This forum obviously endorses certain cults while condemning others and telling people 'find your own way'.

This is a very important topic. In my opinion, goingslow was right to address this in public on this forum. To ban him because of that without giving him the chance to explain his opinion seems a bit unfair to me.

Adrian, I was wondering about your following quote:

quote:

You are entitled to your opinion of course, and as you know we allow people considerable lattitude to voice opinions here, but I cannot or will not allow anything which is slanderous and is stated as a fact in very large letters rather than as an opinion.

Adrian, I really have to ask you for an answer on this. I hope you don't mind it too much. Please tell us members of this forum why we cannot see you marking your quotes as your opinion, when you are writing on this new age subject. During my time in this forum, I couldn#8217;t avoid noticing that almost everything in your post I read regarding this matter was expressed as a fact, even the two replies you wrote to my own rare posts.

If you believe in this Pleiaidian stuff, I don't mind it. But please mark it as your opinion and don't misuse your position as an administrator of this forum. Anybody in such a position as yours should be especially cautious.

I have to say it, but according to my view, this whole Pleiaidan stuff is so much new age and new age cult that nobody can really deny it. Most of it is based on thoughts of cults like the 'Ground Crew Project' or the 'Planetary Activation Organization'. I really don't understand why so many people are believing in stories like the ones of Sheldon (Sheldan?) Nidle, David Icke and Pamela Stonebrook, who just make a living at the costs of easily influenced people. Ok, they are suspense-packed stories, but they are also brain-less stories, which are put together badly.

I recommend people who are frequent readers of their or similar stories to read a scientific texts for a change. There is a pretty good one about new religious UFO movements at:

//http://www.uni-marburg.de/religionswissenschaft/journal/mjr/ufogruen_main.html

To make one thing clear. Nobody, not Adrian and not anybody else needs to ban me, because of what I've written above. If it is not possible in this forum for a forum member as goingslow to address such an important topic, it doesn't make sense to me to be a part of such a forum any longer. Which is sad somehow.

This was my last post here.[8]

Greetings to everyone who is also fed up with this Zeta, Pleiaidan UFO stuff!

Welcome to Astral Chat! / You cant save anyone
August 28, 2003, 15:24:10
You can save someone, but you cannot be saved. That is my idea of it.

According to my view to save someone or rather to save yourself means to cause a certain likelihood to happen that includes you being alive right now. You have to pick that likelihood all the time.

Why would you like to save someone or something? I think, because you love someone or something and because you feel responsible. To love and to be responsible means to act self-determined. Self-determination on the other hand means that you have a free will.

The tricky thing is that we do not just have the free will to save someone, but we also have the free will to not save anyone. We have the choice to not make use of our ability to save ourselves, to keep us alive. We have the choice to die.

Unfortunately most people do not see that they make choices in this regard every moment. They don't see how their choices determine the world, their world and the world around them. They do not see their responsibility for their life and for this universe. Why? Because they do not love.

To stay alive means to love. To love yourself means to save yourself. Someone might argue, that we all love, that just some people are not aware of the fact that they are loving beings. But I think, that this just shows everybody's potential. The free flow of love is necessary to make use of someone's love, to make use of someone's potential. Only freely expressed love can save yourself or save the world.

A heart full of love makes it easier to choose a likelihood. It makes it easier to choose life. As more people are expressing their love freely, as higher gets the probability of this world to survive, to have possibilities to develop in future and to surpass itself again and again.

You cannot force anyone to love, i.e. you cannot save anyone. But the thing you can do is to love even the people who do not love, who do not believe in this world. The nice thing is that through the experience of being loved a person can recognize his/her choice that he/she can love as well.

Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Shields.
August 25, 2003, 16:25:35
Hi Nayru,
I might disappoint you, cause I won't name certain shielding devices in this post. But I hope that none the less its briefness the following is helpful.

