Then if we are projecting into "a dream" that is subconciously created to look like reality, where do the stories of traveling to places they've never been or seeing people they know at their house come from?

That would be fine too though, but the problem is everytime I realize the TV's faded out or that I'm dreaming, the TV comes back fully and I wake up. It's like I'm trying to force myself not to fall asleep and I'm remembering when I notice I'm dreaming, "Oh that's right we should be up." Even if I really don't have anything to do ):

I'm sure others have experienced this same thing. I'll take a nap but with the TV still on as well as other things, and I can still hear everything but it sort of drowns out and I start dreaming. It seems just like random thoughts but it's a dream. When I finally realize it's a dream I suddenly hear the TV perfectly, lose the dream, and wake up. If I try to reestablish the dream it just seems like I'm forcing myself to think about certain things. Any help would be appreciated (:
