nick btw :)

Yes I believe consciousness is not of physical nature. Even science agrees that there's something fishy about it. They haven't explained its origin, they haven't pinpointed its location in brain and they have no clue what is making it run. For all they care consciousness doesn't even exist. They see human as a biological machine of same predetermination as computers, electrons running around colliding with each other, I see it differently. In my opinion the brain is only a medium between the physical realm and the consciousness. That's why I don't believe we could ever make Life from the physical realm (in fact I consider it extremely paradoxal as I see consciousness as the basis of physical realm). There's a natural way of doing it and its pretty fun too. :-D

Just wanna throw in my 2 cents ....

AI is impossible. You cannot make a computer-based consciousness, due to 2 main reasons:
1) a consciousness far transcends the binary system of computers, in all aspects
2) there is no way to artificially create a soul (ask greys they'll tell you :-))

A computer could never go about making things up because of the way it works, predetermined with true/false logic. A computer will always choose on a basis of various options and rules. You can make a computer "learn" new things by imputing new options and new rules, but a computer can't DECIDE for itself. A human (or any other living being) on the other end can make up decisions for himself. He can choose something and he can make a totally different thing out of it, even without any opinions or rules from other ends. Comparing computers to consciousness is much like comparing a skateboard with the entire universe. One can do miracles in right hands but is still fairly limited to its own existence, and the other one is a miracle in itself.

In my opinion there's no way to create an AI in the Terminator sort of way. The furthest you could go is making a computer that could programme itself and input new rules on its own. Then the computer would be partly capable of solving problems that aren't already calculated in advance. Maybe in the end, a Star Trek sort of android like Data, but that's very far fetched and unreal at the moment. As for creating a consciousness like our own out of "nothing", well good luck with that. :-)

The problem with this question is that we don't really know what the question is. We seek meaning but what do we really want to know? In some way we want to justify our existence. And the way we want to do it, using rational judgment and words to describe it, we are only digging a hole and the question remains. If you're asking for purpose of life, yes I agree fully the purpose is to learn and experience. But if you're talking about meaning in a "why we exist" sort of way, then I cannot answer you. The nature of existence is something I don't think we will ever fully understand. It is unexplainable, lacks logic and is a paradox for any scientist out there. The mere fact that we exist is fantastic, and should be treated with up most respect. In fact every moment spent without appreciation and clarity is a moment lost. The world is a mysterious place, and what makes it even more mysterious is that we have absolutely no idea where we are from or what are we supposed to do here. We have to figure it out on our own, that's the tricky part, and the fun part as well. Some things you just don't know. You don't get to know, and it is supposed to be like that, don't ask me why. :)

Life is a fantasy, a river of emotions, an ocean of thoughts and actions and reactions. There's only two ways to go about it really, you can either make yourself happy or you can make yourself miserable, the amount of work is the same.

Just stumbled upon the site and decided to register ...

Anyways, hi all, my name is Daniel, I'm from Slovenia, student, I'm interested in meditation and everything spiritual in general. I believe in peace, rhythm, harmony. I love Carlos Castaneda's teachings. What else emmmm I love music, it is what I understand best. I hope I'm gonna someday make something big out of it. I am a vegetarian. And my favorite color is violet. Or orange. Not decided yet. I'm also active on some other metaphysical communities, some of you might already know me from them.

Peace out!