Many people are convinced that shielding is very essential. Somehow the forum title 'Psychic Self Defence' even implies that there is a need to defend yourself. But I disagree. In my opinion shielding sucks. It is a nice tool to mark and protect a training ground. It can be a haven in which you can develop your skills as long as you are unfamiliar with your environment, with yourself, with your energies, your emotions and your capability to deal with them. However, it is a crutch you actually should get rid off as soon as possible. Unfortunately people get used to this crutch and fail to keep its side effects in mind. Instead of getting rid off their shields little by little they are developing and strengthening them.
The major side effects of shields are their energy consumption and their affect on someone's clarity to see and perceive reality as it is. But the most important side effect shows itself in case of an attack on someone who does shielding. It is environmental pollution [xx(]. Of course, you might argue that the deflection of negative energy into the environment seems to be the better and healthier choice. A sacrifice you have to make in order to avoid an injury or getting hurt. But there are other and better ways to deal with an attacker.

One is a bit tricky and reminds me on a character in a Japanese anime called 'Dirk Side'. It is to absorb the energy of an attack. You need a very calm mind for this. A mind which is concerning emotions smooth as glass. A mind that is able not to react on thoughts and feelings. A mind that does not cling to an 'I'. A fearless mind that is not assuming that the conscious part of ones self is this notion of 'I' and that this 'I' needs to be protected and pleased. Such a calm mind wouldn't give an attack a handle. The attacking flow of energies and emotions will enter such a person, but as long as this person doesn't react on them, they won't be able to harm. Instead they will transform into something different, lacking any negative quality. This digested energy can be safely drained of into the environment or it can be used internal for strengthening reasons.

Another method is less tricky, though it can be unpleasant for a beginner. Just as the method above it's main emphasise is to make a connection between you and your attacker. If you use a shield, you are deepening the separation between you and your attacker, strengthening the blindness of your mind through which you are watching each other, watching each other in a distorted way. The thing is to search for the energy level of your opponent on which this person is a loving being. But it is not just a searching, you have to move yourself on that level. This can give rise to aversion and may feel disgusting, but as long as you don't give up, you are going to find that level or state of mind. As soon as you have found it, as soon as you are able to see that the other person loves, send as much love as you can. There will be no space for doubt or fear. There is just love. Try to overflow this person with love and see what will happen.
You should try this technique in advance. Just pick people in your surrounding, choose people around you you least like. This will make it easier for you to apply this method in future.

Of course the greatest way to avoid any attack is love and trust. Do not think that your conscious part of your mind is going to save you, e.g. by means of a shield. As one of the greatest mind scientist put it into words, the sub consciousness always protects the consciousness (Milton H. Erickson). It is not the other way around. Learn to trust and to let go. Trust your sub consciousness and trust and love this world. Wu-wei tzu-jan. This way you will fight similar to an experienced Tai Chi practitioner. There just happens no attack and it seems like you are having a cushy job [:)]. Wo-wei-erh-wei.

FEAR is one of the key motives in many peoples lives. Many people are looking for safety and protection just everywhere. They are training themselves in Martial arts or they are accumulating weapons to protect their homes or they are saving money for their pensions, but the more they are doing these things the more is at stake. So the more they are doing these things the less they feel secure. The only solutions seems to be to try things even harder.

Many people are not aware of their emotions and their motives. They are not aware of the fact that they are fearful and that their behaviour is partly driven by fear and a craving for safety. At some point, an increase in insecurity can lead them to a condition in which they no longer want to be exposed to an alien and an insecure looking environment. They want to have an influence on things, an influence on their environment. When these people get in touch with Martial arts they are not going the way of a budoka. They are not practising to become a warrior who combats with his own ego. These people are practising Martial arts to make themselves stronger, to make their ego stronger and to protect it. Unfortunately a strong ego is out of touch with the world, but on the contrary is convinced that it knows exactly how reality should look like. If things are not according to its views it wants to shape them, shape its surroundings and its environment according to its view and expectations by forcing its will on the world.
However, these people notice that ever increasing forces in their surroundings are counteracting their efforts to influence the world, a world which seems so alienated and separated from them. This increases their fear.
Cainam naziers wrote 'the average individual doesn't have a clue how easy it is' to dismantle a person.' These people who train Martial arts because they are driven by fear, are beginning to realise how fragile the human body can be, how fragile they are. They just want to protect themselves, but the more force they use the stronger the forces are getting who are working against them. Thus, they are getting fearful and aggressive and they are getting more and more convinced that by using some more tricks, moves and techniques they are finally getting things as they want them to be. Temporarily they might even think that they have created safety. But shortly their subliminal fears are getting stronger again, moving them to act and fight again. It seems they are all fighting the hydra. Every head they cut of is instantly replaced by two new heads.
Have you ever wondered why a hero character is facing an even stronger opponent as soon as he has dismantled or killed the current one?

