I see the claim that the etheric body is made of "pure" energy a lot and I have a way to test that assertion.  If in fact, it is made up of energy, in the normal sense of the word, then it would be affected by gravity.  For those who don't know, matter and energy are the same thing, and as such they are both affected by gravity in the same way.  To see hard much mass is associated with a particular quantity of energy use the most famous equation in all of physics E=mc^2.  (Yes, I do have a degree in physics).  Now it is well known that no mass or energy can escape from a black hole, and they have recently been detected quite unambiguously.  So all you need to do is project and go into a black hole.  If your etheric body is trapped for until the universe collapses then indeed it is made of energy in the normal sense.  If you can escape then in cannot be made up of energy but must be something else.  Now if you think about it, it is quite a scary idea, having your etheric body being trapped for all eternity, so I would not volunteer for this experiment, any takers?  Hehe.  In all seriousness I think that the etheric body is not made of "pure" energy but rather something else not yet detected by scientific instruments and maybe never will be.

Auraseer, I'll be blunt because others don't seem to want to be.  And I am doing this because i've been in your shoes.  Stop seeking outside attention and love yourself.  You are special, but so is everyone else, just as special as you think you are, even people without your "powers."  I see alot of your posts and they seem to be a cry for help, you feel lonely and unimportant so you seek out attention from outside sources by procliaming your greatness, in an intentionally humble way.  Again, just love yourself for who you are.  I will probably get flamed for be insensitive, but I feel being direct and honest with people is beneficial for both sides.  Grow as a person, and become emmotionally self independant.

Thanks for the comment.  I have in fact projected many times and I feel strong vibrations before doing so and when I am out I feel like a point of conciousness most of the time and sometimes I fell that I have some spatial extent.  Im just glad to know that people don't really mean "energy" when they say energy.  How about a new term "ethergy".  Hehe, its dumb I know.  Do you know what the people saw when going through the black hole?

My OBE experiences have been very different from my lucid dream experiences.  So distinct in fact, that I have no doubt that they are different phenomena.  It sucks that you haven't been able to control it yet (sorry I can't help to there), but you must learn to if you want to prove to yourself that is it real.  Try to read cards (as recommended above) or observe another objective scene.  For instance, when I first started having OBEs I decided to see if what I was experiencing was real or a dream. So I decided that the next time I had an OBE I would go outside with the sole purpose of finding something objective that I could then go and observe awake.  When the next OBE occurred I went straight outside repeating the purpose (find something objective) to myself over and over.  Very soon I saw two people walking up the street across from my house, one in white and the other in black, I then head straight back to my body and told myself to wake up and run outside to check my observation.  When I woke, up I ran outside and saw the people.  This convinced me that it was real.  I would like to do more test to see how accurate I am but I have had mixed results deliberately OBEing, they just happen when I am very, very tired and fall asleep on my back.  Hopefully Robert's book will help me.

Karma is not an abstract idea when viewed over one life cycle.  It is simply the culmination of your deads and how they now affect you.  Suppose that you were a total butt to people in general all your life.  Now suppose you need help from others, well its not likly to happen.  Now suppose that you have been kind and helpful to others, when you need help you will probably get it. This is just one example of karmas concreteness and Im sure that you can think of many more.  Now supposedly your actions carry over with your from life to life and then the concept must get more abstract.  This is just my view of it I hope your found it worth while reading.

Not likely to do the whole job but it may help.  Another way to quickly do an obe is have a NDE, just kidding.

Hi, it great that you are showing an interest in this stuff.  I recommend that you buy robert bruces book, Astral Dynamics .  It if full of great information and will help you project and answer many of your quesiotns regarding the danger involved ( by the way it is very small).

Yeah these sort of illusions are common.  I have had many, one that is very similar to yours is that often when in sleep paralysis I see an older lady looking down at me.  She seems very kind though.  One time she even followed me on a camping trip.  One time and old mean lady watched me and then jumped onto my chest, it freaked me out.  One other time a baby type thing, very very very evil, crawled up onto my chest with a knife in its hand.  Needless to say it scared the excrement out of me and I stopped trying to OBE for a while.  But since I've started again I havn't seen or heard anythind too scary.  I think that this stuff is our imagination or negs and pose no real threat.

