I'm by no means new to the concept of astral projection. However, I've been attempting it for several months if not a year and have had little success. I'm starting to grow tired of attempting it so often when I'm seeing no results. I feel as if I just need someone who has actually done it to explain to me how they accomplished it for their first time. What were your signs that let you know you were close, what methods helped you the most, what did you find was useful that most sites didn't explain well enough?
I just really want to do it, but am starting to think that maybe I just cannot.
If anyone is willing to help I'll be more than thankful!!

I recently learned that trying to AP while going to sleep is very difficult for beginners. After hearing that waking up 2 hours earlier than normal and then laying down works very well, i tried it. I set a mental alarm saying to wake up at 5. I surprisingly woke up at 5:03 AM. (i normally wake up at 7:15 for school.) and layed back down with my eyes shut. Within 5 minutes i was vibrating very hard. i figured i was about to go into sleep paralysis and quickly tried to remember everything i had read on it to look for signs. I started getting a bit excited and realized the feeling was fading. I stayed focused and blank and it came but some, but then eventually went away. Was i close to astral projection at all? any tips? thanks guys! Im very excited that i actually have somewhat progressed, even if what i experienced is a regular thing for most of you.

Hello, I don't exactly know where else I could post this so I decided to post I here. Recently, I've notice that after going to a party (drinking) I go home and sleep, where I have very vivid dreams. Sometimes they are so vivid that I have to ask people if what happened was true. The night after te party I always dream about it and wake up not knowing what actually happened there. I could think one thing happened when really I dreamt that part. Just like today I heard simon cowell's name and could have sworn he was in jail for killing his girlfriend. I was wondering why they were talking about him being on the X factor, I was thinking that he'd surely be kicked off After murderig someone. At this point I thought it was probably the same situation as it usually is, I dreamt about it. So I googled it really quick and sure enough I had made it up in my head. This only seems to happen after a night of drinking. Any ideas on what it could be?

Hey i have one problem with Astral Projecting. I have a deviated septum which makes it difficult for me to breathe through my nose for most of the time. I will soon have to get a minor surgery to fix this, but who knows how long that could be. Anyways i breathe through my mouth which seems to be an issue because when i'm focusing on not focusing i have to swallow, so i have to close my mouth and swallow which interrupts my processes. any ideas on how to fix this? I really want to AP but i cant exactly fix this one issue, is it okay to swallow? will that screw it up? i obviously do this while im sleeping so its not a problem then, will this prevent me from Astral Projecting? Also for any of you who are experienced what is the best time to AP? i try to do it when i wake up in the middle of the night but i fall right back asleep. Should i do it when i got to sleep? (11:00 PM usually) or should i set an alarm and do it then? if so how long do i wait for? thanks for the answers Smiley

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / did i do it?

Hello, ive been trying AP off and on for quite a while now, and last night it just kinda hit me to give it another shot. So i closed my eyes and took deep breaths and started counting to 100. I remember getting a small vibration as normal and then dozing off and on, losing count, and then restarting at the number i thought i was at. after about 20 mins of doing this i entered what seemed to be a dream. I didnt feel any more vibrations but i just remember sitting at the computer typing and looking down and thinking how real it felt, and then within the next 5 seconds i woke up again. Would this be AP? im just not quite sure.. I've had a lot of trouble lately trying to AP. People say i need to enter sleep paralysis first, but i either lay there for 45 mins with nothing happening, or i fall asleep. Does anyone have any techniques? also something very important i should mention, that seems to pose a problem a lot is that i have a deviated septum which means that its difficult for me to breathe through my nose. ill end up having to get surgery for it. Anyways. i breathe through my mouth and everytime i have to swallow i have to shut my mouth and then swallow. could this be interupting the process? is there a way around this?

Okay so i've been trying every method in the book and i just cant seem to get OUT of my body. I start to tingle a lot and everything but i just cant leave my body. i lay there for a good 30 mins and nothing happens. my mind is completely clear and i even use the counting method to make sure im not thinking of anything else. (breathe in..1. out...2) and i do that up to 300. by then i cant really feel my body much and i feel heavy and tired. once i get here what do i do? i tried rolling out but i usually cant feel myself doing it, or i actually physically do it. and visualizing myself rising up doesnt work either. neither does the rope method. any ideas? am i not waiting long enough? should i try laying on my side? how do i know when im ready to actually leave the body. i heard entering sleep paralysis makes it easier, but i cant seem to reach that either. im not sure how far im progressing and i just need some advice. not the advice like "try visualizing yourself leaving the body" because that doesnt help very much. someone please go into detail what you do step by step to OBE. And what to do at each "stage". thanks so much!

Hello, I just recently discovered astral projection and quickly became very interested in it. Just the idea of being able to leave your body sounded taboo to me, yet intriguing. I looked up several methods on how to enter Astral projection and here's what I've came up with recently. I'll tell you what I do every night to try and finally reach it, tell me if i'm doing anything right or wrong.
1. I lay down in a dark room when I'm deciding to go to bed (not necessarily tired at this point.)
2. I find a comfortable position and stay there for as long as possible.
3. while doing so i control my breathing and count backwards from 100 slowly. Inhale...... exhale..... 99 and so on.
4. I start to feel like I am spinning in my room and i get the sensation of your arm or leg falling asleep, but everywhere, and less annoying. It's actually pleasurable.
5. I can't feel my body much at all, it actually feels as if I don't even have a body at this point the tingling may happen once or twice more, and then I either fall asleep or become disappointed that nothing has happened after 30 minutes.

I heard that to astral project you need to enter sleep paralysis first, and I can't even seem to achieve sleep paralysis. Whenever I think I'm in it I try to "roll out" an end up moving my physical body, ruining the whole process. Can anybody help? I'd really appreciate a detailed step by step guide to get there, or even get to sleep paralysis. I'm so eager to try it out, but can't even get close. Also are those tingling sensations I mentioned what I've heard as "vibrations"?
Am I close? Do I just need to do what I'm doing but longer? Any other techniques? Much appreciated.//