To judge these people or even condemn them as negs would be unfair. They are still humans, they are still convinced as any other person that what they do is right and good for them, good for the world. They just interpret the world totally different than a person who is in touch with his emotions with his body and his mind processes. According to that, they come to different conclusions about reality and all the events they witness.

To put it in a nutshell. Practising Martial arts does neither necessarily lead to an aggressive state of mind nor does it automatically increase anyone's awareness. It is your choice what effect it will have.

If you are afraid that Martial arts will affect you adversely, just use some other technique that trains your mind and body as well as your energy body. Just use a technique like Yoga, Qi-Gong, Tai-Chi, Falun Gong, NEW or even Psychocalisthenics Exercises as in Patrick Holfords book '6 weeks to super health'. Just choose whatever suits you best. The funny thing is that at some point you might not even need a specific classical technique anymore. If you have increased your awareness to some point and are also increasingly trusting your sub consciousness, you can let your sub consciousness teach you your own technique.

One answer for two questions: Trust your senses.

To answer your first question. You will notice it, when you are forcing it too much. If you are familiar and aware of your body and your mind processes you will notice it at the right moment. So, no panic! And even if you are overdoing it, you can learn a lot by making mistakes. See mistakes as a chance when they happen, don't fear them.
Just stop your energy work, if it is getting too painful. It doesn't matter if an unpleasant experience like pain is the result of clearing a blockage or excessive energy work. Give your body some rest in that case. Soon you will know, if a blockage was cleared.

To give you a brief answer to your second question. You will definitely be aware of the conditions of your chakras, if you are regularly doing energy or body work. Try it by yourself and you will know what happens...

Love and light,
breeze

If you are developing your energetical system or healing yourself, you shouldn't be afraid of pain.

Thank you Adrian for clarifying this. Especially your last sentence sounds very convincing. On the other hand I still have doubts concerning this.

It doesn't make sense to me that everything you wish to happen in the physical manifests in the astral. For example, a pretty good thing that works (especially necessary when you are having a busy schedule) is to wish to get somewhere right on time. How can this manifest in the astral? I mean last week I was stuck in the endless rush-hour traffic on the M4 on my way to London Heathrow Airport but I knew that I would get my flight to Germany cause I had wished for it in advance. I mean at some point it really didn't look like it at all and I was beginning to have doubts, but finally I got there right on time.
Did this whole scenario take part in the astral first[?]

I rather tend to believe in probabilities. During my journey many different futures were possible. There were definitely some in which I didn't catch my flight. But with my intent and my wish to get there on time I just increased the likelihood of a certain future to happen.

Maybe I should add that I do not just wish something to happen. I rather ask god and the world for a favour and I strongly believe that this favour is granted as long as it is in harmony with the world and doesn't harm anyone.

Best regards,

There is a fundamental distinction between Intent and its effects within the Physical plane; and Intent and its effects within the Astral.

According to my view the differences between the effect of intent in the astral and the physical dimension are merely based on interactions in these dimensions.

Many astral worlds are vast and extensive, i.e. not in the sense of space but in the way how interactions between individuals are taking place.
Although the astral dimensions are real, a lot of things in the astral which we perceive are just part of our imagination. You could set up an entire kingdom in the astral, including the imagination or creation of the inhabitants, the landscape and cities. Just by intent you can travel from one place to the other, let it rain or alter your environment. The influence of other individuals on your perception can be very little.
The physical is a completely different place. On earth we are living not in our personal kingdom, but in a shared place. The interactions and interferences between individuals is extremely high and very dense. In this world a person is not more or less dependent on factors as his/her own beliefs, views, expectations, motives, wishes and intentions. He/she is also dependent on expectations, beliefs, wishes of his/her fellows and his/her society. In the physical dimension we are forced to experience in a far greater way as in the astral, how we are interconnected with others.

