I love alstral dynamics. It's very inspirational, i read it right before i go to sleep and i helps me become more aware of astral experiences.

Several years ago i used to get spontanious astral projections within several minutes of going to bed. It got to the point where i was not happy with what was happening, because at times i just wanted to go to sleep, so i had to forget about consciously projecting. I think the spontanious projections happened as a result of being too ambitious and hasty in trying to do astral techniques. I would try to get into the trance state as fast as i could and for some reason i think it had some kind of snowball effect which resulted in spontanious AP when i wasn't trying to project, against my will.
Now after reading astral dynamics i am continuing my interest in AP with more confidence and feeling more cool headed about the whole thing.
Thanks Robert Bruce

Hi Weagle,

Do you still get head pains?

If you do it might be because of some kind of congestion of energy in your head. A good thing i learned to help with this is to draw your energy down from your head to your feet and up to the sub-navel region Bruce talkes about, 2-3 times a day. Another thing that helps is keeping your tounge placed on the roof of your mouth while moving energy to and from your head and body.

From my experience I had to discontinue using hemi sync/wave 1 and even the NEW system (combined) from robert bruce because it was causing head pains when I do body awareness exercises and when I have sex (too much energy to the head causing pain) results may vary in others.  The only three things I am going to do which everyone agrees upon is to do the staring at objects and close the eyes technique and retain the image, being consciously aware of what you're doing all day and eliminating the ego's, commanding body parts to relax and doing the 5-6 hour technique ie wakeup after 5hours wash your face, then after 30mins go back to sleep for next few hours (I got many results with this), you can checkout mysticweb.org they have free courses on astral projection/esoteric/self knowledge courses they explained the ego thing in detail and made me understand what is the projection of the mind (ie dreams) and true obe's and can't wait for the other lessons that explain how to abolish ego's they explain the 5-6hour technique there as well so does stephen laberge at lucidity.com (read the faq).

My experience with binaural was not very good at all. For me it actually set my progress back. It set me back because binaural makes you give up conscious control over some of the functions of your brain that elicit a consciously controled oobe. The result of binaural was a dependancy on the gadget in order to have an oobe. I think an important aim when learning to have oobe is to gain conscious control over the experience not give it up to a gadget.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Iraq War

I also projected to bahgdad but didnt see anything you described. what i saw was basically a ghost town, except for military presence.
One unusual thing i saw was dark streaks in the sky, kind of like thick grids extending across the city. It was unpleasant, but i didnt experience it as any kind of psychic shield keeping me from observing.

Over the past several weeks I have made repeated attempts to project and see inside Iraq. With the possible exeption of what could have been a remote viewing episode where I saw three big generators in a huge underground room (beneath Baghdad?) all attempts were unsuccessful. On one occasion I came up against what appeared to be a huge pyschic shield that resembed an enormous brick and stone wall.
Also I have yet to see any reports of anyone projecting inside Iraq. This is especially strange. With everything that has been happening it would seem natural for at least a few people to project into Iraq but apparently no one has been able to do this.
Of course it is nearly impossible to know what is happening with certainly. My own guess is that some type of psychic shield or psychic wall has been put up around the top Iraqi leaders preventing the many projectors, OBEers and remote viewers from seeing inside Iraq. No doubt the US government has tried to see inside Iraq with remote viewers. Perhaps they were successful. In any event it should be much easier to project inside Iraq once US and British units begin their advance towards Baghdad. Then both the physical defenses and the psychic shield of the Iraqis will quickly begin to crumble.

I dont really like all these gadgets. They seem to give us a reason to not use conscious effort. Maybe the gadgets would be useful if there is a problem settling down or staying focused but even then i think it creates a dependency and should'nt replace conscious effort.

Ive seen him do materializations, they are nothing more than a mediocre magician can accomplish. He uses slights of hand in his materializations.
I also read reports of how a lot of Christians die while handling snakes... This is done because in Mark's Gospel, Chapter 16, verse 17: "They shall take up serpents."  Now Dewey Chafin quotes from American People Magizine, "See, I handle serpents because it's i nthe Bible, like a commandment. And I drink strychnine because the Bible says it won't hurt me. Now, either every word in that Bible is right or it's wrong."
The bible also says we should burn bulls as a sacrifice because the odor is pleasing to the lord. Lev.1:9

According to Exodus we can sell our daughters to slavery. Exodus 21:7

We can also buy slaves as long as they are purchased from a neighboring nation. Lev. 25:44

A lot of filtering needs to be done when reading the bible.

Being woken up (in a half-sleep state), and falling back to sleep with a hemi-sync on also yields very rewarding results. I recommend people try that.

Hemi-sync is ok as long as you know that it's not good as a replacement of conscious effort. Conditioning a dependance on gadgets might not work out so well.

i think powell also has written some books on the causal body, mental body, and etheric double.

It has happened to me once, too. I think that spontanous OBE can happen in almost any kind of position. I've had spontanous OBE's laying on the side. Although those seem to be short lived, and I've had very little control and the vision is poor. but the stomach one was very good.

a technique that works for me when i have little control, and poor vision is to demand control by saying with authority "control now"; for poor vision say "clarity now".

ive had projections while laying on my stomache before as well. Everytime it has happened i felt my double turning inside my body so that it is facing up, and only then would the separation happen.

True. A lot of getting from point A to point C is a personal experience which can vary amongst individuals. I guess it's up to the individual to explore the cause and effects of techniques and psychological states associated while doing the techniques that can be inhibiting him/her from accomplishing his/her goal.

Books are limited. There have been times when i had to do something differently than what the book instructed because my self was urging me to do so. Books are definitely no substitute for a good teacher or a close ear to the whispers of the higherself.

Im sure your determination and good attitude toward learning how to project will pay-off. Happy traveling[:D]
