Okay, so yesterday night / morning. Around 5AM I nearly came out of my body. Well, I guess you can say I did but I don't know if it was a dream?? I remember having the sleep paralysis but I wasn't scared but I was laying on my hand. This has happened like three times now in the last two weeks but I keep waking up either because of me laying on my hands and feeling uncomfortable or because I end up falling back to sleep again.

But, anyway. yesterday night I actually saw my hand. It was like a blue / grey color and I was moving it. It was hard to move it though because I was still inside my body at the same time.

I then remember going back to sleep again. Don't know if it was a dream or what. :/ I actually saw it come out of my body, it drifted right through my sheets but I didn't have senses though. It was like I wasn't cold or hot or anything. It was like I was just an observer of myself.

Anyway, one other question I've been meaning to ask. When you astral project, how do you go into a higher plane ?? I've heard that you can also get bad entities and if you fear them, which I'm likely to do then they can hurt you apparently, is this true ?? Thanks people.

Is it possible to go into the future and get lottery numbers ? hehe

Kieran, I may be going blind, but I didn't see all of your question addressed, so, if you figured this out already, please bear with me: More than likely you are waking up from a quick sleep, and are not lucid, therefore you forget everything that your conscious awareness would know, and react emotionally. 

Nope, it defiantly felt different from a quick sleep. I slept on my left side which I normally don't do because I feel uneasy all the time, like I'm being watched which causes me to always sleep no my right but I'd though I'd try the left for some reason.

I went into a dream state and then jolted a wake a bit. Well, I felt like my soul had shifted backwards out of me and then came the high pitched frequency in my head and the sleep paralysis. The reason I said I cannot remember anything is because it was so sudden I didn't know what was happening so I initially freaked out. Just like if someone were to wake to unexpectedly while you're trying to regain over what just happened.   

I used to have unwanted sleep paralysis (SP) all the time and I know how frustrating it can be.  Here are some things you can do to get rid of it that worked for me.  Don't take a nap anywhere close to bed time.  You should be awake at least 6 hrs. before you go to bed. Also, force your mind to stay a bit active as you're trying to fall asleep. --Sounds counter-productive I know!  It worked for me, though.  Blank mindedness invites SP. Keep grounded in the physical by being very involved in life.  Don't meditate or do too much self reflection.  All that said, I hope you take the plunge and go OBE!  You can work through the fear and have amazing experiences that will change your life!   

Okay, I will try your methods. They seem quite logical to be honest. Also, do you get headaches the day after ? Well, not headaches more like shooting pains on the right side of your head?

Now... think about everything you just said from the perspective that you don't ever have a "body" to begin with.

But doesn't the brain make us conscious ? Without the brain we wouldn't know who we were which would mean we wouldn't be aware. If we died their would be no silver cord which would mean we wouldn't be projecting from are own body, which would mean we wouldn't take form of are body ?

I can see where you're coming from though, I think. But if that's the case and all are body is nothing but a shell then what's the point in a body? If the only function of the brain is to keep us linked with the astral world and to keep the body functioning where is are knowledge / memories stored? Do you think it could have anything to do with the silver cord?

Also, I was reading about the overcoming sleep paralysis and I cannot stop it. I even tried moving my body but all that does it seem to wake me up... It's so difficult. Also, another thing that's really concerning me would be that if I try to keep on doing it, will they become easier to invoke in the future because I don't want them happening every night.... That would drive me crazy.

Hey, yesterday night was a tough one. I went to bed, got woke up at about 4AM by my family and then thought about having a OOBE. So, I don't really remember much after that apart from my mind was very active but I was still tired. Anyway, I sent to sleep and had a lucid dream about my dead grandad. I had a dream that he was sitting downstairs in the couch but he wanted me to pay attention to the time for some reason. It was 8:30PM.

Anyway, I woke back up suddenly with a jolt and felt like I came out of my body for a couple of seconds and then I heard a high pitched frequency and I was paralyzed. But, like an idiot I felt scared and disrupted the paralyzed part where it was too scary. I felt fearful although I already have anxiety so that might play a part in that. I did my best to move and broke free in my body.

I woke back up fully and then went back to sleep again. Only this time I switched back to my right side because I never sleep on my left side because I feel scared sleeping on that side because OOBE occur more often. Anyway, I tried to relax my body while keeping an active mind. I went to sleep and back came the paralyzed feeling. Guess what I did ? I woke myself back up on purpose because I didn't know what the hell was going on and was too scared.

Basically, I was scared because when it keeps happening I have no idea why. I loose all my memory and forget I'm even trying to have an OOBE. I don't want anyone else going into my body, or I don't want to make them more frequent because it will stop me from getting sleep. I would like to know what they feel like though. Can others see you ?

Another question would be, when you die do you stay out of your body like that all the time. Or do you just die because seen as your brain is what's causing it does that mean when your body dies you won't even stay out of your body. ??