The funny thing is, even in this dimension it is possible to alter things, speed up healing processes, influence the weather and so on. Among other things a light but powerful intent, a strong belief and love for this world are necessary, imagination is very useful. But a strong desire, a craving for something or anything related to the ego will make your intent awkward, give it a hard and inflexible quality which prevents it to flow within this world. This flow (or world) is made by billions of beings. Be in harmony with this flow, love it, accept it, let it influence you and you may influence it. You need to accept the fact, that your intent doesn't fit with the flow and might not become real, at least not as soon as you want it to happen. Fill your heart with love, let it shine and this whole thing will get easier every time.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Mark of the Devil?
February 02, 2003, 15:37:43
No offence, but is this only my imagination or do the posts under this topic look a bit greyish?

I am quite new to this forum. I thought that it was meant to exchange ideas and to give other people a lift and not to trade heavy thoughts that can weigh down someone. Or is this just a kind of horror stories for grown-ups?

I doubt that Johannes could have any knowledge of Microsoft or bar codes. His book was written for his time and not ours.

Johannes revelation is written during a time when emperor Domitian was trying to strengthen the cult of the ruler. A cult which popped up first with Alexander the Great. The Christian community was excluded from this cult just as long as it was titled a Jewish sect. But getting independent of the Jewish sect the special laws didn't apply to them any longer. Thus, Christians came into conflict with Roman law and the Roman authorities. As a member of the Christian community Johannes wanted to strengthen his people with the help of a book. A book which has many of its roots in the "Apocalyptic" an intellectual trend during the time of early Judaism.

The interpretation of the number 666 is still an unsolved mystery. It is easy to convert a name into a number, but it is very difficult to convert a number into a name. Especially if you don't know the alphabet which was used. Was it the Hebraic, Greek or Latin? However the most common interpretation is based on the Hebraic and is "Nero Cesar".

To get his message right Johannes even used a unique theology. Differently from the rest of the New Testament he pictured god as a ruler of all who sits enthroned in an unapproachable holiness. Apart from Christ all other creatures stay in a respectful distance.

The apocalyptic removes the influence of god on the presence. The presence is left to evil powers. Thus, under the control of evil any commitment or support for human beings gets useless or absurd.

I think this whole Johannes revelation is just rubbish. It does clearly form a contrast to what reality is. Most people in this forum should know this. As gods children we have nothing to fear and can have an indescribable nice life in this world. Please don't scare others who haven't discovered that yet. They easily get meaningless gossip wrong.

Sorry, maybe I am a bit too serious concerning this matter.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The Quantum Wave effect
February 02, 2003, 12:21:08
To begin with, I don't know Homeworld.

I guess, someone trying to alter the quantum ether around him to travel through a quantum wormhole would just mess up our part of the galaxy.[:D]
Charles Choi wrote an interesting article concerning this which you can find on New Scientist Online.
According to him this operation would be very delicate. Any matter travelling through a quantum wormhole will add positive energy to it and would collapse it into a black hole. As a solution you might be able to make use of ghost radiation, a negative energy field or ether. This could be used to offset the positive energy of the travelling matter. With the right amount it should prevent the wormhole collapsing. But add too much negative energy and the wormhole will briefly explode into a new universe that expands at the speed of light.

Another problem is the place you are going to travel to? Is there air? Is there the right gravity for survival?

Ok, these obstacles shouldn't prevent anyone to strive to do space journeys. Just try to do it in a more sophisticated and comfy way.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Rehabilitation/Metaphysics

Sorry, I'm not sure if ,,sound bowls" is the appropriate English term. Maybe there are called acoustic bowls.
You need another person at best someone who is experienced in carrying out this kind of treatment and owns at least more than one bowl so that he or she can choose the right one for you. Bigger bowls can be placed on you breast, your tummy or even your knees. You should lay down on your back for this and just relax.
You can create powerful vibrations with this kind of bowls which easily spread out across your body cause your body is made of 80% water. That way you are giving a fine massage to every cell and are harmonizing your organs which has the consequence that your body is stimulated to tune into its own frequency. This is definitely a pleasant experience.
A previous energy treatment as Reiki has the benefit that your energy pathways are cleared and your energies are refreshed and harmonized as well.