I agree with you James, but I doubt that Auraseer "believes" that he did anything with KI.  I think that it is more likely that he knows he is faking this for attention, his attempts to stage the videos, while pathetic, are done deliberately.  Also, I have been convinced by video of many things, and one thing is that his videos show nothing but a kid who wants attention.  I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but sometime the truth isn't pretty.

For me I just lay on my back and relax and then feel muself get heavier and heavier and then realize that I an totally awake but paralysed.  If I then induce a 'falling' feeling I start to feel lite vibrations at which point I can usually move my astral arms and see through my eyelids.  If I falls more the vibration become stronger and, I hear a very loud 'rushing' noise, sometimes accompanied by voices.  If I can ignore the vibrations I call fall even further and the virbration become extrmely powerful and sometimes I can pop out of my body, most of the time from the chest.

In my experience I have found that when I am falling into a trance I go through two phases. Initially when I try to move my arms, I try to move my physical arms.  This is frustrating because they are paralysed.  But as I go deeper into the trance I start to move my astral arms.  Most of the time it feels just like moving my arms when I am awake.  Sometimes it feels like they are stuck to my body with rubber bands.  I can usually tell its my astral arms becasue I can see them and they look like they are made up of tons of tiny red, glowing particles.

I'm with you hash puppet.  Those tapes are obviously fake and all of them can be easily explained using a little physics.  Yes I do have a degree in physics and yes I am a believer in things metaphysical but I refuse to throw reason to the wind and believe obvious forgeries.  I can imagine why he would fake them, for attention, but I still think it is a harmful activity in that it discredits true ability.  Giving credit to this stuff doesn't, in my opinion, increase others' willingness to believe your own abilities but the opposite.  They see you blankly going along with falsehoods and assume your ability has no credit either.  I wish people could approach this stuff with there heads intact.  I know it seems that present knowledge and the metaphysical are incompatible, but that is simply not true.  This realm hasn't yet been fully explored by people using their heads and not imagination.  I see so much potential for human spiritual growth, but believing anything thrown at you will not help this process only hinder it.  This is just my humble opinion and I am sorry if I have offended anyone, especially fake ki ball guy.

It is important to me because during an OBE I remember why I am here, and that everything is OK and as it should be.  That my failures are really just learning experiences and they are actually positive.

I think that you found the root of the problem, you weren't relaxed enough.  This can cause painful exit sensations.  It happens to me too but in my lower back when I'm not relaxed enough.

Hope, you have just that, hope.  You were put here for a reason.  Your higher self chose this, and for good reason.  There can be no growth without suffering, so just know that all is well and as it should be.  There are no cosmic mistakes.  I know that this won't help you much but always remember that you are a strong person and can make it through your appointed task.

CresentCat have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?  It when you are going to sleep, but only your body does not your mind?

The vibations I feel before an exit are extremly different from anything that I have ever felt while not in trace, including adrenaline rushes.  This is just my own personal experience though.

I saw a show where they demonstrated what I believe is the true cause of spontanious combustion.  A few backgroud facts first.  1.  It is an American phenomenon.  They do not report such things in europe.  2.  The person burns but the surroundings don't.  Well the explaination and demonstration went like this.  When a fat person catches on fire with a sweater of some other like material they act like a candle.  The fat melts and is suched up through the sweater or other porious material causeing the person to slowly burn with a flame only a few inches tall.  The scientist proposing this theory even had a video recording in which he burned a fat cadaver adn sure enough after about 12 hours of a slow low burn, the body and bones had been incinerated just like in other 'spontanious combustion' cases.  I do not mean to question your beliefs but I think that reason should be applied to understaning the world, both physical and etheral.

I am a student maojoring in physics.  I have taken quantum I and quantum II and must say that unfortunatly it would not predict that you would transport your body.  Or more correctly that the probability that you could transport all the atoms in your body is miniscule.  So small in fact that if you tried a million times a second from the begining of the universe to the end of it it still would net be very likely of happening;.  But quantum mechanics isn't well understood so the possiblility remains;.

skips I am a senior majoring in physics and I can tell you that in fact we are 100% energy.  Recall E=mc^2. This tells us the mass and energy are equivalent.  In fact it is believed that mass as we experiences it is a result of the kinetic energy of the quarks that comprise sub-atomic particles.

hebrewman are these intruders physical or etherial.  I ask only because the solution to your problem will be vastly different for the two cases.