In terms of the mentioned space battle. This method temporarily clears the power generators and converters of the space ship and thus will provide some extra energy.

Imaging a space battle in a science fiction movie. An attacked ship will first of all withdraw energy from all sources which are not imperative and put all its resources into its armor and shields. Its
further strategy can be to clear the area or to strike back.

Thus, I have two suggestions to get your brain power back. One is an easy one and consists of making use of extra power. The second one is more difficult and means to concentrate your remaining energies. Its advantage is that its impact is much higher.

Well, first the hard or heroic method.
You could try a mixture of changing behaviour, awareness exercises, self love and patience.
Dry up all activities which are leading to a greater loss of personal energy, e.g. watching telly, having arguments, drinking alcohol and eating too much processed food including white flour and white sugar.
Love yourself. Send a smile to all parts of your body, to every organ and limb. Do this frequently. You and your body will enjoy this. That way you might get some useful information back in return. You might discover what your body is trying to achieve or preserve with this running in low power/awareness mode.
Then regularly focus all your thoughts, for example in your navel area.
This combination of action might not increase your awareness or intelligence at once, but it will give you a pretty good basis for further work. Patience is required at this point. That way, sooner or later you will get rid of the thing which is dragging you down.

Another and easier method I would try are sound bowls. Their application might help you for the moment (for a couple of minutes or even for a day) and give you some extra energy. For a session you may need to use up to three bowls at the same time. It works best in combination with a previous energy treatment as Reiki.

Of course, you can make use of both of them, the quick fix and the heroic method.

Hope these suggestions are useful.

Resolutions don't work! For example, if your bad habit is to walk with a stoop, you won't cause any change to happen just by forcing yourself to do so. You might walk for a few seconds with your back upright and your shoulders down, but then you will fall back into your old habit without any notice.
I agree with Tom. Awareness is the key! Don't force yourself to walk upright, but just watch yourself walking with a limp bearing. If you are observing your habit more frequently, change for the better will occur automatically some time.
A good example are chips (crisps). Try to eat a single one. First just look at it. Turn it over. Then smell it. Take yourself time for this. Don't hurry. Then put it into your mouth. Don't chew or swallow it right away. Just taste it with your tongue. Only when your mouth is full of spittle, eat it. After that, take a strawberry and do the same. If people were eating chips or other junk food more consciously they would realise how awful they taste [xx(] compared to natural food [:P]. But some people usually gulp down junk as quick as they can without any awareness involved.

Ok, it is kind of complicated and demands a lot of effort to watch TV or play computer games consciously, i.e. while you are observing yourself, your thoughts and your body. The tricky part is, that at this point it feels easier to just relax and get sucked into the game or tv show. To stay focused on yourself requires to deal with yourself, with your emotions and problems, which isn't always the most pleasant thing. You could look at this as a game or challenge! In the end this is much more fun.

Tom, I have a question. Are you only insinuating that everything is just a play of consciousness or part of maja? Or do you mean that you could actually experience or work with something different than your charka system? I mean in the past I was thinking, that chakras exist only because people believe in them. That imagining a different system as the chakra system in your body would create it or rather would you let experience it. But later on when I was experiencing my own chakras by sheer chance, I changed my mind a bit.

Greetings,
breeze

It seems that some people in this forum are having a pretty tough time. If someone wants to deal with their problem, he may provide help and advise as well as positive power and thoughts. But if your only way of dealing with their problem is to make them your problem, you will do nobody a favour. Regardless of how it is of your concern, there is definitely no room for fear. If you have fear, how do you want to help? If there are no threats like these in your reality, why are you afraid of a probability?

As Roy Frieden states it in his book "Physics from Fisher Information"(1998): "The request for data creates the law that, ultimately, gives rise to the data. The observer creates his or her local reality."

If you do want to know whether psychic attacks like the ones described can happen in your reality, (derived from Friedens findings) they definitely can. The point is, do not try to observe things you do not want to become real! Create your own world as you like it [:)]. I know that sounds a bit wired. If you're not very imaginative, you can even use someone elses world. You may choose "the great pure land" of Amida D. T. Suzuki wrote about.

General-Army, even if it sounded wired, I hope I could offer you an useful idea. I mean, I would definitely like to offer criminalmind63 some help as well, but psychic attacks are not really my area.

I can just suggest a website http://realmagick.tripod.com/ . Amoris claims to have created a protective spiritual servitor. I don't know how successful his experiment was. I haven't tried it and I would rather not like to.[|)] But according to his writings it should show some effect.

Hi Oliver,

I'm not denying that there are foreign entities. All I intended to say was that you may have experienced something very personal and something really great. The point is, maybe your fear unfortunately affected this experience pretty badly.

Ok, your body has moved, your hand lifted up and moved towards the wall, and you actually felt an entity. These are facts. It doesn't matter if they were just hallucinations or real events, cause you experienced them as real.

But let me add this. It is very likely that the unconsciousness of an introvert can draw the attention of the consciousness more easily through hallucination. On the other hand the unconsciousness of an extrovert needs to alter the environment of a person cause the consciousness of this person pays no attention for processes within himself. This explains many poltergeist phenomena.

Your unconsciousness is you. Why shouldn't it be able to move your hand?
It's all a matter of awareness and letting things go.

I even utilize this whilst cooking. If something just doesn't taste as I want it to taste and I do not have a clue what I can add, I let my hand point to the ingredient in my cupboard or fridge. My hand just moves to the stuff. It moves when I let it move. And in most cases it points to the right ingredient.

Concerning your so called spasms. If I do body work, I may experience rapid tension and relaxation. This can effect small areas or even my entire body. Anyway, the first time this happened I was a bit concerned. But according to my view, to do body or energy work and even meditation requires a mind which is curious as well as humorous and which is willing to get over its fears. If you are not ready for the latter don't force yourself to go this way. In that case stop meditation and better watch a lot TV.

In the case of a real attack just read the stuff about psychic self defense. Since in your case it has happened during the night a prayer will help. Put it in the form as you would request something. Book an angle or entity which will protect you during the night. You can even ask for four angles to protect every edge of your bed.

But believe me, you are stronger than you think. You can defend yourself as long as you have trust in yourself. And in the unlikely case that it is a really nasty attack and you are standing with your back to a wall, you do not even need to ask for help. There will be help.

There is a huge amount of love, humor and beauty in this universe. Don't let fear impede you to experience this [;)] !

Hi Oliver,

especially when you are feeling comfortable with sending love & light, I wouldn't recommend to stop doing it. In my opinion, beings who might interpret love as a weakness aren't very advanced. They misjudge energy sources as hate and fear as superior cause the derived energy of these sources prevents them to develop a higher state of awareness.

I wouldn't recommend to try to shut down a chakra or primary-center activity as well. As Robert Bruce wrote in his book "Astral Dynamics" pages 188/189:

"No localized awareness action, and no visualized action either, will be found to cause an energy center vortex or chakra to reduce activity, deactivate, or close. ... Experience has taught me that no matter how an awareness or visualized action is performed at the site of an energy center, if it has any effect at all it will cause further stimulation. ... The best way to deactivate energy centers is to leave them alone and stop using them."

I can be wrong, but my first impression was (after reading your post) that there are no foreign entities or beings which tried to get into your body. It sounds more like a psychological problem. I hope I can explain this thought with an experience I had.

The first time I got into touch with my energy body was during a 3 month acupuncture treatment which should cure my backache and tensions. I experienced wired feelings and emotions during that time. Suddenly I got very aggressive and was seething with rage without any reason. However, I recognized these feelings and emotions. I experienced them when I was a teenager but couldn't handle them. In those days my first attempt to handle them was to let my inner volcano erupt any time it wanted to. I did hurt a couple of people that way and was developing a personality I didn't like. Thus I decided to block these feelings and emotions and blocked the opening of my volcano. What can I say. It worked and I could stay the person I wanted to be: a loving person who was nice to my fellows. That way I even forgot about the strong energy within my belly. I thought I succeeded in getting rid of an unpleasant part of my personality. But in the end I just adopted a behavior which didn't respect my personality, the person who I really am. Today I know, that energy work set this part free which I had locked up. Now I can also understand why I had many dreams in which another person or even a whole army was struggling with me ... it was just this forgotten part which battled for its survival. And something or someone who thinks that it is a matter of all or nothing (to be or not to be) can really surpass itself or himself.

Maybe you are just dealing with a part of your personality? Don't expect it to adopt a form you can easily understand. If it is a part of your unconsciousness it speaks a different language as your daily consciousness. It can appear as a monster, a foreign being, whatever. But regardless its appearance its main objective is mostly to be recognized, to be accepted and to be integrated into your personality.

So what do you think? You wrote "... I never get angry it was a very rare occurance ..." and "In the past few years I've grown, become a much more caring and loving person, ..."

In our opinion, the way auraseer acts can be a way of deceiving himself.

But self-taught wisdom can be wisdom in its purest form.

Reading books and trying out certain things is definitely a good way, it can generate new ideas and new perceptions, but seeking for a teacher or master can be a great waste of time. (Have you ever read the story "The Man" by Ray Bradbury?)
Some people should just let the master find them. It does work and maybe it worked for auraseer even if he is not aware of this.

As Tom wrote "teachers are essential". But has this really to be in contrast with teaching yourself?

LaBerge and DeGarcia claim that there is a strong variability in somatosensation during lucid dreams. The question is, are these sensations, even pain, a completly mental creation or are they also influenced by sensations of the physical body?

Here is a quote, which explains LaBerges concept and thinking a bit in which these thoughts about somatisensation and dreaming are embeded ("Out of Body Experience FAQ" by Jouni A. Smed):

"Stephen LaBerge describes a theory in which OBEs [also lucid dreams] occur when people lose input from their sense organs, as happens at the onset of sleep, while retaining consciousness ... This combination of events is especially likely when a person passes directly from waking into REM sleep [WILD]. In both states the mind is alert and active, but in waking it is processing sensory input from the outside world, while in dreaming it is creating a mental model independent of sensory input ... When dreaming, we generally experience ourselves in a body much like the 'real' one, because that is what we are used to. However, our internal senses reside in the physical body, which when we are awake inform us about our position in space and about the movement of our limbs. This information is cut off in REM sleep [or almost cutt off?]. Therefore, we can dream of doing all kinds of things with our dream bodies -- flying, dancing, running from monsters, being dismembered ..."

In my oppinion, it would be interesting to know, if a dreamer who experiences himself in a dream as a disembodied point or freely moving center of awareness can also feel pain? He definitely can perceive acoustic and visual signals.

There is an articel in which this topic is mentioned. It is called "Varieties of Lucid Dreaming Experience" (2000) and is written by Stephen LaBerge and Donald J. DeGracia. According to them:

"Lucid dreams can contain content in every sensory modality, including temperature, pain, olfaction, and gustation. Most of these modalities are somewhat rare in lucid dreams, just as they are rare in waking life; ..."

LaBerge and DeGarcia mentioned a test which they did with lucid dreamers:

"The results showed a notable deficiency in the reproducibility of the concisous experience of pain on demand in lucid dreams (...). The subjects had much better success at eliciting lucid dream sensations of pressure (...) and light touch (...)."

They write, that according to their findings, "it is easier to experience pleasure than pain in dreams", which is definitely good news for lucid dreamers.

The authors suggest that "to experience convincing realistic pain in dreams, the brain may require some peripheral somatosensory input that may be interpreted as pain."

There is more to it than a conflict. It seems like something else. You wrote, that the more you raise energy the less you feel like moving your body. Even breathing seems not to be worth the effort.

If I don't know what to eat, having the feeling, that I have tasted everything, there is nothing tasty and yummy anymore, nothing I desire, in that case I just eat nothing for a while. Some time (more sooner than later) a special appetite pops up. Another method are just a few looks in very good cookery books with very authentic pictures.

Let me use a quite vivid example for this. Imagine yourself as a ship and and the world and life as the ocean. In your case you have a great crew which is very experienced in keeping the ship in a proper condition. It repaires every defect and tunes up every part for more efficiency, just to be able to weather every storm or crisis.
But what seems wrong is, that there is no helmsman or captain on the bridge who sets a course. He might be off duty in his quarters or just standing inactive behind the rudder.

So you can ask yourself, why is he inactive or off duty? If you don't know, show him some destinations (cookery book). If that doesn't help, give him a straight order, that he his temporarily suspended. After a while he might remember what his job is and were to head for and desperately wants to be employed again.

Try this out, you can even stop breathing for a while. ;-)

I think, our personal will plays a big part here... even if there might be no real difference between these two types of energy.

You mentioned energy provided by NEW, Reiki, Chi Gong etc. In siddha yoga there are supposed to be five different "pranas" which have all the task to sustain life. They have special tasks to help and serve us and as universal energies they are doing this in a pretty independent way. You might think. We are influencing them a bit all the time. Most of the time unconsciously, just in the way we are and what we want. Of course, if you are highly aware and trained, you can influence and handle these energies also consciously by will, like creating a "hot energy ball" and heal someone with it.

The other type of energy you mentioned is the energy we need to go out and so on. Like getting up in the morning they are needed for tasks, which seem to require a lot of mental energy sometimes. They don't have to.
I mean, for example, we can be fully awake and are still unable of getting out of our bed, cause we hate our job, the university or what ever. What is required here is just either a bit of will or an empty mind. We cannot do anything against our will, if we are thinking about a task rationally, or it takes huge amounts of energy. But we can use a trick: Stop the thinking and thus the blocking energy thoughts are removed as well. That means, you are stopping the pros and cons in your head and just jump out of the bed.

What I want to say is: All the things you mentioned in which you accomplish goals, they are relying on a form of energy too. But a kind of energy which is very much related to us, to our critical mind and to our will. This type of energy can be easily expressed, if it is according to our will. If that is the case, it just floats. But that isn't always the case. We are much more used to this kind of energy ... in collecting, shaping and forming it. In spite of the fact, that we know less about it.

I think the difference is, we influence energies like prana usually in a more or less indirect, subtle and weakend way. A way in which our will can never be a hurdle.

Welcome to Dreams! / Dream Pain?

Very recently I got shot in a dream twice. The first bullet in my chest did me no harm and I couldn't feel a thing, but the second one in my arm, was painful and bleeding like hell till I passed out in the middle of a street on my way to a hospital due to the loss of blood.

Pain just happens. I might be wrong, but according to my view, a dream, may it lucid or non-lucid, contains information about psychological (and physiological) processes of the dreamer. They can tell you something about recent events in your life, about your relationship to other people, about your health status or even about problems, which are normaly unconscious for you.

So, if you do have to fight regularly in your dreams, if you get wounded and so on, this can tell you something about some sort of an emotional or mental fight going on inside you. It just expresses itself through a dream and wants to be recognized of the consciousness.
According to that view, if you can feel pain or feel it even very realistic, this shows you how much you are doing harm to you by this struggle. Ok, now you might ask, what kind of struggle?
If you cannot ask your dream characters, what they are up to or which part of you they play, try to get to sleep with the thought that you don't want to harm anybody. You may get into a serious situation again, but without attacking your opponent. This could thwart a fight.
In case of an accident: just imaging during the day, that you are having some kind of painkiller in your pocket... you might find them in your pocket in the dream when you need them.

You might find another pattern in your dreams in which you experience pain. This can tell you more about what's going on and why it does happen.

PS: I once read a book of a German professor about lucid dreaming in which a man was mentioned who had done several experiments with his dreambody. He stabbed himself, burned himself, cut himself into pieces (just to experience which part of him contains his consciousness) and so on.
